I apparently interrupted the staff member at the visitors center on Easter Sunday from his Candy Crush game. Sorry bruh. Maybe you should work at a carnival for the ball toss.

Family friendly. Exhibits were cleverly fogged on the outside so you had to go inside. There was something for everyone: telescopes, otter erotica, wolf violence, dancing with cranes, polar bear, snowball fight, coloring. The woman who worked there was very nice, as was the bathroom (soap smelled good! However, the hand dryer was weak.) Interactive exhibit-- skulls!! to touch. Made us feel like we were back in middle school science class.

Recently visited this wildlife refuge and was able to see some birds I had not seen in a long time. The hiking paths are very nice around the lake. Parking is free and was not crowded for the weekend

Great place to be outside but I must say after working and living here for 7 months this place is run like a fast food joint. The red tape is absurd and prevents anything from getting properly done. My car was scratched, the WiFi is horrible and just the overall incompetence of everyone involved here is astounding. I will never be working for the feds, much less USFWS again.

A gorgeous refuge away from, but still within driving distance, of a few city centers. A definite must visit! I only wish I didn't live on the opposite side of the country, otherwise I would probably visit every chance I had!

Great cycling on both paved and unpaved roads. The section I rode had just a few cars and was mostly flat.

I went to Patuxent 3 years ago with my STEP Program colleagues and we had a nice time. The lake was nice and we even had a picnic.

Wonderful place and full of unique flora and fauns: threaten by losing at least 200 acres to a proposed maglev train. Demonstrate your anger.
