Stayed there on a impromptu trip to Chicago in December, reviewing now with another trip impending to warn off anyone thinking of going here. The negative reviews are more in-line with our experience than the positive; dirty rooms with old food wrappers and underwear under the beds, moldy showers, thick layers of new paint over old dilapidated construction, and even urine in the walkways! Ended up paying double at check-in, got a refund back to the quoted $60/night rate. If you're on a long trip, and this is your last resort, maybe consider some energy drinks and keep going. Wish we had- the kids still have nightmares about this place.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else; the location in Naperville is WAY more comfortable, clean, and professional than this dump. Be warned: does not accept cash deposits and is not posted anywhere, despite the clerk saying it was. The cleanliness of this place is just awful; ants everywhere, room smells like urine, dirt in the bed, hair and dirt all over the floor, AC unit is filthy, towels smell, and the shower had mildew stains. Our TV had nothing hooked up to it so we couldn’t even watch anything. The front desk staff are unsympathetic to anyones complaints so everything falls on deaf ears. Will definitely NOT stay here ever again.

I have been there for Fifteen a nights . Well, the first thing you have to know is that not all the rooms are OK. You have to verify the room and check it out and inspect it. I had to change the room because it was not that good. Many things where there are not up to the level. First, there was so many places that are dirty. For example, look until the iron table. You'll find. It's very dusty and full of dust and Bags thrown away, so you have to inspec Everythin Before you take the room. The stuff are fine and very helpful but they cannot help that much because of I َGuess the hotel restrictions Set by the hotel management. As for the prices, I guess the prices are fair. But even though they still does not worth. , you can add a little bit more and go to a better place.

This was one of the worst, nastiest places I've stayed. The room was very old , paint on top of paint on top of paint, the shower was filthy, the bathroom was filthy, bathtub dripped all night, there was a lime left in our ice bucket. The floors were so nasty & dirty, we kept our shoes on & wouldnt put our bare feet on the floor. No refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker, no hair dryer. Ohh but there are soap dispensers! But yea that don't work either. The ice machine was around the corner from our room, ON THE 3RD FLOOR! Only one in the place. Yea that didn't work either, we had to go across the street to get ice from the gas station. The linens just felt icky when we laid down, like the bedbugs were gonna come out to party with us. Very disgusting place. Never ever staying here again. Just going to add for those who think why did you stay...we were in town to help a friend move into her new place & this was the place she put us up in.

This place needs to be shut down! I've never seen something so disgusting. It's so bad I showed the manager and he couldn't have cared less. He said nobody washes the bedding... dude seriously said that. You can't make that up. I don't believe there has ever been a happy customer here I honestly think the reviews are fake STAY FAR AWAY. Sleep in your car if you have to. You'll get diseases at this place

I'm confused as to why this hotel is considered the "Red roof plus+" when even the basic red roof inns do much better than this. No soap, shampoo or body was was provided, the TV only picked up local channels and in a very poor quality. A light was crooked, none of the outlets were tight and just let your phone chargers fall right out. The location is nice, plenty of food nearby, highway access, ect. And the rooms were clean, sheets were nice and it smelled like all the other red roof rooms. Just a waste of money in the end though, even somewhere cheaper will have a better stay even if it's a little out of the way. Don't. Book. Here.

This place was a total dive! I've stayed at some dirt bag holes before but this place topped them all. Between the ant hill in the bathroom wall behind the door, the scum ring in the tub then the dirty bandaid in the drain of the tub. It looked as though the room hasn't been cleaned in the last 3 stays. The room was also the smallest room I've ever had to stay in the beds were hard. Just an overall disappointment and probably will never stay at another red roof inn because of this experience. The guy behind the counter though was absolutely great tricked us into thinking we were at a nice establishment.

I stayed here while visiting the Sears Headquarters. This location is in very close proximity to there. The room was an upgraded one that had a desk and a nice chair, among other amenities. This hotel offers great value for you dollar. You get the basics which is really all I need when traveling.

