Best place to eat in Norfolk. Been twice now and absolutely loved it every time, would not hesitate at all to drive 40 mins here! The most amazing vegan/veggie options especially the burgers, the moving mountains patty tastes just like beef and my partner who got the meat burger said mine was better. Does not feel like you’re missing out in the group at all as there’s just as many delicious vegan options. Staff always friendly and pretty decor. Get the booths if you can😍Bringing all my friends here for sure

Seriously? Zak’s is another case of hyper over-charging for absolute low grade slop. Fried pickles were a joke, more like fried pickle skin. Fryer was obviously dirty, batter was dark brown and tasted bitter. Burger patties are disgusting, probably frozen. How hard is it to make a burger? Isn’t that your specialty? Stale, dried out bun. Mine came SWIMMING in BBQ sauce, a massive, inedible mess- cooked to leather when I asked for medium. No cutlery or napkins offered, had to ask for everything. Just careless food, sloppy, and overpriced. Sure, the ice cream sundaes are massive, if that’s your thing. Hard to mess up ice cream. Avoid going for anything else. Won’t be going back, not a chance, when so many other places put care and real value to their food. Big fat zero for Zak’s.

It's been a while since we last frequented Zaks, possibly the first time outside of covid. The food as always was on the money, a consistently reliable meal. Prices are pretty good, but the service was a tad slow even though it wasn't an overly busy evening. We waited ages for menus, ages for drinks but the food was pretty quick. It felt like the business are running staff to thinly. Also feels like they've reduced capacity massively with large open spaces that used to be bustling with tables. Will still go here as the food was great, but the service very much let it down.

I ate here for my work's Christmas do and I can honestly say Zak's is fine. If you like that sort of Americana vibe i.e. burgers, hotdogs, fried chicken stuff, you'll enjoy it. Food - The portions are enormous! I ordered a plate of fried chicken because I'd heard their steaks weren't great and I try to avoid ordering a burger in restaurants. It was fine, not a lot of meat on the thighs, the seasoning was flavourful if not a little bit hard, the fries and beans were fine, definitely from the freezer and a can but it is what it is. It was fine, not exciting but edible. Service - The service was friendly, they asked if I had any allergies, I told them onion and in her defence she did everything right, checked with the kitchen etc, they removed the coleslaw from my meal, it wouldn't have hurt offered some gravy as an alternative or something but it's not the end of the world. She messed up the starters for the table but fixed the issue... Service was fine. Atmosphere - Hyper Americana, it was super loud and bright. Plenty of parking, level access to the restaurant at the side. Broken toilet door on the only stall. Nothing to write home about.

Great food. But exceptionally quiet place mid aftenroon during the week.

We booked a table at short notice and was able to get one. We were politely greeted and shown to our table. Bryony P (I hope this is the right person as its on the receipt, she had black hair). She served us went above and beyond making sure everything was ok and if we had everything we needed. We didnt even wait long for the food and drinks either

First time here and we all really enjoyed it. Massive portions that beat me after I made the mistake of stacking up my burger but it tasted lovely 😍 Wife and young daughter both also enjoyed their meals. The waitress was very good and attentive. There was a slight hiccup with my smother (sauce on fries) not being added so I had to send it back but otherwise it was very good. Not massively expensive either at around £15 for a big burger meal. I'll definitely be back 👌

ZAKS!!! Don’t be fooled by the fairly ‘safe’ frontage, it’s a great place for friends and family to grab some great food and have a good laugh. We’ve been going to Zak’s for years with friends and our family. It’s consistently good in both service and food. (Double stacked Western Burger with sweet potato fries for me please) Service is nearly always swift and always friendly, and they’re very accommodating with kids. Food is served quickly, and it’s tasty! It does get busy, and it does get noisy. If you’re looking for a quiet romantic date, look elsewhere. If you want to get a bunch of friends together and you want a good bite to eat, give Zak’s a go!

Great food but they should have a choice of the size of the fries they serve with their burgers. Ours were huge and two out of our party could have shared theirs.

Wow! We had the most amazing service from the staff at Zak’s this evening. They really went above and beyond for our party of 11, especially our wonderful waitress Nicole. Thank you so much for everything 😊

First visit, quite by chance. Enjoyed the food, pleasant surroundings, friendly service. Good value. Will definitely return.

Food was amazing and the service was great. Our server explained some of the menu we didn't understand (so sorry, I can't remember his name) and was very clear. Lovely atmosphere, not to loud and not to quiet. We all left with full tummys and spoke highly of the food and service on the way home. Would come back again 100%!

Unable to get somewhere closer to home, we came to Zaks Diner, even though we could only get an early table. We are so glad we did. The menu had a great choice of food and drinks. Milkshakes and cocktails were tried and got the thumbs up and then the process of working out which burger to have. There were so many to choose from. I settled for a PB (peanut butter and maple syrup) It was lovely. All the food came out quick and there was no complaints around the table. Our waiter was attentive and all in all we had a lovely time.

Great service, didn't book easily got us a table, food was so nice, we both cleared our plates. Excellent song choices. We didn't realise until the bill came that we came on a deal day and ended up getting 2-4-1 on the burgers so that was a great surprise😊

Absolutely incredible experience at Zak’s Poringland! Atmosphere was lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. The vegan menu was huge with so many super tasty choices, I never knew a peanut butter burger could be so good. Our server, I believe her name was Jem, let us know we could have shakes, pancakes and she’d be able to tweek other desserts for us too! Couldn’t have been served by someone better, she was amazing, we hope we’re served by her again! Please put the other options on the menu so more vegans know, it’ll be a great success! We’ll be back for more soon, thank you Zak’s! 😋

Absolutely amazing! Delicious food, lots of choice, insanely good desserts and really nice staff would really recommend the pecan pie, cookie dough cheesecake and chocolate mountain.

Food was great as ever from Zaks, the portions sizes have been reduced. The burgers used to be really large with the buns etc, now it's just a little bigger than a big mac. Staff friendly well the one we had was. Can't say if they was understaffed or couldn't be bothered, but did take a long time to get a seat even though we had booked, then to get the bill. First time at this Zak's would go again.

Me and my partner are regular customers here. We have two other Zaks closer to home for us, but we will always return to this restaurant because the staff are so friendly and the food is just so much better here. It's our favourite place to come and we highly recommend this Zaks in particular to others. We left this evening after being served by a lovely person called Jemima. She was super duper friendly, and just all round lovely. A real credit to your team at Poringland Zaks. Thanks again guys for a lovely dinner! Will be seeing you all soon 🐷

Went lastnight as a treat for end of Sat's for one of my children, staff were lovely, food was yummy only problem I had was one of the types seats they had there were so uncomfortable , but everything else was perfect.

The food was amazing. Huge servings and really tasty. The vegetarian & vegan options are probably the best I've ever seen. There were so many options for burgers that it was hard to choose. Not a huge range of desserts but what we ordered were very nice. We all enjoyed the food (2 adults 2 children) and will definitely be returning. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the chairs are extremely uncomfortable!! 😐

We booked a table for 12 which was quite cramped. Staff efficient and friendly, just lacked fine details eg: food came out but no cutlery or napkins so had to call waitress over then wait for these while food was getting cold. Asked for sauces which took ages to arrive. Meals were ok, I feel the burgers are not as tasty as they used to be. I had heard they buy them from 'burgers plus' rather than making their own. Burger didnt taste freshly made, more like a processed burger, I wonder if they come in frozen🤔. It's so easy to make homemade burgers so not sure why this cant be done especially when paying £13! Overall we enjoyed the evening but more attention to the basics would be appreciated.
