Disclaimer. I do not think this hotel represents all Holiday inn locations. This review is specifically for the Greenbelt location. As much as they projects cleanliness My room does not reflect that. It does not looked cleaned I doubt it was inspected before tagged to be ready for anyone to check in. Food crumbs, cob webs and stained carpet and ceiling where clearly visible. No staff reached out, even after compliant. I checked out early to keep my calm.

My experience was very pleasant I was a little skeptical because of the negative reviews and I was coming pretty far from home. It was my Husband’s birthday and we came for the weekend for the game and visiting the capital!! Our stay ended up being perfect!! The location we was super close to everything. Front desk was very welcoming and friendly,, our room was super clean. House keeping kept our room clean and tidy during our stay. We didn’t know construction was going on but despite it was very quiet our entire stay!! If I needed to be come again I would pick this hotel again!!! Thank you for everything

For a 3 star hotel I feel it is very battered. The hallway carpet reminds me of the Movie Shining. 600$ for a room with two double beds, for 5 nights are very cheap. But we did not know that cheap means battered and defective. The door to the room opens only with force, the bathroom door should not be closed from the outside because otherwise it locks itself. The beds are good, the room is spacious. The room has no mainlight. Only 2 Lamps at the Bed. And one lamp at the entry. There are no holders for wet towels. There is a free coffee machine in the lobby. If you are lucky more than hot water comes out. For 4 people only 2 towels were provided, also shower gel and shampoo there was only 1 tiny bottle. The service staff is very friendly. Update: there is no Bar. Update 2: They don't even care about the Review Answers anymore... > Thank you for sharing your notes about your recent stay at the “Name of the Hotel”.

We just spent 4 nights in this hotel. I won’t blame the staff but this hotel really needs an upgrade. First the chairs at the lobby looks like they were picked from a thrift store. The rooms are big enough but the bathrooms are really small and not to mention the toilet pot that looks like that of my 5 years old baby. Beds are really old and rails sticking out that can easily hurt someone by accident. Everything seems to look dirty and very old. Our second night the air conditioner was not working. We had a miserable night. We complained in the morning but wasn’t fixed till we got back late at night. We requested for our room to be changed. Our experience was horrible and it wasn’t fun at all living in this hotel

Over all, this hotel was alright. Comfortable bed, clean, and staff was great. They have the typical basic hotel breakfast without some of the condiments that other Holiday Inns offers for $15 a person. I was shocked at how lack luster it was for that price.

WORST STAY EVER. To be clear I chose this place for location only and was not expecting anything fancy or special just a regular room with two queen beds and regular hotel service. No couldn’t be done. The room was never provided to us. We were given the wrong room which was simply not large enough to accommodate us but we were forced to take it or just not check in (also not an option for obvious reasons). I have a disability and have to have my own bed (which is why I PAID for my own bed). I was told multiple times to “just give it a few minutes” not only did the room NEVER come but they did not call us to update us I had to keep checking. At some point we realized that no one was coming so we just had to try to make do. Then we realize there are no towels. Not one single towel in this room. We keep calling the front desk no answer. Finally get someone. It takes so long for the towels to come that it is too late for us to shower. My disability requires that I shower and dry myself so I can put on kinesiology tape before leaving out. This didn’t happen and I was in excruciating pain all night. They do not respond. The next morning we spoke to the manager (we had been requesting to speak to him for hours the night before but he was “busy”). He argues with us but eventually agrees to refund. I now check my account ti find that not only have they not refunded me. But they have charged me almost double for the room!! I don’t know what is going on at this place, but seriously just AVOID IT! I have since learned there is another hotel (Crowne Plaza College Park) that is very close and has similar prices which is much nicer and has actual service. Stay there instead. Save yourself all this awful hassle and stress. This ruined my night and caused me a lot of pain.

Always had to look for someone at the front desk. Under renovation so laundry and gym closed. Wish they had alerted us to that before we paid in advance for hotel. Card key stopped working on door. Had to make multiple trips to get a working one. Bathrooms had no place to hang towels or wet wash cloths.

It looks old, right now going through a much needed renovation; so we shall see the new version. It has a great location, night staff was helpful. Rooms are OK, the restroom could for sure get updated. But it is a great value if you only need a room for 4-6 hours.