Housekeeping is well trained and seem to enjoy being at work. The light switches in the room were broken, the GFI circuit often needed reset and the hairdryer didn’t work. A rare giant black ant. Good water pressure and reliable hot water. Drains flow smoothly. Comfortable place for me and my cat to spend a few days. I was furious when they refused a package which was overnighted to me.

Room was dirty. Floor under the table and around the red chair was not mopped. The door to the bathroom had a hole in it, the floor in the bathroom was coming up, the baseboards in the bathroom were coming off, the shower had mold in it. The floor under the beds was not cleaned for weeks as my children found bottle caps and part of toys from previous guests. The fridge was not clean. The light by the night stand did not work. The coffee maker in the room was not compatible with the coffee/trays provided. No soap in dispensers both in bathroom, and by the sink. The elevator wasn't working and while it was cold during my stay the 3rd floor was not shoveled of snow and no ice was put down on the stairs making it for a very slippery situation for myself and my family. Will never be staying there again and urge everyone else to stay away.

Went to RED ROOF INN PLUS for a weekend to celebrate my birthday It was an amazing experience, great customer service.good hospitality the room was great and they even updated our suite! Not to mention it was very clean and great view. What stood out to me the most was hayat (who works at the reception), she went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience at hotel and even suggested some hood places to visit in town, not to mention how sweet and helpful she was. If there’s any sort of reward for his excellent work, please do! I will definitely be coming back for summer.

Very nice room. The staff was great! The only issue was that the tub was backed up and would not drain. Could not take a shower unless you wanted to stand in dirty water. However, I told the front desk about this issue, and they are sending someone to the room to fix it. Will update on whether they fix it or not. Just wanted to give the update... They could not fix the tub, so they changed my room. All was great! Will definitely stay there again should I need too.

My sister just tried to book a [room there and was turned away by a woman ( middle eastern or mexican descent) at the first desk then proceeded to call the cops once we asked for evidence on why she could nont stay. The cops arrived and asked for the same proof to be met with the same lack of answers. I think that if you do stay here, it might be worth it to consider who you are supporting as there is no short of prejudice staff here.

The lady at the front desk was so kind and accommodating, she helped me out when the 3rd party booking website booked me for 3 rooms instead of just the 1 I needed. Rooms were spotless as well, will definitely be coming back, thank you!

I recently stayed at Red Roof and had a surprisingly great experience for a budget motel. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering all the basic amenities you'd expect. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by Hayat at the front desk. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, from quick check-in to providing local restaurant recommendations. It's rare to find such dedicated customer service in a motel setting. Thanks to Hayat, our stay was more enjoyable than we could have hoped for. I would definitely recommend this motel. Five stars!

The staff is racist. I had a reservation for a client who needed to stay in a hotel for one night. We booked the room for them at 9:00 PM on Saturday and received a confirmation. By the time our client gets to the hotel a man at reception turned them away. I called the hotel and he stated that he needed a US issued ID to stay in the hotel. I know this isn’t a requirement at any hotel because of discrimination. The person had their birth certificate which had the name on the reservation. I told the receptionist this to which they replied “i cant read whatever this is in” and laughed. I asked them to point me to the regulations that state you need a U.S. issued ID and he said that it was an ordinance from Hoffman Estates. I could not find any information for any mandate that stated you needed a US issued ID to stay in a hotel. So at 11:00 PM, we had to different arrangements for the client.

The price was good. We stayed for 4 days. I checked in about midnight, the night desk clerk was anything but professional. His appearance was an older heavy man with a very scruffy bears and greasy long hair. I was asked for a room deposit that I wasn't aware of. If I hadn't already paid for my room I wouldn't have stayed. I was put on the 3rd floor and when I said that I had a heart condition the man checking me in was very short with me and said "We have an elevator." He put me half the way to the end from the elevator. While walking to my room there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the room 2 door down from mine. When my elderly mother and I got into our 3rd floor room it was very musty smelling. The next morning I went downstairs to get coffee for my mother and was told that there was no form of breakfast. I then requested to be moved to another room and we were changed to a 1st floor room that was much more present smelling and had a broken coffee pot in the room (the 3rd floor room did not). The beds were not as high as the first room but just as comfortable. When I went to get ice there wasn't an ice machine any where but the 3rd floor all the way at the end. The second day our room was not cleaned and nothing was replenished. When we returned to our room on the last night at about 11:30pm there was someone breaking out the window of the last room on the same saie we were on. When my mother called the front desk to tell them about the lady told her that she didn't see what we had just saw. My mother told her again that we had just seen that happening she said she would have someone check into it. The water pressure in the shower isn't that great but it gets the job done. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel for more than just a night or a last resort. Very poor service.

