    The service was some what good the lady who was the cook did more for us than our actual server , very crowded, smelt like old cheese & food there was trash laying around and some people walked around with an attitude the food was gross and dry felt like it was just heated up in a microwave I had to ask for Mayo to put on my burger!! Do not recommend!!

    I have noticed in the last year or so that some restaurants have really gone downhill. Maybe it's due to COVID fallout, staffing issues, etc. I will have to say, however, that this trip to Applebee's in South Boston was a good one. Ashley and the other servers were very friendly and attentive. Regardless of all other factors, a good server is going to make or break your experience. So, Ashley, keep up the good work!

    Great service. Great food. Great server. They really have increased and changed their menus but for the better. I really enjoyed the spot and would go back again while in the area.

    I visited this restaurant for my birthday and all I can say is the experience was amazing. The waitress was very kind and the food was amazing. The store was kept clean and the employees were never standing around doing nothing they were constantly cleaning or helping others out. I truly hope that y'all keep up the amazing work because I will be back again. Update: Once again an amazing place. It was kept clean and the person was able to sit me and the group of 7 we was with. Will be going back again..

    Thanks Ashley for making my meal right. I order the spinach-artichoke dip with chips via curbside . The chips were not tasting good at all, as if the grease was old or something. I called back and Ashley made it right. Very nice attitude.

    Stopped in for a quick lunch before work. Ashley Newton was a fabulous server. We were in and out in ample time. Food was good. It seems management is turning things around. We will be back!

    The food is great but the employees are better, Especially the bartender Ashley. She is amazing and such a beautiful soul. She does her best to serve us with smiles and love. She is awesome with making drinks to perfection. I will definitely come back to Applebee's

    I would give this place no stars if I could. Stopped in here on Jan 6th well before closing. Had to ask another waitress for refills on separate occasions. My fiancé ordered The New Neighborhood Double burger. They fail to tell you that their double burger is one patty broken in half and placed on top of each other. You have way more bread than anything. This place is way overpriced, the food was not all that great and our server was horrible. This place has really went downhill over the years. Will not be returning.

    We walked in went straight into the bar wasn't crowded, clean, was really good food for the price and the help was awesome. The restrooms could have been a little cleaner would be my only complaint

    Let me share the positive first. Ordered from the 2 for $25 menu and had oriental salad and my daughter had the chicken tenders. The food was good. Had a red sangria and margarita and it didn't come until after the appetizer so well over 15-20 minutes for the drinks. Now to the bad- the place smelled like urine to use a nicer term. They have a separate closed room for smokers so maybe that explains the old musty odor. After receiving our check the waitress preluded a question she to wanted to ask my daughter and me and stipulated we didn't have to answer but she wanted to know why we came to South Boston. Understand we are and were at the time the only black people aside from the restaurant's cooking staff, so I didn't know how to answer that question. My response was kind but later as my daughter and I discussed and ran it by others it appeared to almost indicate we stood out and/or didn't belong in that restaurant. So for sure never returning and going forward if ever asked such a question where a prelude to the question which indicates she must have known she was going to ask something inappropriate has to be made vs a simple "what brings you all to South Boston?"

    They simply have no structure. There is not enough help and seems to be lacking leadership and drive. Waiting too long to be seated in a near empty restaurant. My food wasn't the best.

    This place sucks. My parents went to this place & were disrespected. Management needs a serious look. Waitress was rude food was incorrect. I would never. Don’t go here they are terrible

    Y'all know I HATE leaving bad reviews....Our first time at this Applebee's, and it was awful. First off, let me say the waitress was super nice, but she could not possibly have been more attentive due to her being the only server there. I ordered a margarita that was so bitter and salty I had to let the shaker water down and place that portion in before I could drink it. We also ordered queso and chips, which already had skin like shredded melted cheese (not queso cheese), and the chips had a funny taste. I had the southwest chicken bowl. The chicken was cooked perfectly, but the whole thing had no flavor. My husband had the shrimp parmesean Sirloin with fries and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was fishy, and the steak was overcooked for what he asked for. They placed almost everyone on the same side of the restaurant, and on one side, we had a loud mouth and on the other, someone played a game on his phone at the highest volume setting which of course in the the restaurants fault other that they sat everyone back to back in a mostly empty restaurant. The music in the restaurant was the worst ever, think musac in the 90s. We also did not get the Indiana Jones tickets for the new movie. Spend over 35 dollars, and you get a movie ticket for the upcoming movie. We spent $78 with tip.

