The general manager (who comped us a breakfast after the people in the room next door had been partying all night) and the restaurant staff seem to be the only people there who know what they are doing. Fire alarm went off on Thursday evening; guy at the front desk was walking around laughing and filming with his phone instead of directing guests to proper staging area or even checking if everyone was safe. Fire brigade arrived after about 10 minutes and then left without any staff making an effort to inform guests it was safe to come back in. Other person behind front desk seemed supremely disinterested and only gave an explanation after being asked. Apparently a malfunction was the reason, as it happened again 10 minutes after and in some rooms they were apparently unable to shut it off only after an hour. No apologies whatsoever were offered, only a half-hearted offer to move us to another room, which makes absolutely zero difference if the alarm goes off in the entire hotel. Note that we were traveling with a 2-year-old as well, who we had to take out of bed and rush out with several times. Again, zero apologies offered for the inconvenience. Alarm went off twice more the next day, apparently due to a test which was not announced beforehand. General lack of service: no responses to several messages we sent through Booking.com app before arriving to ask for a baby bed. Luckily they did have one, but had to take it up to the room myself, and saw several other people walking around with hotel luggage carts, which would suggest severe staffing shortage. Food options in the restaurant were either not available or not prepared as advertised (vegetarian burger was not available, grain bowl was not prepared as listed on the menu), though I suspect this is more due to issues with supplies than with staff. Bathroom had black mold on the ceiling, housekeeping seemed very understaffed, did not always empty trash cans and never removed dirty glasses we took up from the bar on the first night. Water leaking from the ceiling in the restaurant and lobby areas. Poolside was full of discarded cups, trash and clothing when I wanted to take my daughter for a swim one morning. Dry-cleaning service is not available on the premises (I realize it is not explicitly stated that it is) but outsourced to a local dry-cleaners, which would take 3-4 days when we asked for it. To their credit, they did provide an alternative after we insisted that that was too long. All in all most of the staff seemed either utterly disinterested in their jobs or in dire need of hospitality training.

Everyone in the hotel was nice but it would’ve been nice if they would’ve told the guests that the pool will not be open to them being that it’s rented out for swimming lessons. One of the main reasons why I stayed there so that the kids can get in the pool Went to the front to ask about it and they couldn’t help me. I’m just a little disappointed.

Stayed here while working at a nearby facility, so we were happy with the location. The room was clean, but I was disappointed at the misleading advertising on the hotel website claiming they have a "restaurant" in the hotel. They set up a few tables in the lobby, this is not a restaurant. The hotel has a kitchen, but instead of providing breakfast to their guests, they charge you for it. Don't even provide free coffee. We paid $50 more by booking directly with the hotel, who told us breakfast was included. We were charged more and given less than any other hotel we have stayed at in the area and we work here frequently. None of the staff had any interest in helping. Very disappointing. One would expect more from a Marriott.

Had a great time at the marriott cranbury. Kenroy at Front Desk was exceptionally hospitable and joyful which made every interaction fun and uplifting. Kenroy epitomizes how the service industry should treat their guests. Thanks for your positevly infectious personality and attention to guests.

Convenient location right off of exit 8A on I95/NJ Turnpike. Adequate free parking lot. Clean rooms. Good water pressure. Comfortabl beds. Efficient temperature control units. Tons of outlets throughout room, including some USB outlets. Microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board all very convenient. Typical TV channels but they also had HBO, free of charge. Free internet was good enough for business (emailing). Friendly and helpful staff. Bar/food options in lobby bar/restruant/cafe. More grab-and-go options in their "market"...all al la carte. Hallway decor/carpet a bit dated...but fine.

My favorite courtyard. Clean rooms, attentive staff, plenty of safe parking, nice bar in lobby with big screen tvs, plenty of comfy seating, fireplace, fresh cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner

Nice rooms, clean. Comfortable bed, big shower, rather enjoyable. Didn't have a Continental breakfast. So a local breakfast place got the business instead of the over priced Starbucks market.

Made reservation online May 6. Tried to add a night on May 10. Was directed to the property to make the change. Called the property and spoke with front desk about changes. Was told, on May 10, that the changes were made and we were good. Got confirmation e-mail 4 days before trip and I see the dates are wrong. Call the property and speak with a manager whoo explains to me that the employee who made my changes never actually did anything and now they are booked solid and can do nothing. I asked if there was another property near that we could move to. I was told that this is a franchise and not linked to other Marriots. ??? Call Marriot corporate and they too were helpless. I then spent over 1k to change flights. The Worst Customer Service

My fiance and I checked into this hotel on Sunday at 4am. We were told by the employee at the front desk that we wouldn't have to check out until Monday and charged the rate for one night. Sunday afternoon the front desk calls us and tells us that we have to check out or pay and early check in fee. That was not what we were told when we checked in. They told us that the employee at the front desk made a mistake. But we should not be expected to pay for their mistake. In addition to that the shower did not turn on. It doesn't work. And the sink had slow drainage. I stay at Marriot Hotels all the time and I've never been treated this way. It's not ok.

