    The manager there named Robert has no customer service skills, I went to exchange and buy extra items and the 1st thing he told me was that they didn’t sell the item, which I proved him wrong, he also told me that my item was not on the receipt which I proved him wrong as well, maybe he was having a bad day, but that has nothing to do with me. How do I prove you wrong with the 2 things that you’re “telling me” I’m wrong about, he didn’t even look to see if the item was sold in the store or look at the receipt to see if the item was on there, just all around wrong. He definitely does not need to be a manager with that type of negligence.

    Awful service went there to get my dog groomed and told them about a little hot spot problem and they told me that they couldn’t groom the dog because of the redness on her spot which would have been understandable if they didn’t give me attitude about it and they ended up recommending other place other that PetCo which is weird in itself and I asked them to show me there policy on which they were talking about they went and got a manager and when the manager Irene came she just held a packet on where she highlighted a section but didn’t even show it to me and just explained to me I asked a simple question on which I wanted to read it myself so I can understand it more which she refused wouldn’t recommend coming here

    Constantly a battle every time I come in here. They are rarely stocked, there are never workers around if you actually need help, and today was the last straw: My rescue lizard FINALLY decided to start eating so I ran out to the nearest Petco to get backup crickets, and I found empty containers... no, desicated, half cannibalized cricket corpses. From a MONTH AGO. They are too lazy to bother changing out the grab and go crickets. They can't even have a staff member in the area to staff the live crickets, so I had to get a grab and go and my choices were dead crickets from a month ago?! I started pulling them from the shelf myself to take up to the front, but it was clear the manager was too busy to care about this gross negligence. So I left. I needed to get food for my lizard, anyway. P.S. Chameons need higher humidity than you're giving them. They're not a desert climate animal, Azalea Petco. Disgusting animal abuse. DEPLORABLE LOCATION. AVOID.

    The worst pet shop I've ever seen. They don't know how to take care of fish. Many dead fish, dirty water.

    I have a very tame Chihuahua she's a very good while I was at the checkout I put her on the ground and got my wallet out so I could pay for the sweater I was buying her and was told by the cashier that I had to carry her or put her on a leash I said okay just let me pay and we're leaving and then another employee came and said the same thing twice while I was trying to pay so I said forget it I'll go get her and I'm leaving she stayed right by my feet the whole time I don't see the problem I understand rules and all that but really being rude to the customer I won't go there again

    Jason was super helpful in aquatics !! I really appreciate the help he was very knowledgeable about aquatics and we will definitely come back just for his service specifically, also really appreciate how friendly Jason was and the other girl at the register will be coming back because of them!

    I went through all my receipts from getting Morgan a bath and haircut at every petco she went to. I was never charged all these fees they charged me today. She will not be back to this petco. I am very disappointed. Also they went low on 1 side of her face like they made a mistake. I do not bring her out to be mistreated.

    Not sure if her name was Karen or she was on Karen’s register but she was extremely rude. A line started to form and she was just standing behind the register drinking her drink and on her phone. When she finally started taking people I walked up and let her know they had expired bags of food on the shelf and she completely ignored me. She didn’t speak one word to me the entire transaction not hi or have a good day or anything. Her entire demeanor was unfriendly. I’m not sure how someone like her works in customer service. She was working around 5pm on 8 June.

    Went to take my dog to get my dog groomed, said it would take 3 hours and my dog came back exactly the same and groomer was extremely rude.

    I am pleased with my experience at Petco! The staff's friendliness and willingness to help made my visit enjoyable. What impressed me the most was how quickly they processed my purchase. Petco's commitment to customer satisfaction and speedy service deserves a solid five-star rating!

    I will never bring my dog here for grooming service ever again! I have been taking my dog to PetSmart for years and have had no issues. I needed a certain time slot and this place had availability but how I wish I had never brought him in. When I picked up my small dog he didn’t seem okay then later that day he was in pain and not able to move at all. I had to take him to the vet and they gave him an anti inflammatory shot for the pain and in a few hours he was better. I don’t know what the groomers did or how they treated him but he obviously sustained an injury. This location is just not it. The staff is unprofessional as well.

    I had a great experience. Came in for flea medication, shampoo and name tag. Everything was great. I asked for help and had great customer service. No problem at all. Everything was fast and easy.

    made appt, for pet grooming at southgate petco, groomer tried to add 5 $7 extra fees, which would be an extra 2hr & 15min,when questioned about it, no real explanation could be given, spoke with manager he explained he could not change the extra added fees, if i wanted to get dog groomed i would have to sign for the extra 5 $7.00 fees, so i signed for it , then when it came time to groom dog, I was told i had to reschedule. horrible service

    Rude staff, they dismissed me after wanting a refund for an aggressive fish and said they won’t refund me for a live animal because i didn’t have my paper receipt, and told me to either keep the fish or they would keep him without issuing a refund. I called customer service and they told me that isn’t the case at all. They didn’t care about the wellness of the fish and treated it as a product and not a living being. If you want to buy fish I would suggest a better place since they obviously don’t take the necessary steps to make sure they sell healthy fish. Sucks that this is the Petco that is closest to me👎

    Good size store with parking available. A lot of things were on the floor that looked like they belong on shelves so a bit messy.

    I was shopping here today and these 2 girls named Yessenia and Mindy were laughing because a fish had supposedly died on the count that Yessenia dropped the fish and they were LAUGHING ABOUT IT! If these are the types of people that you have working here I will NEVER bring my dog here. Lord knows how they mistreat animals here. Yes it's a fish but it's a pet for someone else have some respect. These people should be fired.

    I never take time out of my day to write reviews but this location is horrible. Completely unorganized, open products, None of the prices/products are in the correct spot. sweet staff but need better management obviously.

    Of the several I've visited this one of the best experiences I've had, it's still a little chaotic but staff is friendly and trying to be attentive in the confusion. I'd go back here. Hard to taste properly on such limited exposure to the location.

    Takes them HOURS to get 1 bag of food for an online order. Hadn’t received email, go into the store myself to find it empty and employees lounging around not fulfilling online orders. Joke of a store, no customer service at all. Would rate ZERO stars if I could.

    They never answer the phone I ha e been waiting for over 10 minutes to confirm my puppy training class. I showed up last week and they canceled it I never received a call. I drove all the way to to downey from San Pedro for nothing

    My dog was too anxious & timid, shes been that way since we got her. So she couldn’t get cut, “a danger to herself and the staff”. Now she looks like a poodle , and she’s not. Whyyy can’t I ever just get a bath and a cut ?? FYI. She has done just fine with other stylist, but today I guess she felt the energy.
