A nice breakfast place to stop by while you’re in Lake Tahoe. It can get crowded in the morning but we got seated very quickly. There is no reservation required. First come first serve and I do like that a lot. Our dishes were cooked perfectly too. Highly recommend the Meat lover’s omelette with added spinach. And definitely try their potato pancake for a side order!

First time trying Driftwood cafe. Service was prompt and attentive, food was good, portions were HUGE! Make your own omelet is a great deal, and the dirty fries dish is massive-like seriously a two person meal. Overall solid choice in Heavenly village for breakfast at fair prices!

We went there for brunch. There were 5 of us. We got there at around 9:15am on a Tuesday (7/19) and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. They take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. Food was delicious. Service was great. Portions are sizable. Recommend going there hungry so you can eat! Would totally come back again.

What a great way to start the day! My husband had the Hungry Hiker and I had the Ugly Fries. Both meals were so delicious! A super cute place to grab brunch. Employees were very friendly and attentive. Thank you!

Nice little cozy cafe. The staffs are very friendly and attentive. I had the steak and egg. My steak was flavorful. The place was clean. Our food did not take long to come out. I would come back again.

The food was amazing, the service was phenomenal, and the ambiance was cozy! Every single item that my party ordered was absolutely delicious! The omelettes, the eggs, and the chicken fried steak were all yummy! I got the black chili chicken omelette and I loved it! Or waitress was super friendly and made us all feel so comfortable and relaxed as we ate, she was a darling. The interior of the restaurant was very cozy like the interior of a cabin. Can't wait to come back the next time my party comes skiing!

This restaurant definitely has the best breakfast offerings in the heavenly village area. My family and I dined here earlier this week, and it was well worth the price. I got a breakfast combo with a Belgian waffle, eggs and bacon and I will go on record by saying this was one of my favorite breakfasts I've had in any restaurant in all the towns I've visited. Plus, all the employees I conversed with were friendly, and the atmosphere was pretty vibrant. It was worth the visit. Zero complaints.

The breakfast is delicious & the portions are HUGE. Unfortunately, I was only able to visit one time but I wanted to try everything on the menu. I settled with the gravy biscuits & they were to die for! Please make sure to go early because this place fills up quick.

Decent food - taste wise. Portion size was good - not too big nor small. The mashed potato pancake was tasty! Eggs were a little dry/overcooked. Staff was friendly. Saturday late brunch time had quite some rush (~30 mins wait). Best options in the area!

Really split in this review. We ate here twice. The first experience was amazing. Food is great, servers really nice, etc. On the second visit the hostess got snippy (which I didn't care for). As with all places, who you interact with makes a difference. The rest of the staff was friendly and great to deal with. That said, we recommend this place because of the overall experience and great tasting food with filling portions.

While I admit there is a wait usually for this restaurant, we put our name on list for breakfast. They provide a text message service to update you on your spot on the waitlist. Efficient and easy..we received a text when our reservation was available 30 mins later..... People watching, we witnessed people opting to sit at the bar inside or order take out and sit outside. Witnessed a steady stream of people looking for a spot in the restaurant. Probably they could open a 2nd location...eh? We got a booth which is preferred and ordered breakfast combo. Large portions and bottomless coffee. Staff here are friendly and were easy to engage with. Worth the wait, I definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Absolutely amazing! Anytime a restaurant offers a half order on their entrées, I am on board!!! I had the eggs Benedict with the herb seasoning Which was excellent. Great staff - Best meal I’ve had in south Tahoe! And btw GREAT prices.

I was greeted & seated, immediately handed an ice water and asked what I wanted to drink. I was not left out of the picture and felt attended to. They asked me how my meal was and if I needed anything else. Super delightful, highly recommend this as a breakfast hot spot. Food was delicious, (I ordered the Carolina Connection)

Great dining experience. Went there for breakfast. The food was amazingly delicious! The service was top-notch! The atmosphere was nice. We were lucky in that there is normally a wait to be seated, but we go in right away. If you are looking for an excellent place to have breakfast, this is it! Very highly recommend.

Although it was very packed we received good service and the food was pretty good. Would definitely recommend. Long waits in the morning though.

Good food and good friendly service at this nicely decorated little spot. The prices were really good for the area. It was worth the short walk from the casino.

This is a little local cafe. We have been going there for years and I feel that the quality of food has definitely gone downhill. It was our go-to place for breakfast but we want to explore more options now given their food is subpar now. We ordered eggs Benedict veggie style this time and the eggs were boiled instead of poached. Pancakes were over cooked.

First of all, customer service was excellent from the beginning to the end. We had to wait for almost an hour but it was worth the wait. We ordered the hungry hiker and the Carolina Connection and both were great. Our Jamaican waiter was awesome too!

Great breakfast, you will not leave hungry! Food (4/5): Well made American breakfast, quite large portions, so be hungry when you arrive :) Service (5/5): Super service minded woman that took care of us, gave good recommendations and came by to check up on us. She even let us know that a new person would take care of us when she when for a break or something. Atmosphere (3/5): Mountain diner theme with robust tables.

Local’s recommended this diner as there #1 breakfast spot. All Ingredients were high quality and the meat lovers was stacked! Sourdough bread was fresh with just the right amount of butter. The avocado on the egg was a nice touch and delicious. Not to mention the coffee that you will not want to stop drinking after the first cup!

The Belgian Waffle batter was quite bland. I was looking for a relatively sweet breakfast and added copious amounts of maple syrup and it was STILL pretty bland. I asked for whipped cream - fortunately that was a little sweetened. A little only though. The sausage Patties were good. The Driftwood Chiller was pretty nice. Tables are a little too close to each other and most of the staff was not wearing masks. There was a 25 min wait for a walk-in reservation on 9 AM on a Sunday. Be prepared to wait a bit. There was also a strong gust advisory that day so keep warm.

What a great find! This is a small local restaurant located at the far end of Heavenly Village. First day, we arrived at 10am for breakfast and had to wait an hour to be seated. We ended up eating lunch (grilled chicken melt w/tomato soup and The Californian w/fries). Best tomato soup I've ever had. Went back the next day for breakfast at 8am and we were sat immediately (but the line started to build from there). I had the Ugly Fries (diced potatoes with peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese) - seriously, this is something to share as it is a huge portion. My husband had the French Toast. We did not go on a weekend - we hear the lines are really long. But the food is delicious and the servers were so friendly, well worth the wait.

Best breakfast we've had this week. The food is a generous amount. Staff is super friendly. Debra took our order & she was amazing! Made us feel very welcome & convinced me to try the chorizo burrito that did not disappoint. 10/10

Came in on a Saturday morning around 11 am and there was about a 45 minute wait, which we expected. The weather was beautiful so we ordered a carafe of mimosas and sat outside in their patio area while we waited. The food was decently priced and well worth the wait. The portions were huge. Their bloody marys were delicious also. Will definitely stop in again when in Tahoe.

We absolutely loved this place. One of the very few places open early in the main little tourist area and to my knowledge the only one serving meals....no wait when we went in @ 0730ish. But when we left there was a line to get in. I had the daily special a chorizo burrito and it was great. HUGE but great. Very affordable and the service was too notch from the moment we walked in. Deb our waitress was AWESOME the place is lucky to have such a special young lady working for them!!!
