Entry is a bargain at 8 dinars to the whole archaeological site. It takes about 2 hours to see everything. Bring water. Visited in June, and was the only visitor at the time. The amphitheatre looks fantastic and you are able to go into the centre, underneath (where animals would be kept), and around the seating area. It's a well preserved amphitheatre (with some reconstruction in certain parts). Really great experience.

Visit this place if you can. Part of the Uthina site. See my review of that. Definitely explore around the underground caverns, below the steel create. There are lots of natural light but some dark creepy spots, too. Note the trough in the middle running along the underground passage below the stage... used to drain blood and other yuck from animals and humans too. Use your imagination. This place was normally packed with people and activity. It's dead quiet now, but in its day, it was the place.

Visited the amphitheatre as part of the "off the beaten track" exchersion arranged through Tui. The whole trip was very interesting and the guide provided had excellent knowledge on the history of Tunisia. Highly recommended trip the included lunch was great too.

In Carthage Tunisia, Africa Taking you back to the Roman Empire Gladiator Days as I visited this Amphitheater Coleseum of 49BC Era. I ventured the underground passage ways where the Gladiator behind the scenes took place. A must see if traveling to Tunis, Tunisia to see the Roman Empire Ruins in Carthage 🇹🇳 Tunisia.
