We recently booked Durban Spice for a private dining experience. First off the ease and communication from Shabs was first class. On the evening, the welcome to us and the rest of our guests was super warm and friendly. Sarah did an excellent job of hosting us and accommodating to all ensuring we all felt at ease. The food was literally incredible, the flavours were even better than the food back home in Durban. Sarah & Shabs did a great job explaining the dishes, their story and how they come to get that real true Durban flavour and spice. Thank you so much, it made for a wonderful evening and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. Wowwwwww!!! My partner (who grew up near Durban!) and I went for a supper club at Durban Spice recently and were absolutely blown away. The food was divine and the atmosphere just perfect; we felt so welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Thank you so much Shabs and Sarah for a wonderful night, and for being so accommodating with my nut allergy. We'll be back for sure. :)

Always excellent! From breyani to bunny chow, Shabs takes us down a 5 star culinary memory lane while Sarah warmly receives each guest into their home, each taking such care that reminds me of a true South African welcome. Highly recommend to those who want to try South African dishes and to South Africans who want a taste of home.

Fabulous evening from start to finish - each dish held it's own and we loved every single one. All dietary requirements were taken into consideration and the chef went above and beyond to create delicious alternatives. The homely and welcoming feel really made the dinner one to remember. We will most definitely be coming back again and highly recommend it to others! Thank you for having us!

Had the pleasure of joining them for Bunny Chow evening last night! The evening was a pure delight! They are wonderful hosts and have perfected their food to a fine art. Would recommend everybody to go.
