Nice place to go for a walk in the forest. Paths are easy enough for wheelchair and push chairs. Nice information on the different trees planted. Some paths can be muddy if it's rained recently. Don't forget to pay for Parking.

Really nice place to spend an hour or a day. The children will love the various activities including well marked walks tracking the carved timber carvings and forest walks. Cafe. toilets and plenty of picnic tables overlook the children's adventure playground and sand pit. Only grip is that when approaching the venue from the south the signage and directions are quite poor. Ensure you put the venue into your sat nav prior to departure. Parking £1.50 for an hour £4.00for the day

Love this place ! It's great for a few hours out with the family and dog . The walks are lovely, it's never too busy in the week which is my preferred time to go.the children's play area is great with tons for them to play on and explore. I just wish the cafe was better! The food and coffee arent great so I tend to nip to a nearby cafe for refreshments before hand! Sort the cafe out and you will soon be 5 star!

Nice place fun, lots of activities for the kids all very reasonably priced. Soft play for smaller kids, nice cafe and easy parking, lots to do outdoors as well; but the weather wasn’t great the day we visited, but still fun.

Lovely place to go alone or with family. Big forest to have those wonderful long walks. Maps are available for short or long walks. Far away from the city's busyness. Lovely staff. Very big spacious playground for kids and an indoor ball playground for as little £2-3 per hour. Highly recommended.

Really good muddy walk! Children enjoyed the woods and seeing lots of different wildlife including birds of prey. Good play area for smaller children. The cafe had lovely fresh food which is well priced. Just be aware that the card machine can sometimes be down, so it's best to bring some cash along. And if you're planning to walk around the outside, it's a good idea to wear wellies, as the paths do get quite muddy.

Fantastic place to visit for the kids, family and even dogs! Annual parking passes can be purchased for £35 (correct at the time of writing). Plenty of parking, and lovely walks around the area, there is a Larage accessible playground, soft play, bird watching spots, events on, birds of prey, gift shop and cafe on the site too. There are some lovely sculptures all around different wooden animals and insects. Check online for the variety of events they do, a lot of Kid friendly things! Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful on site. A fantastic Parkrun on a Saturday at 9am too - the core team are so friendly and supportive! *I believe there are also other running events happening in the near future aswell

Beautiful place. Lovely to get back to nature. Simple, unspoiled. Despite the mud from all the heart rain, we enjoyed a stunning autumnal walk. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love coming here for walks, bringing the kids out, they enjoy playing in the sand pit in the summer and the park is nice a bit different to normal parks. Lovely place to explore. Have been here for a wedding also! The marquee is great for small weddings and events. Brought my child to a pond dipping event here also which she thoroughly enjoyed!

We went on the Bluebell walk, which was fantastic, then treated ourselves to hot chocolate and cake at the Cafe. Perfect!

Just passing through really as part of the National Forest Trail. The trails were - at this time of this year April very muddy and hence hard going. The visitor centre has paid car park and facilities, toilets and small shop and coffee shop. The forested area is of course gorgeous.

Definitely for younger children than teenagers. Nice to walk around.

Wide open spaces to go and let the kids run around. Only thing that we didn't like qas that so many people were wanting to bring their dogs in the cafe while they had a drink or light snack but could only sit outside. Would have been nice to have an option of maybe another room even for anyone with pets. Other than that was a great day out.

I was a bit sceptical about taking my doggies to this place as it looks like a family orientated park however I was pleasantly surprised. After you've parked (pay and display car park) you will notice at the entrance a big child play area. It's all made out of wood and looks very well looked after. Take the pathways to the other side of this and you'll enter woodlands. These are divided by tree types and they are just wonderful. The pathways are maintained and are suitable for people of all abilities. In the middle of the park there's a stream which was not that deep when we visited but I can see it getting deeper if there's a rainy period. One thing that put me off a bit is that there's a sewage treatment plant in the middle and on the day we visited it smelled a bit. But as you walked further away from it the smell disappeared. Along the pathways there are some bird watching platforms for all of you bird lovers 🥰
