What a great experience, would highly recommend. Sheldon and the entire crew was fun, helpful and very knowledgeable. I now have a new appreciation for nuclear power and how it can solve climate change.

The best experience you could possibly ask for! The captain, the pilot and the whole crew were incredibly fun and entertaining and made every part of the experience so much fun! We went early in the morning, got there at 5:30am and got to see the sunrise over the mountains and beautiful Lake Tahoe. The pilot is very engaging and fun with many stories. The ride was incredible and absolutely worth the money and time to make this trip from wherever you may be coming from!!

This was such a fun experience! The entire crew was so kind, welcoming, hard working and knowledgeable! Our 9 year old was pretty nervous, and they all went out of their way to joke around with her and put her at ease! This experience is well worth the time and money. Thanks again for the great memories! What a great way to spend our 18th wedding anniversary!!!

This was an amazing flight! I’m afraid of heights, so I was a little apprehensive, and this wasn’t something I thought I would ever do before. But my daughter talked me into it and I’m so glad I did it. Gabe, our pilot, was very nice and super informative.! The views were spectacular!!

I was nervous to do this excursion, but as soon as the staff came on and all spoke to us, I was immediately put at ease. The staff was soo soo kind, soo knowledgeable, soo friendly, helpful and each one had such good sense of humor! They all exercised great teamwork too!! They provided us snacks, jackets and blankets. I loved it! I was glad I did this. My only regret is not doing it sooner!

So much more than we expected, it's a whole experience! The crew is so personable, they give fun facts about Tahoe, it's history, and tell stories about the origins of hot air ballooning. There's coffee and snacks, popcorn to throw in to the wind to see the real time physics and gravity happening all around the balloon, and photography opportunities galore. Cheers, Lake Tahoe Balloons we will definitely do this again!

Coolest experience!! Would go again and again. Our first flight was cancelled due to the weather but they had no problem booking us on the next day. Which the weather was perfect! The pilot, Sheldon was so informative and had great stories. The crew was fantastic and we felt 100% safe the entire time. Thank you guys so much for a memorable experience :)

An epic and magical ride! The crew was fantastic, super friendly and professional, safety was a top priority, and the whole time was a blast. We have done a lot of cool things together, but this definitely impressed my partner and I. I’m afraid of heights and I didn’t feel a drop of fear. It’s the only experience like it in the whole world. Lake Tahoe is stunning, and seeing from 12,650 feet only made it more incredible. One million percent worth the trip to Lake Tahoe. Amazing experience! From when you get on the boat with hot coffee to once you land the balloon you celebrate with champagne! I would recommend to anyone coming to Lake Tahoe!

As a born and raised local I’ve been wanting to do this my whole life, because it seems the balloon has always been stunningly displayed above me in my early morning bus rides to middle school! Today I was finally able to do it and my inner hype lived its full glory on the chilly October water! Everything about the boat and ballon experience was seamless. Follow the rules and you will have a grand time! Get there early and stay warm in your car. Wear many layers and bring a bag to take layers off over the hours you’re on the water. They have water, coffee and snacks upon arrival and everyone is extremely friendly even so early in the morning! When you get on the water the crew is working constantly to get the ballon ready while also making the experience fun and full of information about the lake! When you go up (either the first or second balloon) you will have a view that nothing else could provide. Each ride is different but I highly suggest the second balloon ride. Your guide will have a ton of information about the lake (yes even more fun facts!) and make it fun with themed music. It will surprise you how quiet it is at the top (like parasailing if you’ve ever been) and it’s actually warmer than you think! If you’re afraid of heights not to worry this isn’t the same feeling. Someone would have more of an issue with the smaller basket dividers than how high up you are. That was me, the basket person. I have to say going in October was probably the best time because you can see the stunning changing trees all over the lake! It makes more more of a view than the blue and green of summer. Not that summer isn’t beautiful but the pops of color are incredible!!! Also don’t be upset if winds cancel your boat, it’s for your own safety and as someone who works on boats believe me be thankful they don’t risk your life! Now on the way back down take in mind you land ON the barge you took off from. So it’s a very exciting journey back to the water. And when you are out of the basket and the second ride is complete you’ll get a full history lesson on the balloon (through history) and then cheers to some pretty decent sparkling wine!! I couldn’t recommend this any more than I already do having not really known how great it was except by word of mouth from my friends. Make sure to tip. I’d suggest around $20/person as the captain and crew work very hard for your personal enjoyment and your safety! And then go have a nice hot breakfast somewhere nearby with your little brut buzz!!!

What an amazing experience! We loved every second of it from taking off at the dock to the champagne toast at the end. A once in a lifetime experience being on the water and in the air! The staff goes above and beyond in all aspects of their services and we couldn’t have even make thrilled than to share this experience with them on our anniversary. Thank you Lake Tahoe Balloons!

One of the most wonderful experience ever! As pilot Sheldon mentioned “ the most unique.” Btw he’s an amazing pilot, loves his job and a pretty good DJ 😉 The entire crew was great and a special 🤙🏽to captain George. My husband and I left there in awe. Love Tahoe even more!

Absolutely breath taking views! The crew and captain were amazing they took really good care of us. The captain and crew were very informative about everything which helped for this being my very first time. I would highly recommend we really l enjoyed this experience!

This is without a doubt one of the best experiences this 70 year old has ever had. All nine of us had a great adventure. One of the best parts is how knowledgeable the entire crew is. Our pilot Sheldon gave us commentary on everything as it was happening. His experience and knowledge was definitely a highlight.

What an amazing experience! I can't speak highly enough of the all the gentleman on the boat that took care of us. These guys are a well-oiled machine! Everyone was so friendly and informative, making sure we felt comfortable (coffee, tea, and pastries were served, as well as blankets provided!) and safe. I learned a lot and felt like I was an active participant in the experience! I had no idea this was the only place in the world where you can take off and land from the water! It was a beautiful, gentle flight, and I'm so grateful to the Lake Tahoe Balloons for the safe, fun, and exciting trip! Big thanks to our pilot Sheldon and the rest of the team!

Celebrating our 1 year Kidney transplant anniversary we chose to hot air balloon over Lake Tahoe with Sheldon and his crew after hearing how great they are through the Hot Air for Hope event. From start to finish they were personable, thoughtful, funny, safety conscientious and knowledgeable. Cannot say enough good things about this company and tour, I got lucky and picked the most perfect day to book a flight, the weather and views were amazing! If you have the chance to do this you absolutely should!! I was traveling through the area solo and the wonderful crew and other passengers made this such a lovely experience, the whole flight process was so fun to watch, and they even made sure I got some great pictures to take home. I am a Tahoe local, and have been here over 40 years, I have always admired watching the balloons fly over the lake on my way to work in the early mornings. So, when a good friend of mine retired I couldn't think of a better thing to gift her with than a ride in a Hot Air Balloon! When I booked this and paid for it I didn't know that she was a little afraid of heights and not a big fan of boats. So it was a surprise for both of us to say the least. She went along with it though and was so delighted that she did!! I can't say enough good about this whole crew and especially the pilot, Sheldon. OMG he was so reassuring and fun! The whole experience is magnificently beautiful and astounding! So worth the expense. Just heads up for those that are afraid you might not like it, challenge yourself, you'll be glad you did, definitely more peaceful than you imagine! this ride is a major must do for your "Bucket List" (:
