Have realistic expectations on the money you are spending. For the money, this place is great. Some of these reviews act like they booked a penthouse suite in Vegas. The staff is great and the location is right next to the highway so you can get where you need to easily.

I stayed here about six weeks ago for a few days and the first night was horrible because the people next to me had flipped the latch on the door and we’re going in and out about every 5 to 10 minutes starting at 7am and the front desk didn’t do anything about them doing it because they kept doing it up until 11 am when we mentioned at 8am. Thankfully they switched us to rooms to the other end of the hallway at noon - since we had to wait for a room to be cleaned out. But then here’s the biggest ISSUE: THANK GOD I always latch the door on the top because me and my partner were both in the room and there was no knock or anything and somebody used a key to get into my room and then it the latch stopped them and the person said so and so open the door. So somehow the front desk must’ve just given them a key for our room number without verifying last names or that they were giving them the correct key to their room. We informed the front desk when we checked out what had happened because it was on the last day of our stay and they said that they would look into it and check the cameras to see what happened and reach out and they never did and we never heard anything. Be careful when going here because they obviously do not double check for safety not seem to take this kind of issue seriously.

How does this place have more than one star? Can I give negative stars? Unless you are a local (using this place for your own obvious drug purposes) do NOT book this Inn! We booked without reading these reviews and yikes, MISTAKE. Also, if you for whatever reason are unable to climb stairs make sure you request to be on the first floor if you do date book here (there is no elevator). The front desk area looks great, recently refurbished, I presume, but beyond that the property is disgusting. After schlepping our bags up the stairs and finding our room I was not at all impressed what what we found. The space between the door and the door frame was wide enough I could clearly see out into the hallway with the door closed, yikes. The bathroom sliding door had a giant hole in it. There were sloppily patched holes all over the walls. The toilet flushed only once then gave up the ghost and we were not able to get it to flush again. And there was a sprinkler dangling from the ceiling with a big hole around it. There was a note on the inside of the door noting that even if you didn’t want service or had placed the Do not Disturb sign on the door (I don’t think there was one…) that every room would be inspected daily irregardless. That is probably a nod to the fact that I am sure they have found many overdosed (probably deceased) guests in the past. The drug activity was absolutely apparent and we honestly didn’t feel safe. I guess that the police showed up at about 3am which is the time a bunch of people scattered around and we’re slamming doors all over the place. My travel partner and I were flabbergasted at how awful it was compared to the photos that they shared on their own booking sites. Talk about fake advertising. This place needs to be condemned. We had booked 2 nights but we left first thing the next morning to find a better and safer option, and we didn’t even try to talk to the vacant desk on our way out… I do have to admit that the check-in attendant was very kind and helpful. I think she felt bad for us poor unsuspecting guests as we checked in while being eyed down by the drug sellers or drug buyers that were out in the parking lot.

Stayed at this hotel recently and it was a complete disappointment. The TV in the room had constant lag and didn't work properly. The bathroom was unsanitary with hair in the shower, and to make matters worse, we encountered cockroaches on the floor. The cleanliness of the hotel was subpar, nothing like the polished images they advertised online. The pool and hotel itself looked nothing like the pictures. Additionally, the customer service was far from satisfactory. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. I keep forgetting to check reviews when I purchase! That would have saved me!!

I stayed here when I first moved to Utah years back. I liked that it was close to the freeway, yet I couldn't hear it when I was sleeping! The room was clean, the shower was clean, and the breakfast was what you'd expect. They were able to work with me when I did eventually find a place to live full-time here in Salt Lake, and cancel the rest of my stay with limited fees, which I knew would be the case. All around great service, and helped me get on my feet with a cheaper place to stay while I looked for something permanent! I've since convinced some of my friends to stay here when they were trucking through on their way to Idaho, and they had good things to say about it even four years later.

5 stars because they are the only place around that allows multiple cats. We had to stay for 3 nights until we closed on our house and got moved in. The staff is awesome. Location was a pain to get to unless you know the area. Price was fare. Rooms weren't the best but they served the purpose. There is an indoor pool. They have breakfast everyday in the morning.

