Lots on offer for families. We started at the Noreuil Park Playground. This enclosed playground was beautiful with the enormous trees acting as shade cloths. It's not as big as Oddies Playground which works in its favour as most families head to Oddies leaving Noreuil playground relatively empty. It looks out onto the Murray River and the Noreuil Park Foreshore. Just outside the playground there are BBQ facilities and seating. Otherwise there is a cafe right next door. From there we headed along the foreshore walk which was beautiful. There were people having picnics whilst others kayaked down the river. Along the walk there were tables and directions to different walks. As we walked there were heaps of birds to photograph, including the Red Rumours Parrot and the Eastern Spinebill (photos included). They are currently upgrading the walk with a large section closed. You can get back on track by walking along the grass. What's close by: * Oddies Playground

Serene, peaceful, green, and a perfect setting for a family picnic. If you’re staying at Albury, I can assure you that your trip is incomplete without taking a stroll on the banks of the Murray River, at Noreuil Park!

This beautiful park butts up to the bank of the Murray River. At present almost the entire park is under water, the river has broken its banks and the water flowing down the small creeks has nowhere to go. In normal circumstances Noreuil Park provides something for everyone. It has a really fun adventure playground for kids, well maintained toilets, Picnic & BBQ facilities including hotplates and tables, recently upgraded pathways, outdoor gym, boat ramp, a canoe club and one of the best eat-in and takeout restaurants in the area, the River deck. Needless to say the restaurant has an excellent deck nestled in the elbow of the Murray.

Great spot on banks of Murray River. Good picnic areas with lots of parking. Good spot to take the family. Autumn leaves last weekend were beautiful.

As others have said this is a first class picnic area with plenty of tables, shade, a kids play ground and a great restaurant cafe. One of our favourite places in Albury. When we were there the river was running much higher than normal.

Every time I stay at Albury for work I have an early morning walk around the boardwalk and have a dip in the river. If you are not a competent swimmer do not swim, the current can be deceiving.

This park is absolutely beautiful. A lot of thought has gone into planning. The facilities were the best I have ever seen in a park, especially the toilet facilities in the complex where the coffee shop is.

Fantastic area for a picnic, or to have a dip in the river. Lots of shade and plenty of picnic tables. Great Cafe here, but doesn't do takeaway except for icecreams. Good playground for the kids. Perfect spot to stop and get out of the car on a long trip, bring your own food but, heaps of choice in Albury.

A great park that's on the banks of the Murray River that has plenty of shaded areas with BBQ, picnic tables and an enclosed playground for the kids. Plenty of car parks and there is a cafe and public restroom. Great place to stop for a break when passing through Albury when travelling, as it's only a 5 to 10 min drive off the hike hwy

Great spot for river swimming given the conditions are good and you are capable of handling the river flow...

Love it here. Beautiful old trees, plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. A cafe and kids playground nearby. Plenty of parking under the big trees too. Lots of grassland for kids to run and play. Beware in the water as the current can be quite strong. But the water is always cool and refreshing

Impressive huge Plane trees line the carpark and foreshore providing shade, inspiration and an oasis for forest bathers along the mighty Murray river. The lushness and tranquil environment is great for humans and paw buddies. There's a cement platform for those wishing to take an invigorating dip in the river. Popular cafe, kids playground, public toilets, ample number of rubbish bins and water refill station. This is a great spot for relaxing or the beginning of an adventure by foot or river.
