SOUTH MIAMI, FL – This restaurant has a nice history. First, it was Casa Larios, founded by Quintín and María Teresa Larios who later opened up Larios on the Beach with their celebrity partners Emilio and Gloria Estefan. . After several years, they sold Casa Larios and became Casa Cuba. . The brand took on a new style, still with the Cuban flair, but with a new twist. In Miami where about 70% of restaurants big and small serve Cuban food, it’s hard to stand out; to create a unique ambiance and identity for your brand. . Some of Casa Cuba’s dishes have a great presentation, others have a plain look. But all of them have a great taste, no doubt about that. . The staff are courteous, polite and professional; well-dressed and ready to accommodate all guests who walk through the door. . The restaurant has done a great job with their interior décor, keeping it simple with neutral colors and clean. But, in my humble opinion, the exteriors would benefit with a new look and façade. Also, their interior air conditioner was on full blast which makes it colder than normal inside and the food gets colder a lot quicker, so you can’t enjoy it slowly. . • DΛVΞ GΛRCIΛ™ ‘s True Reviews™: ★★★★✫ DINING EXPERIENCE: Casa Cuba 5859 SW 73rd St, South Miami (@casacubamia) TEXT & PHOTOS: © DΛVΞ GΛRCIΛ™ (@davegarciahq). Food is good but way too pricey for two small soups an appetizer and one beer $60. Not sure if I'll come back here.

Lovely bday lunch spot. Food was great. Service friendly and attentive. Ambience was nice. Seems they have music at night and looks like it would be fun times. Lechon Asado on point with a piece of skin for presentation. Picadillo and Palomilla are a bit different than traditional. Everyone satisfied with their meals. Bday flan to finish things off.

Casa Cuba is great for families or an evening out for a couple. It’s noisy, lively, and fun. On weekends they have live music inside (see video) and it’s decorated nicely for the holidays. They have festive lights up all the time. The outside seating is always nice for Miami and if there are sports games on they will turn them on the TV outside for you! They also have a walk up window outside for coffee and a to go window inside for food. Their coffee is amazing, cafe con leche, Cuban coffee, anything coffee is good. Their menu never changes but is always good, simple and with big enough portions that you can take some home the next day. I have not had a bad dessert there. My fav dish is the bronzino fish, and my favorite salad is the one that had a lemon vinaigrette with shaved Parmesan and I add shrimp. The paella is also excellent!! We go here a lot with friends. Parking is $5 valet. Or street parking with pay by app.

I give a star cause if not I can’t write review. We loved going for breakfast, but lately the service stinks they have you seating in a table inside or out side for at least 1/2 hour telling u they will be right with you . Then they come to the table cause you told the Busboy to get your server & once they they finally come you start placing your order & they tell you sorry it’s been too long and they ran out of breakfast bacon🤔😠 well that’s not my problem , really how long does it take to throw four pieces of bacon on a grill !when you were the one who had me sitting a half an hour at the table. Trust me it is full for breakfast but most people get up and leave because of the incredible bad service from the waiters and waitresses. I believe this is bad management they don’t walk around and look at what’s going on they don’t notice that there’s people that been sitting at the table for 30 in 45 minutes they could make it such a great place to eat but obviously they don’t care.

Food was well made and decent tasting. The appetizer of fried pork was the best. The restaurant is cool inside and well maintained. However, the server was extremely pushy and corrected everything we said. She would take cups out of our hands while we were still using them. I was trying to decide on a drink to order and she kept saying i wanted a mojito....no, I dont. I ordered a shot of vodka and she didnt seem to understand what I wanted at first...but charged me $12 for it, which is more than the specialty cocktails. She kept trying to hurry us up to order even though the restaurant was basically empty. She also would stand next to our table and watch us eat, it was very awkward. At the end she gave us the check and stood tapping her nails waiting for me to pay. She watched me use the portable credit card machine and as I was putting the tip in and she grabbed the machine out of my hand and told me to sign it while I was still thinking about what to tip. She had absolutely no patience whatsoever. I almost asked it back from her so I could delete the tip.