It worked in a pinch. The room was clean, but the shower didn't work. We used it as a pitstop on our way home from a road trip and it was fine for that purpose, although rather pricey for a quick overnight when you consider the shower didn't even work

Because you stole my money for 5 business days! Now, how's that? I booked my room using my points. When I arrived, I was charged 4 times on my card for a complete total of $160.00. I can understand the $60.00 "INCIDENTAL FEE". BUT the lady charged my card 3 times for $40 each time. Then another time for $20. She didn't explain to me that I would not be charged. How. However, my bank statement says the money was taken and put on hold for pending incidental fees. No matter what people, Nobody there at the hotel, nor on the customer service Hotline for Marriott, could explain to me exactly Why I was charged a $160 rather than $60? They all just exclaimed to me that: "I wasn't actually charged and within five business days that my money will be accessible to me on my banking account." To me this does not seem right at all! Why is it fair that they get to hold on to $160 on my bank account (which is my own money) for 5 business days before i'm allowed to use it again? If I would've been told to pay a security deposit that would be fine. Even the CSR for Marriott admitted $60 was the price of the "INCIDENTAL FEE." But just because the lady at the front desk obviously made a mistake and overcharged me, I have to wait now For damn near nearly a week before i'm allowed to access my own hard earned money. I stay in hotels all over the united states every night of the week. I never have had problems accessing the point system or using my points to pay for a room at any other hotel. Nor have I been overcharged and not immediately refunded for it. Just saying. If it happens to, you just know there's nothing they're gon to do about it until a week from now. So be expecting to have your money taken from you for a week.

Excellent room. Convenient location near great adventure. Breakfast is a disaster. I highly recommend Going Out to eat in the morning. They clearly need more staff for the amount of people staying there.

Hotel was easy to find a short distance off NJTnpk. Kimberly was pleasant, welcoming and friendly. Double queen room very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great pressure in shower (on 4th floor, top of hotel). Area very nice and safe. Hotel seemed quite full. Not quite sure of the draw for Cranbury, NJ, but a very nice stay. We were visiting for a family event! Enjoyed a local restaurant.

I love Courtyard/Marriott hotels in general and this one was no exception - clean, modern yet warm and well laid out room, not too chic, comfortable bedding. Wish I were staying more than 1 night. Taking 1 star off only because of my room checkout experience - wish the staff, who was warm and polite, would've verbally confirmed the details of my charges and credit card between asking for my room number and telling me that I'm good to go. I guess maybe some guests may not want to be bothered by those details.

Hotel needs updating and a massive deep cleaning. Rugs especially, they were sooo stained whether you were in the hallway or your room.. Service at front desk and at the bistro was great and everyone was super friendly and helpful.

I had an excellent experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Cranbury South Brunswick. The staff was incredibly friendly and pleasant, leaving a lasting impression. It was my first visit to America and specifically to this hotel. I want to highlight Beverly Jefferson, an exceptional individual who treated us Lithuanians like family. She provided care, gave us valuable recommendations on places to visit and things to do, making our stay memorable. The kitchen was fantastic as well – I enjoyed every dish, especially the delicious "meatballs." The hotel truly has skilled professionals.

This is to give a shoutout to Kenroi and Kerry. After I left I realized I forgot my phone charger. I found out that Kerry had located it and dropped it at the front desk for me and Kenroi put it in a bag so I could grab it on the way back north. Kerry helped locate it at the front desk for me. Great customer service from these gentlemen!

Been to many-a-Courtyards… checked in 5/19 evening… excellent staff at this location. Front desk staff warm, friendly, knowledgeable and Klever (server at the Bistro) goes the extra mile.

I visited family nearby so I was only there to sleep. It was friendly, quiet and clean. No complaints.

Found out abruptly at 12am that their fire alarm system goes off randomly. I’m here I. New Jersey at a training center and now because of this hotel I get to train half asleep today. I think next time I’ll book my own hotel room elsewhere and tell my company to save their money. When brought to the service desk’s attention it was oh well things happen sir.

We had a really great experience here three years ago. This time, we had to switch rooms because it smelled like cigarette smoke and feet and whatever cleaning product they were using to try and cover up the smell. The second room they put us in smelled a little bit less, but more of like a cologne smell (versus cleaning product?) to cover up a musty feet smell. Most importantly, the sheets were clean. Everyone (EXCEPT the front desk staff) was really nice and kind, which is the only other reason I’m giving 3 stars. Pretty expensive for what you’re getting (and I live in NYC). One of the better choices in the area…but that’s not saying much.

If I could just not give a star would be great. I paid for a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa pullout bed. I get to my room and I see 2 double beds and no sofa. So we go down and say we didn't get a queen bed. They said yes you did the lady argued about it. I forgot to say anything about the sofa so I called down and told them that she's like you didn't pay for a sofa bed said yes I did I have 5 people with 2 double not queen beds. I said I did to. She like well that room cost more and we just don't have another one with a sofa. Beds are really high up hard and the pillow is completely flat. I'm awake right now at 12:11 because I can't sleep. Also having 3 people on a double bed is ridiculous. For how much I paid for this room the quality of everything is very poor. Waist of my money. Won't stay at this kind of hotel again. The front desk workers are very ruid. They didn't care.
