After going to another Scuba shop that was a nightmare we hesitantly decided to come here. And we were amazed! This shop was the best. Upon entering the shop you see a lot of gear, all organizes nicely, and some displayed in fun ways. We are immediately greeted by a young man who asks what we’re looking for. We explain to him that we are going on a cruise and need some dive equipment. Now as he is doing this there are 2 other individuals directly helping other customers, as those customers finish the other workers come over to help. An older gentleman who seemed more experience (who I believe was the owner) came over and started helping us get fitted for masks. Instead of just pointing to a wall and telling us to try till it fits (like other shops) he looked at our faces and guessed, handing us a mask to try and telling us how to test the fit. He also told us to not put the masks back on the wall so they could clean them between shoppers! He had us try different masks, and when we decided on the best fit and comfort he asked us what color we wanted, they had a large variety of colors in each mask. He then had us try on the specific mask we were planning to buy to ensure it was good. After deciding they took the masks to wash while we moved on to the snorkels. He suggested a snorkel (in matching colors to the masks) and offered a different clip design as an up sell. We agreed and they installed the upgraded snorkel clip for us. He was hesitant to sell us scuba fins seeing as the cruise would provide them, but explaining to him that we would also be doing some snorkeling, and didn’t want to purchase snorkel fins, and then scuba fins when we get back he agreed that it was a good idea and we started fitting for fins. He explained the different type of fins, and asked what type of diving we were going to do, after LISTENING TO US he made a suggestion and told us why he suggested that specific fin. We agreed and we got fitted for the booties. At this point all 3 attendants were helping us, 2 were running around grabbing different sizes to try while the owner was educating us on the gear. They even made sure the booties fit perfectly. We weren’t planning on wetsuits, and we didn’t get any, but they were happy to answer our questions. They also answered our questions about the different breathing gear they had and made their suggestions for future purchases. As we finished up we ended up happily buying all the gear we planned to and a little more. We left feeling more educated and ready for our cruise adventures. They showed us how to properly adjust everything we got, how to apply “spit” properly to the goggles (and no not regular saliva). In short: this was a fun, engaging, and personal shop. It didn’t seem like they were just trying to make a sale. We felt like they cared and listened to our concerns and plans. We will be coming here after our cruise for more training and more gear!

I am sooo glad I took my PADI Open Water training at Adventure West. I did some research and am confident I made the right choice. The instructor was competent, patient, and careful and made us feel secure through every lesson. No shortcuts, they ensured we finished with the skills to dive safely. Facilities and equipment were super clean and well maintained. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent.

By far the best scuba company around. They really take the time to get you knowing your skills. I am always so glad I got certified here and not in Hawaii (where I live) nor another company in Utah. Get certified here if you want to be taught well, hands down. 👏

These guys know their stuff. They don't mess around... and care so much about safety and making sure everyone has a good time. We've done two discovery dives with them, the first just my husband and I, and the second with our five kids. Our ten-year-old needed more rules, like, don't practice taking out your regulator unless you're asked to...(he gave us heart attacks at the bottom of the pool and later said he was practicing...😅.) We love how well they maintain the facility...it is so nice there. Tell your grandparents you want this for Christmas...do it instead of Lagoon...I'm telling you...SO WORTH IT. My kids are very sensitive, nervous, and not sporty at all. They all did just fine and weren't scared after the first initial descent. My tip: if your mask is leaking try another one. I was trying to hold my mask on my nose the entire first descent to keep water from coming in, and the instructor told me not to, thinking I was trying to pop my ears. So I didn't hold the mask on, but then it really flooded and I needed help getting back up. I went down again with a better mask and it made all the difference. I wish I'd had the good mask the whole time...it would have been much more fun! UPDATE: Against all odds (I have really whiny eustachian tubes, and I was very anxious about diving in the crater) I am open water certified. I only did this because my husband wants to scuba and I want to tag along with him. If it weren't for how amazing Rachelle is at teaching, I would have probably given up. But I actually had fun, and conquered a lot of obstacles. It was so much easier than I imagined... the things I was most worried about (quite anxious about!) were no problem at all!! I just laughed when I finished... I can't believe I was so worried. I'm diving in Hawaii this week!!

Great place great people. We did discovery SCUBA and then signed up for open water. We did discover SCUBA with Doug. The class was great and very helpful. We signed up for the full certification right after. We then did our open water with Rachelle. She is amazing. With tons of experience and a great attitude she shaped us into divers expertly. They went over different equipment and options that fit us. Then did an amazing job teaching us to safely dive. I plan to continue my training here. Because they have proven to me they believe in doing it right. Fantastic folks. We'll kept equipment.

Great place, great instructors. My husband and I got our Open Water certification done with Doug, he is very knowledgeable and patient. Doug and his staff was very understanding of our schedule and helped get us certified in time for our trip. Our kids are also taking one on one swimming lesson here. Love this place!

These guys are the best!! I recently got my open water certification through their class. My instructor was Doug who is very experienced and knows his stuff. He is also VERY patient for nervous people who are a bit fearful. I am so glad I went with this dive shop for my certification and instruction.

Doug and team are amazing and lead the best scuba certification experience. Classes were straight forward, there are no hidden fees and the facility is top notch. I feel love with scuba even before stepping foot in the pool. Doug and team passion for scuba is contagious. Best experience ever!