As I stepped into this place, a shiver of disgust ran down my spine. The girl at the front desk struggled to communicate in English, leaving me feeling lost and frustrated. To top it off, a basic amenity like a wine opener was nowhere to be found at the front desk, a standard offering in every hotel I've ever visited. The swimming pool and hot tub that I was so looking forward to was atrocious. I looked back to look at the images online to make sure I wasn't crazy and laughed. Photos must have been taken 30 years ago when it was installed, and was never maintained since. You have to walk outside through the elements passing through several doors with no ceilings to get to the "indoor pool" which is essentially inside a green house bought on Facebook Marketplace. It is abundantly clear that this hotel exhibits premature signs of its imminent demise; I wouldn't be surprised if it shuts down within the next two years. To the Owner/Investor (I know who you are): Just don't lie to us man; if your hotel is a 2, don't claim its an 8. It's trash, and the staff reflects it, and you know it. You don't build trust by lying; you're pretty much have stealing from people.

This hotel is disgusting and the smell of it is horrific. The front lobby looks decent but just as you turn the corner it's a whole different atmosphere. I didn't spend 1 minute in room 133 after opening the door and almost threw up because of the smell. I went back to the young lady working the front desk and told her I was going to need a refund for my 5 day reservation. She said only management would be able to process a refund. She took my information and said they would contact me the next day. I haven't heard back from management. I went back to the hotel twice looking to speak with management before leaving town with no luck. I've tried calling and of course nothing. $415 dollars is a lot to pay for something I didn't use. Don't be fooled or taken advantage of by this scumbag of a place. Go across the street to the Hampton Inn hotel. We paid $535 for 5 days and it's clean, smells good and the staff was awesome.

Worst stay ever. Druggies and shady people here. Rooms are so little. No hot water for shower. Looks like they do not clean up after animals. Hair even on sheets. Did you even change them? Breakfast lady is lazy and was rude not to me but an older lady so no respect. The kicker is that awful manager and was cussing at someone so I only stayed one night instead of a week. Any place connected thru the company I reccomend never using because they are the biggest joke. I finished my week stay at Ramada in South Jordan which was beyond better but the best is I saved money and did not have to deal with this atmosphere. Any where is better! Run! Swimming pool or hot tub you may get a disease it's so dirty like the manager.

Wasn't my first choice, but after one night I'd stay again. Best bed I've slept in for a long time. I love the feel of the sheets, the blanket/thin comforter and the bed cover too. Nice roomy shower. Breakfast was good.

This was a huge disappointment! Near the Interstate on a frontage road. There were abandoned cars across from the hotel and homeless persons roaming around. The inside of the hotel was dark and uninviting. The hallway was dark and no elevator. The room was shabby with torn lampshades and just unclean. You could barely move in the shower. The bed was at least 10 years old and was sunken in. I am suprised it is on the list for Choice Hotels. Does anyone ever inspect the hotels? I am hesitant to book with this group again. Don't stay at Sleep Inn!

Disliked · Very sketchy and we didn’t feel safe. The pool and hot tub were so sketchy. Legit people having a party in the entrance and we couldn’t get in because it was locked. Not to mention they had little kids that were not being taken care of while these two guys just sat and partied and these guys had to unlock the door so we could get into the hot tub. While in the hot tub we had a guy spying in is through the window in his room and the windows in the pool and hot tub don’t open. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We had some random person knock on our door at 4am and it scared us. The ac unit was broken and sooo loud we couldn’t sleep. We called down to the desk by pressing 0 in the hotel phone. Because we didn’t feel safe leaving our room in the night. We went to the front desk later that morning we were told the 0 doesn’t actual call anywhere. Never staying here again!! DON’T STAY HERE!!

I liked the staff super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I really liked that the pool was heated and the hot tub was actually hot. However, I wasn't to impressed with the room at all. The shower door was broken, sink had big crack inside it and the lamp shade was cracked! So i liked the pool and that's the only reason why I'd ever go back!

Great hotel for cheap price. Good customer service, I recommend it. I don't know why people are putting so many negative reviews. I had no issues whatsoever.

Before I start my review let me say I'm satisfied with nothing more than a clean bed at a great price. This hotel provided both these things, so already a good hotel in my books. I initially chose this hotel because it was the cheapest hotel I could find and was close to Snowbird ski resort which was the whole reason I came to salt lake city (to ski at Snowbird). Other than having a clean bed and being in close proximity to the ski resorts there were additional things that were a happy surprise. Everything was in working order (TV, shower, wifi, fridge, electric heater/ac) and the hotel also included breakfast (eggs, breakfast sausage, waffles, coffee, bagels, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc), swimming pool/hot tub and decent views. I wanna thank the hotel staff for being kind and respectful and if I come back to salt lake city this will be my first choice for places to stay.