Always great food, but if you don’t know Spanish it can make it a bit hard to order. Needless to say it is the best breakfast spot in in town. If you like coffee, make sure you order a cafe’ con leche. Put a couple packs of brown sugar in and then bam you are in business. Every time I’m in town I come to this restaurant for one reason. The quality of food and coffee. This restaurant is also a great spot to mingle and meet people. Get out there and enjoy some delicious Cuban food and coffee.

Thanks so much for accommodating my family for my cousin's graduation! I appreciate your patience with all the back and forth with our reservation. I especially appreciate that you accommodated our party of 20 on such short notice and took really good care of us. And your food was delicious! We enjoyed our visit!

I came for father's day with my boyfriend's family. The service is very slow. I got the Pollo a la Melanesia. It was good. Nothing amazing. I never got my cafe con leche I ordered. The waiter seemed a little annoyed that me and my boyfriend shared a dish. The food overall was good according to everyone in the party. Except one person in our party got rotten meat served. It smelled and tasted horrible. The dish was remade and came out better. I personally wouldn't come back.

Great service and live music on Saturday night. Valet parking is convenient at $5. The arroz imperial was delivious and so was the Mojito.

I went here for breakfast at open. I have absolutely no complains about this place for breakfast. The price and quantities were not bad at all considering the times we are living in. My eggs and home fries were amazing. The croquetas were also delicious and has a slite bacon flavor. My tostadas and cafe con leche were also on point. The tmosphere in this place is great with all of the floral tiles covering half the walls and the mosaic work on the tables. Service was great also. Our food came out pretty quick. Just keep in mind were were probably the only ones there at the time. Great spot!

We had a great lunch on the patio. I had the best Mojito I've ever had. Free Valet parking.

The food has been excellent lately. The service has also improved except if you have a large group (6 or more) and they sit you in the back. Last visit there was a table of 16, a table of 12 and our group of 8, and they had only one (1) waiter for all three tables. An impossible task for one person. Talking to the manager not very productive.

I can only speak about what I ate that evening, it was the Cortina dish, dish was not very seasoned and it was dry when it was supposed to be in a garlic butter sauce, wife had surf and turf and the stake was nice and tender but then again lack of season so we were not impressed as our son and his girlfriend took us there and they were impressed the first time they went there. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, servers were very attentive. Would have gotten a 5 star from me if the food was better for the price we paid.

I was SO disappointed with our visit here today. The plantains tasted old/stale. The waitress never checked on us. We ran out of water and I had to get up and get the attention of one of the guys who were cleaning so we could get more water. The place only had 3 other tables. It was not busy so there is no excuse for this terrible service. Our waitress was sitting at the bar behind us chatting with coworkers. I didnt get her name but she was blonde. Honestly regretted our choice. So for those of you reading this review please take your money where you'll be given fresh delicious food and great service, not here.

The breakfast there is always good, fast friendly service and always fresh from the kitchen, straight to your table. If you want breakfast with great service for yourself or a few associates and you run a tight schedule, this is the type of place you want to go.

The food was good, portions could have been a bit better for the price, specially the palomilla steak. The breads were hard as rocks. Atmosphere was pleasant, service was okay.

We have been coming to this location for years, and the name changes and staff does also. The food was good. not great. If you don't speak Spanish, it is a challenge, and service was slow. Very few wait staff. Sad cause it could be great. some things came out under cooked or raw. Overall, the evening was good and food was delicious . Just not everyone was served at the same time. Some were served so late they took it home.

This is epitomy of Miami hospitality! Delicious food and relaxed, excellent service. The prices are super fair and they go above and beyond with how they treat you. Thank you , Casa Cuba, for reminding me of the best of home❤️ Mil gracias a Pedro, por servirnos con tanto cariño y empeño. Nos hizo sentir en casa❤️❤️❤️ ¡Gracias!

The service was very good; our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and promoted all the specials. The Serrano ham croquettes were divine! The rest of our meal was good, but fairly standard for a Cuban restaurant. (It's our opinion this is really a La Carreta in disguise. That isn't a bad thing, just saying. The menu is exactly the same and the food recipes tasted almost identical to our local one.)

I'm used to came this place on weekends for dinner and enjoy the live music. But today, should be my last time at this place. The food was bad cooked, the service was so stressed. Any question to the services was answered with excuses and not solutions. You notice a lot changes in the personnel, the ambience and even a fewer customers attending the place. So sorry because I've passed enjoyable time in the past here