I’ve stayed here at the red roof inn plus for a while and I was always treated with kindness. It’s clean and cost efficient. The guest service members Matt and Jackie are the absolute best! Both are very nice and helpful. I recommend staying at the red roof inn Hoffman estates to anyone. Thanks again so much for everything!

I was going from one hotel to another for weeks/months....until I found this place. Whenever I needed anything they were nice and friendly with accommodating me. If you upgrade your room to a superior...it is well worth it! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will return in the future if need be.

The location is great. The room was spacious, clean, well maintained and had all amenities offered in most hotels. Being cheaper you might see some shady looking people staying in the building, that was the only -ve. Other than that I felt the room was on par with the 4* hotel I stayed in chicago downtown. Stayed only for 1 night, didn't have a complimentary breakfast, and the lobby was closed due to covid restrictions.

Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and wanted to check in and they said once our room is available, that they will call us. So after a long day of traveling we were able to check in early and rest. Thanks front desk staff for your awesome service! Once in our room, we were greeted by a super clean. The housekeeping staff was also extremely kind and took very good care of us. The hotel is super clean and organized, with a very professional staff

This is a Red Roof Inn PLUS, it should be treated as such. The photos show what I saw in my room, but the staff has been told. I have also received a phone call after my first review so this one is edited and updated! The front desk is very friendly, I just ask that they communicate with their staff when someone has a later checkout, or suggest they give out the “do not disturb”. Safe to walk around with my dog and park my car. Grateful for the level of cleanliness outside. Rooms could use some TLC

The rooms were clean and comfortable thanks to Mike uncle and Backy auntie for that, rooms are very comfortable, and the staff at Red Roof Plus (Hoffman Estates, chicago) are all great! Especially beautiful lady “Hayat Khan”is always been very attentive and helpful. Her kind gesture and hospitality has always been beyond satisfaction. Red roof plus Highly recommended

Very spacious room, and a very comfy big bed. Had to do a very last minute business trip at 11pm, and needed a place for the night. They were very accommodating, and I got a good night's sleep for the long drive.

July 14th-18th DO NOT LET LOOKS DECEIVE YOU! Booked online and was not impressed upon arrival. Me and my wife were slightly disappointed when the Uber dropped us off. Seemed like a few sketchy characters on the property, looked a little run down, and realized why it was the cheapest around. UNTIL...we went in the office to check in. We were 3 hours early and still checked us in and waived the fee. I didn't get her name but she was SUPER polite and accommodating! Then it was on to the room... FANTASTIC! It was super clean, smelled fresh, and was a total hidden gem! They are going through a refresh and the carpenters were VERY polite. I would give 5 stars but the ice machine was one the 3rd floor on the other side of the building! Give it a chance!

Very nice weekly stay, room rates cheapest in the area. For me they had everything I needed, except ESPN! Although the TV guide stated that they did but they did not. A couple if employees told me the reason why, in my opinion still unacceptable, the TV guide menu should have been changed. A lady named Jacqueline was extremely helpful and very, very nice.

I had a pleasant stay at this motel, and Hyatt at the front desk made a significant difference. From the moment I arrived, Hyatt's helpfulness stood out. She was friendly, attentive. The room itself was clean and cozy, providing a good night's rest. While the motel may not be luxurious, Hyatt's excellent service made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend asking for Hyatt when you check in; she truly enhances the overall stay with his exceptional customer service.Thankyou again. 😊😊😊
