DO NOT STAY HERE! Roaches, bug infested, ripped towels, moldy bathtub, dirty top sheets, years old pillows that they clumped the filling together and made into a small 13X13 pillow, disgusting dirty floor and carpets around the building, noisy rooms, "free breakfast" bread, cereal, apples. That is what they serve. They use this motto to entice you. You don't feel safe, people outside in their cars all day long. Just simply a disgusting place. We just stayed there 6/8/23. I can't rate them any less than 1 star, they don't even deserve 1 star. Don't waste your money.

Where do I start? I've set up a room from Union Station in downtown Chicago, I get there and had no issues checking in. Though the room would've been $15.00 cheaper paying at the Motel itself verses online trav. Once in the room I thought hey this is nice a smoke free motel and updated room. I had decided to extend my stay daily which did go down outside of Friday and Saturdays rate of $107.36 total to $73.46 Monday-Thursdays which was a plus. However on none of the days did housekeeping clean my room and refresh my lining. I had to ask for a broom and dust pan to do it myself as if you extend your stay you're not allowed housekeeping the next day. Then on my last day I wanted to just pay for the room out of my petty cash due to a major purchase with my credit card the next day. The front desk clerk was adamant about getting $50.00 as a deposit for paying cash! I'm at this point floored because in one week I never once complained about cleaning my room or changing my bed lining. So to say I must pay by 11:00am extra $50.00 was just ridiculous so I called corporate to be told "Well the hotel is owned by franchise owner and up to hotel with to them which policies they have in place. Then I replied "well the hotels just does whatever it wants too." The representative gave every excuse in the book not to try understand my view, and further sent me right back to front desk to get no where with the clerk yet again and no manager to escalate my concerns and issues. I went on paid by credit without extra $50.00 deposit. Get back to my room why I see a big freaky roach on the counter go under sink. Terrible customer service and that ruined my stay there. Save money and just stay in a 4start or hotel for better service and bug free rooms. Unbelievable.

A little rough on the outside, but the room itself was amazing, hardwood floors and very clean, nice A/C and hot water, bed was big and comfortable, no bugs anywhere. The front desk clerk went out of his way to help us with something unrelated to our stay. i would stay here again anytime.

The rooms are just an average, and the only low rate for this branch, is the terrible manager (who was calling on her phone and never checked the food in the room), and the breakfast (if they think this is called breakfast, SEE PICTURE). This is a scam, you better bring your food, or book somewhere that has a real food. We only found cereal, milk, half bottle of orange juice and one apple πŸ˜‚. This was by 7.30,so 1hr after breakfast starts. I asked the manager that there is no food, to eat, what she did, she refilled the cereal, new milk bottle, got more apples, and a bag of toast. That's all. Nothing else. Apart from that, the hallway is so dirty with dark stains (see pic) and smelly (obviously very poor cleaning service), and when checking out, the manager is as pale as a statute, not a single nice word or a smile.

    1. 3 days before our stay, when I made the reservation, I was assured there would be a light breakfast. At check-in a crudely printed sign said NO BREAKFAST. 2. I killed 2 roaches in the room. 3. The elevators did not work. 70 year old seniors had to lug suitcases but a long flight of stairs. No offer to help. Didn't even seem to care that the elevators were broken. 4. Only 1 thing of coffee in the room. We each had 1/2 a cup. 5. Coffee pot at check-out was empty. They volunteered to make more, but we wanted out of there. 6. I am very sorry we decided to stay there. The location was convenient for our trip, but it was a poor place.

This room was pretty clean and was satisfied by that. They say they offer breakfast but there was hardly anything there. Hopefully, you're fine with only having waffles. That's all we saw when went a little after 8 AM.

I honestly don't know why this place doesn't get five stars overall, because this hotel has been extra accommodative, kind and patient towards me and the other guests I have witnessed! The hotel is what it is, so if you are looking for a decent place at a great value, please don't look any further, this is the place! I will definitely be staying here again in the future! Special shout out to Haneen! Thank you for everything! It will all worked out (you know what I am talking about)! May the mighty Allah Bless you and the rest of the staff there richly!

I stayed in rm 235. The door is hard to open the phone in the room didn't work and the front desk clerk seemed clueless and little rude I wasn't told the wifi password tried calling 3 times and was hung up on. The fourth time calling I finally got through and was able to get the password which I should of gotten it the time I checked in. If you want to use cash they charge an extra $50.00 for deposit and you won't get it back. The biggest downfall is they don't have an elevator so I'm happy I was alone and didn't have my kids. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless it's last minute. Oh they're still not serving breakfast smh!!! The room wasn't worth the price

The room was a law suit waiting to happen. Wood floor boards lift off causing me to trip. Toilet seat shifts REALLY BAD you fall off the toilet. Ceiling pieces coming down and bathroom mold. Curb appeal is decent. This place has potential for a 2 star motel. I don't blame this place I blame Wyndham for once again allowing their name to mislead consumers.

Changing my review now that I've stayed here for a week. Room was clean upon arrival, just some dust on the headboards. Housekeeping cleaned one time the entire week I stayed, she did a good job but they never offered housekeeping again. Staff started getting rude to me throughout the week. Asked for a deal on a extra night which they refused

Was charged 90 bucks for a 5 hour stay checked out because no internet front desk was condescending and unhelpful I was staying 5 days and wanted internet for entertainment in downtime. All that was almost acceptable but no hot water for a shower was the last straw and they still charged me.