I decided to stay here because the price was good for a short stay. The hotel room was… nothing special. There was so much dust in the vent in the toilet/shower area. The sink was clogged or something because it would barely drain and makeup foundation on the wall too. The sheets were decent but you could see makeup stains on the sheets that were missed or not treated. The room key decided to mess up twice and had to walk back down to the front desk. The window had an open seal as well so water leaked in during the rain storm and cool air leaked in as well. The “indoor” pool is just an outdoor pool in like a greenhouse area. The breakfast was the best part of the hotel.

If I could give negative stars, I would. The management here is extremely shady and will do ANYTHING to make an extra buck. My fiancé and I booked a room here for about 3 weeks and the manager had it out for us since our first day. He kept trying to find reasons to kick us out, but since we kept our room clean and we were quiet and respectful guests, he couldn’t. Eventually after 2 weeks, he DID kick us out for “giving food from the breakfast to people outside.” Except neither of us had done that, and when asked to provide proof, the manager didn’t have any. If you’re looking for somewhere nice to stay with respectful and caring staff, this isn’t the place for you. Any other hotel in the area would be a much better choice.

Nothing worked, not even the room key. I had to switch rooms, which was a super inconvenience as I had bought a lot of food for the week, and even in the new room the a/c didn't work and there was no hair dryer. My bigger complaint was that the front desk staff didn't care. I asked for my room to be made up FIVE times during my six night stay, and it only got made up once. I don't understand why. It's not hard to write down the room number, and have the staff read the room list for the day. I believe they just didn't care and were just ignoring my repeated requests. They would just apologize. It was incredibly frustrating. Why is it hard to clean the room when the guest requests it?!? I would love to get a straight answer to this question rather than the ridiculous, repeated apologies. Apologies mean nothing if you don't fix the problem! I complained to choice hotels about this place, and they gave me 5,000 points to compensate. I'd really prefer that places improve, rather than me having to complain all the time about the horrible service and incompetent staff, but at least I got some compensation for this bad stay. I won't be staying here again.

READ THE REVIEWS ON THIS HOTEL! If I could do less than one star I would. Me and my boyfriend had a horrible experience. We got to the hotel checked in and we left. Didn’t check the room because we felt like we didn’t need to. later that night went back to the hotel and went straight to bed. In the morning went to the bathroom, and found someone else’s faeces clogged in the toilet. We were disgusted. Neither me or my boyfriend had used the toilet previously. It was smelly and revolting and we got out as soon as we saw it. We were to stay for two nights but only stayed one, hopefully we can get refunded for this nasty experience.

Didn’t see bedbugs, but saw holes in the wall, the light in the shower about to fall, and the crappiest bedding and pillows ever. Staff started doing lawn maintenance/something with the hose at 7am directly outside the window to our room. Not a peaceful stay, but certainly a cheap one.

The staff was kind the rooms were clean the beds hug u when u fall asleep and the breakfast was good. Loved this place ❤ would for sure recommend to others. The only down side is far from trax and bus lines. Other wise perfect. And the pool was open and clean. Its a nice place to.stay.

Sleep Inss are typically pretty good and clean. This one was a little lacking. First thing I noticed was a burn in the chair in my room. 2nd was the heater/AC unit was old and busted. 3rd thing was finding out after being in bed that there's a freight railroad that runs behind the property. Loud noise hourly through the night. One love of Sleep Inn and Choice properties is their breakfast in the morning. This places meal room couldn't handle a dozen people in it comfortably

The staff is helpful and friendly. And the breakfast was good. The pool was indoor so it protected us from the high winds. The issue I have is the room. The bathroom door was broken and couldn’t properly close. It also had a hole in the back of it, looking like someone punched it. And we woke up to bugs on the bathroom floor. Not the best experience.

I think someone may have been murdered in my room. There are some dark stains on the carpet, and I'm certain that's blood on the wall. There's also a red misting on the ceiling nearby. I didn't really consider the things immediately surrounding the location until I was here, and it turns out it's wedged between the interstate and some train tracks. My room looks out to a little worn footpath leading to the train tracks, which doesn't seem ideal. Also, if someone in the room next door poops, I immediately know it. The smell is so bad that I actually looked around to see if the dead body is still here (I didn't find it, but you never know). Oh, and the TV in this room effectively only has 1 channel. The remote only does volume, and the cable box has no buttons (thanks 2020s). Hope you like AMC. It's actually a decent channel, but it meant falling asleep to Jack Nicholson murdering people in a hotel in The Shining. The irony was not lost on me. This might be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The lady at the front desk was really nice, though, and they do breakfast in the morning (if you survive).

