Amazing dinner! Nestled in a converted school, 313 Franklin has a great, fun, welcoming atmosphere. Staff is extremely professional and personable. For dinner, we had sea scallops with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Also had the herb baked chicken, with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Sweet tea has the perfect brew.. not too sweet so you can still taste the tea! A must-visit if you are in or passing through South Hill/LKG area! Will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

We were visiting South Hill and asked at our hotel where we should go for good food and this place was highly recommended. As it turns out this restaurant is on the bottom floor of a converted elementary school. They are located in the old cafeteria. Looking at the pictures you can tell that they did not take away most of the original structure. They have it decorated with school type items, not sure if they were from the original school. The rest of the building is apartments. The food was delicious and our waitress, Roberta, was so polite and helpful. I am a really pick eater and they made it so I got my meal exactly the way I wanted it. The strawberry Cosmo drink was soooo good. Most places the cosmos taste like pure alcohol, but this was great! There was another woman there, I didn't get her name, who kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. She was very nice and we had some great conversation with her. Great food and great atmosphere, highly recommend!!!

Such a cool place! We came for brunch and it was pretty good! Loved that it’s built in an old school. We had a large party and our wait wasn’t too long. I’d visit again if I was in the area.

Great food and service. Beautiful atmosphere and super unique in an old school building. We stopped on our way through the town for brunch. Only negative was the poached egg was over cooked but still tasty. The cinnamon roll was divine. Wish it was near where we lived.

This is a very unique place. Concept is great and the food was even better! Everything from our salads with homemade dressings to our perfectly cooked steaks to dessert was top notch. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. Would definitely recommend going here vs the "Big Box" restaurants!

Heading north to DC, made a quick Google search to find a spot for lunch and very luckily came upon 313 Franklin. WOW! We were able to find street parking directly in front of the complex. As we walked up, we were immediately intrigued with the building. Improvements were clear - it looked great! But it also looked like one of those old schools found in quaint little southern towns. No big surprise to discover that is exactly what it was. This place is worth the time to take a look at the architectural update alone. The school is long gone but elements have been preserved in the condos, event venue and restaurant. I wish I could recall our waitresses name because she was FANTASTIC (tall, over 40, short hair... and just enough sass to be REALLY fun). We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was served with a spicy sauce and sliced peppers. We don't ever want to have calamari any other way! Our group ordered a club sandwich, a French dip, a salad, and a cheeseburger. We were all thoroughly pleased. The club was a monster... so big! As we left, the hostess took a few minutes to talk to us about the improvements made to the property, satisfying our curiosities. If we pass by that way again, we'd be delighted to stop. Great place!

Excellent atmosphere and a beautiful restaurant and bar, but the quality of the food doesn't match the setting or prices. The lunch menu is great with some well priced handhelds that are pretty tasty, and the drinks are usually creative and well done, but of the 10+ times we've eaten there we've never left truly satisfied with a meal. Really inconsistent food quality, not sure what the hype is. Had better luck other places in town in the last year or two. That being said, we do enjoy appetizers and lunch because the prices are good for what you get. We don't mind paying up for good food, but seems like paying up for a gamble on a meal here. Would definitely choose this place way more often if the food was great!!

Absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The food is fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. Amazing wait staff, super friendly. The decor is new and modern and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend!

I’ve dined here twice while passing through town. Libby is an awesome and very friendly waitress. Her recommendations are always on point. Also the smoked maple old fashion is fantastic! Always a pleasure when I go there.

Four of us went for dinner and enjoyed it very much! 2 had crab cakes, one had the pork special, and the other prime rib. None were disappointed! And my friend who had the sweet potato casserole a side said it was so good that she could've just had that for dinner! And our server, Molly took great care of us.

Found this gem by chance and so happy because I travel the 85/58 route all the time and now have an excuse to stop and enjoy an amazing meal. The fried green tomatoes were on point, and it is hard to find these done well. Their burger was perfection. The "Hot for Teacher" did more than justice to Nashville chicken. Potato salad was yummy. The black and blue salad was delicious with the best balsamic caramelized onions. The only error was ordering no bacon on the salad and it coming with bacon. Quickly resolved. Service was excellent and attentive without being pushy. Manager checked on us but did so efficiently and I appreciate that. This is in an old school that had been completely redone. It has been redone well. Great vibe. 10/10 will be back.

5 of us had dinner for my great aunt's birthday. We were seated immediately on that Wednesday evening, with no waiting. The food was awesome. I had the catfish which, I have to say was probably the best I've ever had. And I love me some catfish. Several of us also had mixed drinks which were delicious. Our waitress was fabulous also. It was just an awesome experience. We will definitely be back!!

First the food... excellent! Service......they treat as if you are family (in an excellent way!) They see to your comfort there and are very engaging. You leave feeling with wanting to come back again and again. Atmosphere..... synonymous with service! Please experience this culinary journey. You'll be glad you did!

Love their dinner menu and foods. We did the steak, which was great! Going back for scallops and then again for bloody Mary shrimp. Strawberry cosmo, oh so good. All staff is amazing. Thank you Kevan for a fun evening.

Best restaurant for miles around! Lovely decor. Great service. Wonderful food. I had the Fried Green Tomato and Pimento Cheese BLT (minus the bacon, 'cos I'm vegetarian) and homemade kettle chips. Absolutely delicious. My friend had a Caesear Salad that was so fresh I could practically feel the crunch from across the table--beautiful Parmesan shaved on top.

We had a very good experience here, so good we came back for dinner the next night. The first night I had steak and the next night I had the New Orleans pasta. They had a Blackberry whiskey sour that I felt was made perfectly.

What a great night! We went to celebrate my brother's birthday. The food, atmosphere, live music and service was amazing! Highly recommend. Our server Kavian was excellent!

We had the nicest meeting today in the Teacher's Lounge part of the restaurant. It is was delicious and wonderful fellowship. We had the nicest time being together. It had been a while since my wife and I visited the 313. It had been one of our favorites in the past. After our recent visit we remembered why we like it so much. Great food, service and atmosphere. One of the best in the area - highly recommend!

Highly recommend. Really really good food and a more-than-capable bar staff with featured craft cocktails. Cool decor too, while remaining comfy and unpretentious. Visited twice in a three-day period.