    Had dinner and the food was good. Our server Ashley was absolutely amazing. She’s very attentive and thoughtful of your dining experience. I feel she goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are well taken care of! Definitely one of the best servers there!!

    Yesterday my husband and I visited Applebee’s because it was the only seated restaurant in the area I really know about. My husband didn’t want to go because the service is always bad every time we go. I don’t live in South Boston, but I work in that industry also, and I know how bad it can get if you do not have sufficient help. It is always the food, service or something bad each time I go. Yesterday it looked to be a party of 10-12 people (Black) waiting for 45 minutes to be served and never got help. They had to leave. The restaurant was empty at the time. They told us when we came in not to waste our time, but I finally saw a waitress, so I stopped her. I asked were they open for business because a whole party just left because they couldn’t get served. I did noticed quite a few workers there, but they were not assisting customers. I really don’t understand a restaurant staying in business turning away those many customers at one time in an empty restaurant. But the waitress I found did help us after I talked to her, and she was very attentive to our needs. I really don’t know how this restaurant stay in business.

    My friend and I went to Applebee's Friday at 12:00 to celebrate our birthday. It was my first time. We each got a half a slab ribs which our waitress told us that they were 2 for 20.00 . We got a Pepsi for 4.00 each. Anyway , my friend got up and went outside and I was.given the bill. I almost fell over. I am disabled, battling ovarian cancer, Rheumatoid Arthritis. I can't afford these prices. It was pretty good. The ribs were dry. I won't be eating at Applebee's anytime soon. Thank u for your kindness. Sincerely, Sheila Norris

    The food was wonderful and the service was very good. Ashley had us laughing the entire time. She also recommended the 2 for $25 menu, which basically gave us the entrees we were going to get anyway but included an appetizer for about the same price.

    I used the phone to order, told me it would be ready 6:33 pm. It started going downhill when the automated system asked me what the name on order was to be. I said my last name, and it took the name Mike and had no option to change. I got there at 6:28. Let them know I was there right away. They said be right out, my food came out to me at 7:08 pm . I asked if it was still warm. The person said, " Not really!" They gave me my food and card and walked away. And they only offered a veteran's discount of any kind if you ate inside on Veteran's Day.

    It took over an hour to get our food after ordering. Meal came out before appetizer. Steak was not what was ordered and was cooked med well not med rare. Wrong sides were on another meal. Waitress asked others about drink refill, never my daughter nor myself. Every table got their food before us and they arrived after us. There was only four at our table. I know it was not the waitresses fault totally but this was the worst experience we've ever had.

    Was really needing to refuel. I had the Bacon cheddar grilled chicken sandwich and it was perfect. If I was blindfolded and was brought to a random restaurant and asked to eat the chicken sandwich I would have thought that I was at a very high scale restaurant. I substituted the fries for the new waffle fries and they were also very very good! If you have not had the waffle fries, you need to try them they are very crispy and flavorful. There was really nothing about the food that I would change, and would love to eat this every day. My waitress was amazing, and very friendly/energetic. I think her name was Christy but I’m not sure. Sharron, the Manager, was also awesome and very personable. She takes a lot of time to table touch and have small conversations with as many customers as possible. I highly recommend this Applebee’s.

    Time for you guys to do some cleaning between the walls and benches. The clothes my waitress had on did not look clean. The silverware still had residue on it so we ate with plastic. Take out will be my only option from now own. The food is and always has been delicious.
