My company just did the Georgetown Tour what an amazing experience. Jim the guide was awesome and so accommodating. This is the perfect team building experience, just the right blend of amazing food and drink, cool venues, super interesting history and time to connect with one another. We will definitely be doing this again! Oh and what an amazing company that really gives back to the community. For every person that comes on one of their tours they provide 3 meals to folks in need in the city. we were able to donate 48 meals!!!!

This was our very first good tour than we have done and WOW, this experience has set the bar high. We had a small group of 6 who all enjoyed trying foods. The history provided on Georgetown was an incredible learning experience. Our group had a great flow as we spoke on history, food, and travel. The tour guides also shared other local places for us to try food and drinks! The food that we enjoyed were lovely spots that we will be frequenting again when we return to D.C. This company gives back to their community after each tour. This is a must!

We had the best time on our Georgetown Food Tour! We especially appreciate that Blue Fern supports local small businesses and also donates meals to members of the community in need. The food was excellent and we had more than enough to eat and drink. The best part was our guide, Anthony. His knowledge of the local history and legend made the day so interesting and entertaining! We learned so much. This was our second tour with Blue Fern Travel and it won't be our last.

I loved my U Street tour with Jim! I lived in DC for years but didn't know much of the history behind the people and places that Jim highlighted along our route. I learned a lot, ate a ton, and had really interesting, nuanced conversations with the whole group throughout this experience. I *highly* recommend you take this tour -- whether you're local or visiting!

We had a great tour of the U Street area of DC with our guide Rasheed. Tons of local knowledge, great food and we even were able to meet the matriarch of Ben's Chili Bowl! Surprised by the quantity and quality of the artwork on this tour, so many great murals to see. Would definite do this again.

The Food and Historical tour of Alexandria could not have been more fun and informative. I've lived in the area many years but still learned tidbits of history I never knew. We were just a jolly group on a food and facts adventure. Perfect if you want to plan a genial outing for guests.

Did the Greorgetown food tour with kids (14 and 13) and wife. We had a great time learing about Georgetown history and the great independent restaurants in the area. The tour was well paced with 2 fun and talkative guides. Food was a nice selection to include a stuffed crossiant, Neopolitan pizza with meatball, fafel sandwich, and Creme brulee. Bring your walking shoes and an healthy appetite. A very generous amount of food!

The U Street Food and Walking tour was great! Even in the rain. Jim was super knowledgeable about the history, architecture and food. I loved to try new foods and old favorites. I wasn't overly full nor hungry. A perfect balance of American and Ethiopian meals with Latinx and Asian desserts. Yum!

We did the U Street Tour and had the pleasure of having Jason as our tour guide! We were in DC for my sister's bachelorette party, and history is really important to her and her friends (as well as food), and this tour hit both spots. It was the best tour many of us had been on, and the food was really good. We especially loved getting to try Ben's Chili was well as the Ethiopian stop. There was plenty of food, all of us came away feeling VERY full and happy. Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, he was great with our questions and seemed passionate and eager to talk about everything even though I am sure he has done this tour hundreds of times. My sister is also vegetarian and they were more than accommodating - she said she LOVED and appreciated all the food that she also got, and that it did not feel like an afterthought. The history of DC is so interesting, and while sometimes hard or sad to hear what has happened, it is so important to remember what has happened and I am glad the folks at Blue Fern Travel have found people so passionate about bringing that history and culture to more people. The only issue was I wish that I had taken more photos, I think we all got swept away in it so much that I forgot! :) Might be a good reason to do it again, and bring some new folks to experience it.

This was a great food tour. It was the perfect mix of walking, talking, and eating. Our guide Jim was incredibly knowledgeable, had a strong voice (to carry over the bustle of the U street corridor), and was a skilled speaker. He reminded me of a very engaging college professor. We learned SO much about the rich history of the area, and ended the day pleasantly full of delicious food!

Georgetown tour was awesome! Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. Giving this a 4 because we had to eat outside for a couple of stops and the weather was cold.

Excellent your of Georgetown. This was a historical tour in addition to a tasting tour - the various places to eat were paced nicely with the tour to not become to fatigued. There is a lot of walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces so I don't recommend if you have difficulty walking. Our guide, Wesley, was knowledgeable, informative, engaging, and an excellent guide. My wife and I grew up in the area but have started touring DC to learn more. This was one of the better tours we have taken. I highly recommend.

