McDonald's was quite good. The food was lovely. The service was good. My large fries were missed from my order and the children were given toys instead of books but we soon got them swapped round. There was a wheelchair accessible entrance and disabled parking outside. There were also disabled toilets. They also had computer tablets for the children to play.

First of all, I couldn't believe how busy it was between 10pm and 11pm. Not in terms of queueing, but the car park was pretty full and there were plenty of people sat inside and out. Despite being "in the sticks", they seem to draw an equivalent crowd to any motorway version at this time of night. Who knew?! The placed was clean, and staff were helpful and polite, without being full of the joys of spring. The food is obviously standard McDonald's fare. You've either got to love it, have a hangover, or like me, be paying your annual visit. A year is just about long enough to forget why you haven't been for so long. I mean, it doesn't fill a hole for long and it's not exactly fine dining, but we all know that and it's still as popular as ever. So they're clearly doing something right, to keep a loyal customer base. All in all, if you enjoy what's on the menu, or are desperate for something to eat, it's worth stopping off at. If you're like me, and it's just too late to be bothered to cook something yourself, suck up the overall blandness of the food, or plan your day better. There's always a choice. PS. Whenever I'm on the road, I do always recommend their coffee. Far superior to the watery Starbucks option, and the overrated Costa.

Even though it was really busy and the drive through was packed, the service and staff were great! We ate in and used table service, the food arrived quickly and was hot. As soon as we left we saw the staff immediately clean the table. Probably the best overall service at a macdonalds.

Last 4 meals l have ordered have been clumsily assembled and cold at point of handover, last two l have had to wait for a drive thru order, then it comes up cold. Today again told l had to wait and joined a queue of 6 cars all waiting! After 5 minutes still no food for the first in line, l estimated l would be waiting 20 or so minutes. Went and got a refund, they should not be taking money for orders they cannot fulfill.

The car park is a great size. The drive thru is easy to navigate. The staff were friendly. The food is what you'd expect from any McDonald's. You can get a lot of chavs and boy racers which let it down, but that's not McDonald's fault. Other than that, it is a decent branch.

One of the newest of McDonald's I have been too ,It has a children's play house outside ,a good size outdoor seating area and lot of modern wipe clean table & chairs inside not comfortable but practical (let's face they do not want you too say too long).so all in all I would say very good 👍

Only visited once but service was quick in the drive thru. Food was standard but chips and burger were both nice and hot which was good. I would use again if in the area and needed a quick bite to eat.

An edgy hipster joint that seems to be following the trend of serving burgers on anything but a plate. Instead of a bit of wood or an old roof tile this upscale new eatery serves it's tasty burgers, fries and nuggets through a window in a paper bag. Come at the weekend and there may be some live entertainment in the form of street racing youths with underage girlfriends. 100% recommend for Colchester's genuine foodies.

Food took a while to arrive but was fresh and hot so we were happy at the end. Good for kids too as there are playground and tablets to keep them busy!

I like mcMuffins, especially the bacon. But the meal is ruined (in my opinion) if the enclosing muffin is not toasted as per MaccyD's advertised product description. I've complained, and they are considering my case.

Poor excuse for a McDonald's. The staff are rude and can't even get basic things right, such as cleaning dirty tables in a timely manner. The state of the place looks like a pig sty. I wouldn't dare let customers have to see food on the table when it should be cleaned. The only thing the manager could say was, "They dont have staff to clean after 11pm." That's a really poor excuse, to say the least. Also, the excuses for why they take the condiments trolley away after 10pm is the poorest excuse I've heard in my entire time. I've been a food reviewer. I quote the excuse was for a 24hr McDonald's was "we have to clean that area where it is and also there are some dodgy people who may steal things" but as I see it, it doesn't take all night to do that and as for dodgy people, I say pull the other one it's got bells on it. To conclude, an absolute disgrace to even call itself a McDonald's. I have also submitted photos as evidence. If these issues aren't resolved in a timely manner, I will have no choice but to take it to higher management. All photos provided show dirty tables left for well over an hour, which is not acceptable in any restaurant

Burgers are prepared just like that, without sauces and pickles. The food was cold. Drinks were ordered without ice, but they were given with ice. The manager kindly replaced it. I don't want to visit this establishment anymore.

Absolutely delectable cuisine, I managed to source the finest gourmet hand pummeled beef burger I've ever seen. Accompanied directly by some outstanding hand cut skinny fries, I've never been so impressed by a so-called fast food chain. Simply outstanding. Super soft squishy bun, juicy pickles, delightfully drizzly cheese, bacon and all the salad you could imagine. I'd 100% enjoy this pleasant experience with whoever may care to join me.

The place has changed since it's makeover, its all closed off, the in door is on the roundabout side, and when trying to walk into the building the building, you have to fight with the cars in the queue to cross 2 crossings. The drink I got, was good, my number was in the pickup list, but I still had to wait about 5 mins for my drink. A man was behind the counter, doing nothing, he put together someone's meal, then went back to leaning against the counter, facing the other way. I felt like I was no-one, not even a customer. I am disgusted!
