Okay so this review is based over two separate trips. On our first visit the staff appeared to be emotionally dead on the inside. We ordered and food came out at a reasonable pace. Not too fast not too slow. Food was to a reasonable standard. I did however get a completely different main to what I ordered and the sides arrived after we had finished our meal. I would say over priced for what it is. In our second trip the restaurant was half empty yet we couldn’t be seated we had to use the bar area. That would have been fine had clean tables and clean menus be available. We ordered at the bar after being left waited for what felt like an age. We was waiting so long a queue had formed that filled the bar. Starters arrive before our drinks… well that’s different but okay. And the starters were frozen in the middle. If ever your going to prove to your customers your just reheating food this is it. Whilst the crispy pork was very nice and tender it was however the furthest thing from crispy. My advice for anyone contemplating this restaurant would be find something better. For the first rice your paying it’s not worth the money your spending

Hello, We came to you on Dec.28th a party of 12 for lunch which was pre booked. I was so disappointed with the whole dining experience Whilst the staff were friendly we had to send back drinks as they were flat, and also ask for the camembert to be cooked for longer as it was still solid and even when returned to the table it still wasn't melted. It appeared that the garlic bread had run out as there were lumps of breaded chicken on the side of the plate instead! The soup was not what was ordered and the presentation of my son's food was appalling. We had to wait a long time between courses....maybe 45/50 minutes between each one. Whilst I accept that it was a post Christmas family "do" I was told on the 'phone pre booking that the food would be served promptly as there was another large party. Of course it's a busy time in catering however, it would have been acceptable if I had received a phone call warning of delays from the dining room. So disappointing as it was a rare family meet up as my son lives in New York. This is such a pity as The Dartbridge Inn is a lovely venue being beside the River Dart. If this lunch had been good I would have given rave reviews...

My husband and I have just had an amazing lunch at the Dartbridge Inn.. My husband had the Sea bass risotto, everything was moist. The scallops and sea bass were cooked to perfection. I had the Asian pork belly, it was one of the best dishes I have had out in a long time. We were served by Beth andTayor, they were very friendly and most attentive. Matt the chef was excellent, his food was first class. We will certainly be back.

We came to this beautiful Gem of a Pub through a recommendation. Well we were not disappointed. Service and food 10/10. Special thanks to Kirsty the Duty Manager for looking after us. We will definitely be back next time we are down your way.

Wonderful experience to stay at the Dart bridge Inn. The staff were excellent and the food lovely. Although the room could do with an upgrade it didn't stop our enjoyment of the venue. I have stopped at many hotels over the years but I can honestly say that the staff were exceptional in their service. More than five stars for me!! Thank you for making our visit memorable

My family came for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the ambience was very lovely and our server Beth was very friendly and professional. I 100% recommend for an evening meal.

stopped here on the spur of the moment, we were well impressed with the welcome and service by Beth, our meal was cooked to perfection, with excellent flavours, Matt & Jackson (the chefs) are a credit for producing such good quality food. We shall definitely be visiting again. Well done Dartbridge for your choice of employees, keep up the good work. 👏

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service and food were excellent with lots of menu options and reasonably priced. The hotel was let down slightly with the decor which was in need of re-painting. The location was close to Buckfast Town but unfortunately the short distance was not safe to walk as there was no footpath and busy junctions to cross.

This was our third stay and we can’t praise the staff enough, Ryan, Kirsty and the rest of the team are fantastic! Friendly, welcoming and extra hard working! The rooms are lot, clean and well kept, comfy beds and pillows and a great shower! The food as always was delicious and a good choice at breakfast time! The Dartbridge is well situated for visiting Devon’s pretty towns and boy and the moors! We will be back!!

Staff were great. Food average and rooms right on road so very loud. However room was really nice. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t like the sound of cars.

We spent a lovely lunch here today. Decided to take our 7 year old grandson with us. He was treated like an adult which he thought was amazing. The meal was superb and our grandson all but licked his plate. He had an adult portion of hunters chicken which he thought was amazing. The staff were so friendly and even help him to find the elves, whit he thought was great fun Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Absolutely fabulous stay at the Dartbridge Inn! Can’t fault it! The staff couldn’t be any more welcoming, friendly or helpful - nothing is too much trouble! They work incredibly long hours but always have the time to help with a smile & polite comment.

Went for lunch today, lovely food but let down by having to wait at the bar to order deserts and no staff to be seen for a good 10 mins. When a male staff member came out he then went to seat people that had only just walked in rather than seeing to us that were waiting to order. When we managed to order no apologies for leaving us waiting. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for this.
