OMG walked into Meldgie's River edge Cafe and liked the cozy atmosphere was greeted as soon as we walked and wasn't rushed to order which I enjoy ,my wife and I ordered the #4 two eggs with bacon and homefries which was cooked to our liking but on the wall of specials of the day was a bunch of delicious items to choose from we also chose the strawberry, blueberry cream cheese crepe were amazing the flavors were all there you tasted the blueberry and cream cheese and strawberry nothing was overpowering just the right blend . I definitely look forward to coming back soon.

A very local place with fresh, and mean F R E S H food. Some of best hone frie potatoes with breakfast. Slowly ( sadly for me)becoming a go to place for tourists. But understandable given great prices and and fantastic food. Friendly service is trifecta.

Pretty decent breakfast at Meldgie’s Diner in Wakefield. One of the better breakfast spots down near the beach. Old school, typical American style breakfast. I got their egg, cheese and sausage sandwich on a biscuit. ($5) I also got a chocolate chip pancake ($3.50). Unfortunately, the pancake was way too small - sucks because it was really good. However, this might of been the best biscuit ever!!! 🔥 It was so buttery and airy at the same time. I almost ordered biscuits and gravy because of how good it was. A power move was pouring some syrup on top of the sandwich. Had the feels of a McDonald’s McGriddle. My brother got the Mexican omelette ($9.50) which he said was good. It was a big portion with a large omelette and a bunch of homefries. Wouldn’t mind going back to get more of those amazing biscuits.

I did not have a plan to go here but was searching for a place to go because the place I was going to was closed on Tuesday. I am pretty bad about taking pictures so I took a picture of my left overs, because when I was there I was more concerned about eating my food than taking a picture of it. The omelet was excellent, the home fries are good, my grilled English was a little dry but I added my own butter. I was very excited that they had a variety of tea as I do not drink Lipton tea. The service was very fast, and the prices were good.

We were looking for a local spot and we hit the jackpot here! I’m a creature of habit for breakfast, bacon egg and cheese omelette, but I added the pumpkin and vanilla French toast and I swear it was the best thing I’ve ever had. It could have been dessert! What a great place to eat!

Fantastic!! Growing up in New York, diners are a way of life. Outside of New York, I’ve always had a hard time finding anyplace the compares. But this place is fantastic! The food was great, service was good and fast, and it just had the warm diner atmosphere. Really enjoyed it. I will be back (in bunches!)

Excellent food and service! Dee was a great waitress, so friendly and attentive, we did not have to wait for anything! I would highly recommend Meldgie's to anyone looking for a nice place to eat!

Restaurant was incredibly crowded for 11:15am on a Tuesday but we were seated right away! Lots of options on Menu including Gluten-Free Toast and GF Johnny Cakes! Even though there were lots of customers our food came out extremely fast and was all we asked for! Server was friendly and very accommodating! Definitely will be back again! A great local RI cafe!