  • 1/5 Haili C. 11 months ago on Google
The front desk gentleman was nice and helpful. Yes I will agree with the size of the rooms is quite small but for the price you pay not bad. However, it appeared someone unalived themselves previously in the room we were put in. There was dark deep patches of blood on the floor by the sink. The only reason we knew for a fact this was blood was because of the blood that was splattered on the wall next to it. And there was even blood on the ceiling and smudged blood from a quick clean on a completely different wall. If you are ever here and get room 112 don't. Request another room asap.

  • 2/5 Alexis L. 10 months ago on Google
It’s not worth it. Pay extra and stay elsewhere. At checkin the front desk tried to tell me I had to pay for my rooms (they were already pre-paid and I was aware of the incidental hold). The next morning some stranger was able to scan into our room. Then the key cards wouldn’t work, I went to the front desk and they said it had us checked in to one room but as a no-show for the 2nd room I stayed in. They were booked together under 1 reservation (The front desk woman was very kind and attentive to correcting the key cards) The hotel is in desperate need of updating and repairs. One of our rooms the ac was duct taped together. The hand towel bar in each room kept falling off. We found an earring in one of the bathrooms. It was just a miserable stay

I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I need to warn others of this hotel. It was sketchy, disgusting and kind of scary. For starters, when we walked into the hotel room, there was a big hair in the sink and the shower. There's a huge stain on the floor and we found mold around the shower. The outlet covers were loose, there were poorly patches holes in the wall, the fitted sheet didn't cover the bed, the hotel smelled like dog, there was a stain in the pillow case, and a half used toilet paper roll that wasn't even placed in the dispenser. We also went to the pool and it was disgusting. The ceiling was dirty and had a hole that dirtied the pool water. The hot tub wasn't even warm. And we had to ask twice for the pool to open during operating hours. We spent $170 on this trip and it was probably worth $50. Don't stay here; it's worth it to spend a bit more money on a hotel that you feel safe and clean in. Based on our experience, we're not even sure our sheets were cleaned. I don't want to leave a bad review, but this hotel is NOT GOOD.

Not the best hotel we've stayed in. The staff was extremely helpful when we had two full beds when we reserved a queen. They were great and switched us around quickly. The rooms were poorly lit and our first room had an odor to it.

No bathtub in room, homeless out sleeping on the grass, drugs and smoking around kids, cigarettes around the indoor pool. Didn’t feel safe staying and left! Asked for a refund. Only stay 4 hours of a two night stay and still charged full price! This place isn’t worth $50 a night!

This place is AWESOME. I recently unexpectedly lost my home and needed somewhere to stay in the meantime while waiting for my new place to move into. In that time I got to know the staff and they are great. Sandy the manager is awesome! Super professional but also laid back which Is the perfect mix! I've had no issues during my stay. Housekeeping is great! They have breakfast which is nice. For the price your getting an awesome deal! The location is in a nice area which is a plus. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something on the cheaper side.

Honestly had the best experience here. My girlfriend and I had no problems with keeping our dog here. The manager sandip was so nice and very easy to work with. The night staff was very nice to us and answered all our questions. The only problem we had was the key cards but there has always been someone available to help rest the cards for us at all times. Would definitely recommend❤️

Once in my room I discovered how loud it was because of the highway being outside the window. It’s loud enough that it sounds like a window was open. The room was cold, so I turned up the heat, and it is also quite loud, and will probably be waking me up throughout the night. I went to the front desk to ask if I could change rooms and they said they’re fully booked up and can’t switch rooms. I went online to check availability for the hotel and there isn’t an issue with vacancy. I could purchase a different room online no problem. It seems they just don’t want to let me switch rooms.

0 stars This hotel is absolutely horrendous, we had multiple issues with our room which include the smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling, our toilet leaked all day while we were at work the shower floor is missing multiple pieces and feels like it is going to cave in with even the slightest bit of weight, the outlets in the room and hallways are falling out or are smashed into the wall with no covers, the door to our room will not lock we had to stack our luggage in front of the door and when asked for the issues to be addressed the front desk lady was super short and disrespectful, me and my very pregnant wife stayed here and the room and hallways smell like mold and that is not safe for anyone let alone a very pregnant woman. All in all if I could give negative stars I would. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is not safe for anyone especially not women who are developing babies while in a moldy hotel. Stay at your own risk
