Even
on
a
wet
and
windy
Saturday
in
December
we
still
managed
to
lose
track
of
time
and
spent
3+hours
here;
it's
wonderful!
It
is
a
medium
sized
zoo,
still
lovely
and
focused
on
the
animals
as
not
commercial.
You
will
need
a
good
waterproof
jacket
and
sturdy
shoes,
the
paths
are
not
all
paved
or
flat,
puddles
were
abundant.
There
is
a
variety
of
beautiful
creatures
to
observe
with
good
bitesized
information
plaques
by
each
enclosure.
The
one
way
system
at
the
zoo
and
prior
to
visiting
the
covid
booking
system
online
makes
it
easier
to
plan
and
navigate
your
trip.
The
signs
by
each
enclosure
are
great
for
kids
as
it
explains
social
distancing
based
on
which
animal
you
can
see.
There
are
so
many
animals
here
we
didn't
expect
to
see
and
all
look
very
healthy
well
cared
for
and
have
lots
of
room
to
roam.
The
big
cats
were
quite
active,
the
parrots
are
quite
vocal
and
it's
a
good
day
out
despite
needing
to
picnic
in
the
car.
Coffee
and
tea
looked
like
it
was
available
at
the
cafe
but
we
did
not
purchase
any
from
here.
We
are
now
considering
membership
so
we
can
visit
multiple
times
without
breaking
the
bank.