It’s going through renovations, so it may improve. Rooms are in bad shape, water damage and general damage. The fitness center was closed. Breakfast is $15 for what is free buffet breakfast at other Holiday Inn locations.

Worst stay! We had to change rooms as our sink was overflowing and then we we got to the next room the tv wasn’t working. We were told it would be fixed the next day and never was. Called the general manager to get billing issues resolved because charges were messed up and she was very rude off the bat since answering the phone. When I said she was being rude she got defensive saying she wasn’t. Worst place to stay and worst staff. Did not enjoy our stay. If you are not nice to your guests don’t even go into the hospitality business.

Stayed at this hotel due to its location to FedEx stadium. Staff are FRIENDLY and check-in was quick and easy. We stayed in the 2-queen bed room and it was very comfortable including the pillows. Breakfast was hot and a good choice of food.

I was travelling for a conference. The worst experience ever. The front desk staff were not welcoming and I would say were rude. The room was horrible and I could see roaches. I asked them about the gym and the condition of the room and the answer that I got was that the hotel is under-renovation. There are better low cost hotels around the area and would never recommend this place. Also don't go by their website. I had to change my ticket to an earlier flight just to get away from there. I wish I had taken pictures of roaches and ants but I think I was already over the place.

Chose this hotel during my recent business trip to DC. The location is good. It took about 35 minutes to an hour to get to downtown DC depending on traffic at various times of the day. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They are currently renovating so there was some noise during the day/afternoons but they did a good job at keeping it from inconveniencing the guests. If I had to pick 1 thing that was unexpected/negative was that most Holiday Inns I've stayed at offer complimentary breakfast, this one did not but instead charged $15 for a breakfast buffet that was really nothing different than I normal continental breakfast. That part was a surprise but not that bad, unfortunately the food was not very good and certainly not worth the $15. I would stay here again if I come back to the area. Overall, I enjoyed my trip.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your hotel. This site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the best in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't be let down. This was a clean hotel with very nice people at the front desk. The rooms are worn out but very clean. Bed was comfortable and the size of the room was very good. Included a nice size refrigerator and freezer and coffee maker.

We spent 1 night at this location in July. The staff was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but its only so much they can do.The room was just clean, however a upgrade is much needed. Everything is old and outdated. The curtains were frayed and stained, and the bathroom floor appeared to have been repaired and not properly cleaned. The worst of all was that the air system didn't work. It was miserable sleeping with no relief in sight. We talked to other guests on the same floor, and they had similar complaints. We had several rooms, and this was the case for both rooms. Oh! Don't let me forget the toilet that looked as if it was made for a toddler (tiny).

I only gave the room 3 stars because it needs remodeled and the carpet was dirty. I did enjoy the hot tub. The water pressure for the shower was not good but the hot tub pressure was good. The breakfast was good and had a variety of foods. I did see they were remodeling on the floor I was on so maybe they just didn't get to that spot yet. Overall experience was great. I know the area and there is alot of different places to eat at.

I was taking a family member to the vascular center in Beltsville. This particular Holiday Inn is RIGHT across a parking lot from the center, so is incredibly convenient. The condition of this property is really QUITE run down. Somehow the enamel is peeling from the interior of the bath, there was water damage (large bubbles in the paint) on the bathroom ceiling, wallpaper peeling off walls, multiple knobs OFF of the dresser .... You get the picture. If the condition of the property left things to be desired, the staff did not. Obviously when at a hotel stay, it's better to need nothing more than a quick interaction with reception, but if more is needed.... I was going to the lobby and met 1 of the maintenance men in the elevator. He asked how my stay was going and I explained that my mother was upset that she couldn't get her football team's game on the TV. He checked quickly with the front desk, came to our room to check the TV, ARRANGED FOR US TO SWITCH ROOMS FOR A NEWER TV(all for an older lady's love of football). Grabbed 1 of the maids, helped us move our bags and got us settled into the new room. Needless to say, he got a good tip for being so proactive...