My girls and I wanted to do something a little different while in DC so we decided to do a Food Tour through Georgetown. What a great treat (especially the first stop). Not only was the food at each spot fantastic, the history lessons, the walk around town and the supporting the local mom and dad foodie spots were a true treat. Next time we are in the DC area, we will certainly try another neighborhood!

Soneka was really entertaining and enthusiastic and brought Georgetown to life for us. Interesting tour around a beautiful part of DC and the food was scrumptious too. All in all a great experience.

Great tour and Jason was an incredible guide. There were three of us - my sister (a vegetarian), my 12-year old son and me - and everyone was well fed and entertained. It's a great tour with lots of insights and history around U Street. We started at Ben's Chili Bowl, which was my favorite stop, and ended at DC's #1 ice cream shop. Great time! I highly recommend it if you are looking for something unique and off the beaten path.

The U Street Food, History & Street Art Tour is not to be missed. Better than the tour itself was our tour guide Jason. I was totally stressed from having made a wrong turn and arriving late to the group. My cousins and I were made to feel totally welcomed, comfortable and never rushed. Jason recapped all we missed and made sure we got the full experience. He personally engaged with each participant and was open to input from everyone. My favorite part was the street art, no wait, the history, no wait, the food, no wait .. Okay the entire tour is a must. The tour guide to have is Jason !!

A must try while in DC. It is always important to be a tourist in your own city and that is what Blue Fern Travel allowed us to do. We participated in the Georgetown tour and enjoyed the mix of history and local eats. The tour guide made this experience as they hire knowledgeable and friendly staff. We had already been to two of the 4 spots but the last dessert and location was a spot we plan to be returning too.

We got a chance to meet some new folks from North Dakota, Carson City, and Virginia and learn some Interesting and intriguing history while sampling a unique array of tasty food. Our guide, Soneka was engaging and knowledgeable as well as entertaining. My husband and I would highly recommend this Georgetown tour experience.

We did the Georgetown tour in March 2022. Ann was a phenomenal guide! We really enjoyed all of her wonderful stories, the engagement she had with each guest and her kind spirit. The food was all wonderful - my personal fave was the falafel. Thank you for opening our eyes to the wonderful history of Georgetown and for donating part of your profits (and supporting others that to the same) to those in need. Highly recommend!

Georgetown tour with Anne was amazing. She isn't just going to tell you about food, she's an awesome tour guide, a historian, and a socialite. We learned about architecture, history, scandalous affairs, and homes of the rich and famous. Anne provided a great experience, a wonderful timeline of seeing the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of Georgetown. I bet you think the town is named after Mr. Washington don't you? Well, you can learn the truth and so much more while be led around by Blue Fern Travel. We spent 2+ hours hopping from spot to spot and really getting a behind the scenes tour like none other. And if you want to feel good about your experience, you'll discover that your tour fee helps support local food banks and local businesses as well. So sign up and get ready to laugh and learn and have some great local DC food. It is an easy walk and nothing but a good time. Way to go Anne, you killed it !!!!! Jim and Missy say we'll be back again soon.

We were so.fortinate to have Jason as our guide. He is very knowledgable and makes the tour extremly fun sharing his passion of food and community. Blue fern travel gives back to the cimminity by providing 3 meals for the needy for evey purchased tour. You will learn about History and also get some food along the way. We went on the U street and Georgetown walking tours. Both were exceptional. We ate some Ethiopian food, Cuban food, the best ice cream and the highlight was the smoked sausage at Ben's. On the georgetown tour you will taste an amazing falafel, one of the best in the US. Eat meatloaf where Richard Nixon and JFK ate as well as other influential people. Leave room for the creme brulee. Take both tours you will have fun.

We really enjoyed the Tastes of Georgetown tour. Our host, Soneka, was very enthusiastic and entertaining, with lots of great information about the Georgetown area where we toured. We were not wildly enthusiastic about the food choices as being representative of the local cuisine (especially the main course of meatloaf), but the tour was well-organized, the company was good, and we learned a lot about the local community. Thank you!