It was a horrible experience! The noise was unbearable all night long, making it seem like there were gangs hanging around the hotel. We didn't feel safe at all during our stay. And don't get me started on the breakfast they promised. It was a total scam! When we went in the morning, there was practically nothing there. What a joke!

Gross! Do not stay here. From start to finish the experience was horrible. Staff did not greet us or acknowledge us. The room was the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. It smelled like smoke, the shower was extremely dirty and had old toilet paper and soap wrappers. The sheets were stained. Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Why don't you like your stay at the ghetto, this is the place to be. The floor is in the room itself needed repair and we're actually peeling. Customer service was okay nice guy. Maintenance was nice laundry was nice. But yeah the rooms were absolute gross. I'm going to have to shower tonight just to make sure I didn't get any bed bugs on me. Would not ever recommend this hotel.

Sticky floors.. hair in tubs and sinks ..toilet seat stains.. old tubs ..old mattresses.. cereal, orange juice, apple juice, bread and milk were your choices for breakfast.. the staff was pleasant..very nice. People walking in off the streets to eat what little breakfast was offered. If you're just passing thru..and need a place to rest. It's ok.

I really appreciate the front desk host Hannah. Hannah is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was very attentive to our needs and kept the room clean. The location is very accessible to expressways and restaurants.

Air Conditioner doesn't cool off the room. Went to the Front Desk to let them know. She said " Let me see what I can do". She did nothing and I had an extremely hard time sleeping. And over 1/2 of the hotel is empty. There's no reason why they couldn't move me to another room.

Let's go more in depth. When I'm looking for a room I mainly look for 3 main things. 1. If there are any bugs. 2. Friendly staff. 3. Cleanliness So I will rate these 3. 1. No bugs what so ever so 5 stars. 2. Excellent staff..friendly and engaged in conversation so 5 stars. 3. The beds were clean and it smelled amazing. But there was a thin film of dust on TV, and on the top of the walls in the bathroom, as well as the ice bucket and bag, the fridge was not bad but a few dirty spots. So overall 4 stars. Now the maintenance of the rooms definitely need to be addressed but that is corporates fault not employees. Things that need to be looked at are: 1. Flooring needs redone some spots are a tripping hazard and could cause a lawsuit. 2. Rust in bathtub and tiles surrounding bathtub. 3. Microwave missing a handle but still opens. 4. Patches on walls and peeling ceiling. Overall a fantastic place to lay your head for the low price you pay. Shout out to the lady working night shift and the one working day shift both very excellent employees!

This location turned out to be "Privately Owned". Upon check-in we could barely understand the staff. Our room was 60 degrees. There was a false eyelash set on the floor, a water bottle cap between the nightstand & the bed, there was NO desk chair & it had an unidentifiable stain on the desk & ceiling. The remote didn't work until my husband fixed it. One of the bed sheets had something crusty on it, when I requested a new one the desk staff guy tried explaining it away as laundry soap (NOT...it was more like a crusty booger!) The room needs to be updated. No continental breakfast or pool.

They have roaches and a lot of them. They have the ac low so that roaches won't come out as much 😩 tried to get a refund they go around saying there are no managers πŸ˜’ and that way they get around giving you a refund. There dirty, no customer service skills, just nasty. Food in the hall ways, moldy smell, they don't clean there sheets. Pick anywhere else πŸ˜’ to go because their infected with roaches.

The room was a nightmare. The only reason I stayed was I got back in at 3 and was beyond exhausted. I washed in the sink because the shower gave me the heebiedajeebsdies. The room had obvious signs of water damage. In the morning I found a small roach that of course fled when I turned the light on. Made me grateful I kept my bags zipped up. I had another night, but checked out that morning. The customer service is the only saving point. They were understanding and refunded the second night without question.

The rooms are clean but obviously older and still need renovation. entirely non smoking motel. no elevator if you get a second floor room.. at least during check in they asked if I wanted first or second floor because of this. Housekeeping staff is very friendly and probably the best part of this place. August 2022, therir old signs "Temporarily not serving breakfast" are still up. .. and they're still not. Other reviews up to a year ago show how they limited breakfast and then cut it out a few months back. only 1 coffee pump pot gets put out. The girl who works night desk is very friendly. The guy who works the morning desk, each time someone came to the desk he had his pods in his ears on the phone with someone. ( I personally think if you work a customer service position, you don't treat a customer like an interruption) Yesterday the one pump pot of coffee they put out ran out by 9am. stayed empty until 6 am this morning. The exit/entrance doors around the building all have a rock next to them to prop them open and people were leaving them propped open at all hours.. security here rates 1 star. There is a restaurant next door that does breakfast.. Nearest convenience store is just under half mile away. All of the doors posted "fire door, keep closed" are propped open in the building with a face cloth and have enough webs on them that it looks like they've been that way for a long long time. Pictures from in my room show the mithe microwave door has a broken handle, the condition of the chair, the lamps (The one next to the bed with the weird shade is literally hanging by 2 exposed wires), The outlet by the sink that you would plug the coffee pot into doesn't work so that means the hair dryer is useless ( The outlet doesn't reset either). And in the hallway one additional picture of a taped over and covered smoke detector that I think is a violation of fire code. combined with the propped open fire doors. There isn't active construction going on.
