Found this place in South Elgin. The food was good. Fries were a bit soggy, bit it didn’t affect the taste. I had a burger/gyro combo and it was okay. The prices were a bit high. The restaurant itself is a bit dated and could use an overhaul. However, it is clean. What most impressed me was the customer service. It was above and beyond…. But I was disappointed at the automatic tip suggestion. I don’t feel I should be told to tip. All in all , the place was decent and it did good.

Their food is good but I witnessed their owner berate the employees in front of customers. “Were they speaking a different language” and “Get your head out of your a$$” isn’t any way to treat people. South Elgin. Noon on 10/7

The sloppy joe was really sweet. It was like a dessert. I barely enjoy it really awful but I was really hungry and eat it. Felt ashamed afterwards

Hands down one of the best Italian beef sandwiches I've ever had. I'm not a fan of their gardinera but the beef is juicy and flavorful enough without it. Fries were also good. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

My husband got carryout. I ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon, lettuce and mayo. Both the chicken and the bun were so burned that upon opening the sandwich, the smell of burnt food was overwhelming. The cook and the person who wrapped it up should both be fired. Never again! My husband returned the sandwich and was given credit for the full meal. That is good customer service.

This is where the locals go to get away from the tourists at Portillos. The beef sandwich 's are award winning, cheese fries and the Homemade Green Pepper Soup from Scratch is super Yummy!

Great food, fast service. I like the hot dogs old school. Meaning the fries are wrapped with the hot dogs so that the salt gets onto the dog to adds the flavor.

My gyro was hard and did not taste great. My moms Italian beef sandwich was so hot it had her coughing. I did not complain about mine but mama was talking to the manager when she started coughing so it was inevitable. The manager explained it had already been sent up the chain and got mama another sandwich which turned out not as hot. The service was top of the line. The manager also was helping with a catering order and was very helpful.

Burgers were raw fries were bland tasteless found hair in the burger you’re better off going to the McDonald’s across the street if you’re paying 35 for 2 meals good customer service tho

Don't bother putting in a online order for pick up, I did & waited 20 mins before just to have them start cooking my order when I got there (25 mins later). The place was dead too.

One of the best places for fast food. The employees are extremely nice and the food is always amazing! I recommend the Tuesday special of boasted chicken! Hands down amazing!

Ordered twice from here because my girlfriend lives around the block and loves the chicken Cesar salad also the burgers were great too. A young lady both times took my order over the phone no problem and the guy who made it was definitely a good cook. But recently tried to order and an older lady answered the phone and said to make my order online. If you have time to answer you have time to take an order. I can see the parking lot you weren't that busy.

Best place in town and the girl with the red bow in her hair is amazing! Great service and always a smile! Wish I could give her 10 stars!

It was late beef seemed like it was sitting for a while, usually its great. And staff is always hustling and friendly

Italian beef was totally dry. Asked for both hot and mild peppers, only got hot. I hope management reads the reviews and follows through. Lots of competitors nearby

1st time going I got the fish sandwich and I wasn't to fond of it, today I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was much better the chicken was juicy

Food was never horrible but definitely sub par. Place is run down, outdated and feels grimey. Slow service. Quality of food isn’t very good and it’s overpriced. Owner should cut their losses and move on.

The food was hot and fast and good. It was very expensive i thought as I had the combo and my wife had a grilled baconand American cheese sandwich or grilled ham and chees with bacon, hold the ham. we also had 2 small drinks with medium fries for $28 plus tax. You decide if it's too expensive, but it's too much for me.