Hotel is dated, and could def use some upgrades. The baseboards in the bathroom were dirty and dusty. The shower could have been cleaner as well, was good water pressure and hot. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet(hallways). I stayed on the 7th floor. It was just not up to my standards. The hotel was in a nice location and close to alot of stuff. I wouldnt stay here again unless it gets updated.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was going through renovations by the new owners. Also, housekeeping staff called off because it was Mother's Day weekend. Front desk staff was helpful and very courteous. The stay was nice except there is only regular TV with no guide options. You have to scroll the entire channel to find something to watch. Other than that, everything was fine.

This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First room we walked into had a disheveled bed that was clearly not made. After telling the front desk, we were given a second room which they claimed they just checked; however, when we went to the room the door lock was completely dead (meaning they did not just check the room). The last room we received was completely unsanitary with red marks on the bathroom walls and dirty carpets. To top it all off, our friend who was staying in a different room received a room with no shower curtain and then got bug bites. With that being said, we were so disgusted that we did not stay the remained of our trip. We were told we would receive a refund for the nights we didn’t stay, but we haven’t and they are impossible to get a hold of. After checking out early from the Holiday Inn, we went to the Crowne Plaza College Park which was a 10/10! Highly recommend staying there. Overall, I would never in a million years stay at this Holiday Inn Again. I would give it zero stars if I could.

The bed was comfortable and big but that was about it for positive things. Little dirt rings around the drain in the sink, front of the toilet had dirt streaks on it even if the seat was clean so we had to clean as soon as we get in. But the main issue with this hotel is the noise. The walls are paper thin. Banging all night and then 5:30am hits and the person in the room over starts blasting music, I go to call the hotel at the number listed on my reservation email and it’s disconnected. Unreal. Hit 6:30PM and children in the hallway knocking on doors. Keep in mind that the constant banging I mentioned earlier? Has still not stopped. I am exhausted and got zero hours of sleep in this place. Final straw is that I go to shower and my wash rag has a whole corner of it that’s just black?? Lost a customer here.

The facility is showing its age. It's time for an upgrade. You can tell by just looking around. I work in commercial construction, so I easily recognize things below the standard. The hotel is located in the middle of a business complex. The staff was nice. There is ample parking available. We stayed one night for a conference being held next door. There are signs of aging in the flooring, furniture, bathroom, and walls.

I was relocated in two rooms due to under bed Hadn’t been cleaned in months it was very dusty with food underneath the bed and old dried up red rose petals. The carpet was old and dirty. The floorboards were raggedy dusty with holes showing in the walls. The ceiling was bubbling and peeling. All of the lampshades had some type of residue and were dusty and dirty. The whole room needs to be torn out and updated. There was a big gap under the door so anything could’ve crawled into the room at night. The bathroom is old and outdated floorboards and corners were all torn with holes. And the rooms Both rooms had a foul odor. Both chairs in the rooms had stains and crumbs underneath the cushion. And the front desk kept stating that room service cleaned the room and that they would look at the rooms to make sure they were clean and they were not. I would never stay at the Holiday Inn in Greenbelt Maryland ever again. I was very disappointed with the quality of the rooms and I was very uncomfortable staying the night at this hotel with my two small children and my husband.

Thieves broke into my car while staying at this hotel. The culprits cut out the passenger window stole what was inside. Not only that, two other cars got broken into along with mine so a total of three cars. We were shocked when the police told us that this happens frequently at this hotel! When we went to the front desk, they told us that this do happen VERY OFTEN and unfortunately their cameras only covers the hotel front area not the parking lot! Management didn’t even call or did anything about it. If this happens very often, why haven’t they invested in proper security cameras that covers the entire parking lot so that they can catch these culprits?

I’m very unhappy with this stay. Luckily it was only a one night stay. The carpet was filthy, I picked up so much dirt on my socks. The bathtub is peeling, I found a few hairs that were not my own. There’s a cigarette smell coming from the hallways and leaks into the bathroom. The cherry on top is the construction noises that started at 8 am. I will not be returning to stay here.

😠 The lady was very nice. We needed a hotel for one night, honestly a couple hours. Y’all should change pet friendly to just dog friendly. I’m moving up this way and my apartment wasn’t ready in time. There were other guest who told me they had cats. When I said something about my fully vaccinated and...
