Probably one of the nicest and most specious spoons I’ve ever been too (and I’ve been to many)….Never wait too long for service at the bar, always lots of tables, good selection of ales to choose from and food never takes too long to arrive. Floors generally aren’t sticky and even clientele seems better than most spoons. Highly recommended if you want to have food & drink out for a sensible price anywhere in/around Henley

This is by far the best weather spoon I have ever been in. Most of them seem tatty and grubby and the food not good. I had a lovely supprise when I walked into this one. The food was well presented and tasted good. Lovely clean surroundings. Well done to all the staff that work there.

Popped in for lunch with friends. When our food came, which we didn't have to wait to long was cold. So the manager came out and redid our food, which I was impressed by. No problem, and the manager checked twice that we we're happy.

Great little pub tucked away in Henley on Thames good food great atmosphere at certain times. Staff are friendly and helpful just can be extremely packed on Fridays or around lunchtime

Definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bed was so uncomfortable. Bathroom was so tight you had to sit sideways on the toilet to close the door! Receptionist was ignorant and condescending.

We visit Henley for the first time and went for some breakfast in this pub. It was delicious and service was great. Than we decided to come back for lunch. Didn't regret going back. Everything was great. I can just say this place is so clean. No sticky tables, no rubbish everywhere, very spacious too.

What a great spot to stay in Henley. If you’re looking at a weatherspoons you know what you’re in for but this is fantastic. Great large space downstairs both inside and out and pleasant staff that make sure you are happy. Rooms are large with twin beds and a bath and all in all it was a great long weekend. Location is well placed to get a boat on the river or visit other local pubs and shops.

Security was extremely rude and abrupt ID’d for some food (no alcohol was consumed) even some of the staff was rude when i told them about the security definitely lets the brand down!! Updated review 30th June 2022 Tried to charge me £10 to enter absolutely outrageous will be making a complaint

I met some fellow runners in here, the night before our ultra marathon at Chiltern 50 and I have to say the service was fantastic. Ordered drinks on the app.....about 35 seconds later, they were with us. I simply couldn't believe it. Ordered other drinks and they were as quick too. Ordered our meals and the food was absolutely delicious. That was Ordered on the app and came very quick too. Staff are friendly. The place is very clean and huuuge. Cannot fault it at all. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again.

Bought my son some vouchers for Christmas...he & his girlfriend went to eat there at 5pm for food & soft drink (they are 17)...they'd ordered on the app & while waiting for food got told they had to leave as under 18! Yet every Sunday he goes with friends for a breakfast (when alcohol is also sold 9am as it is at 5pm!) after rowing training..& they don't get id'd then! Turning away young people who are NOT ordering alcohol as a restaurant is nuts. It's not against the law to eat in a restaurant at 17 as far as I'm aware!

Really lovely place to stay the family room is really big plenty of room it has a massive bed that you could fit 4 people in it. A sofa bed and a travel cot on request. The bar and restaurant is really nice. Great food and drinks for adults and children menus for both. There is an outdoor seating area some tables and chairs undercover for the shade or a rainy day.

I’ve eaten here many times and used the hotel once. In terms of value for money it’s difficult to argue with! Service is always fast and consistent, staff are happy and friendly. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced and easy going meal/drink while in town then it comes recommended. Hotel room was a little tired but inoffensive. It delivered what was paid for and I wouldn’t hesitate to use again if needed.

Just had a lovely family lunch at the pub. Ordered via the app, drinks is came very quickly and food followed soon afterwards. Very quick service considering how busy the pubs was. Staff all friendly and happy to help…. Well done… great service…

Much appreciated the earlier check in to suit the wedding we were attending. Also the fan in the room which saved us! Plentiful space in the pub for breakfast/brunch/post wedding chat. Brilliant location and drop off space outside great too.

Been in today with my family visiting from PL. We all had fish and chips and everyone was more than satisfied with food quality. Didn't had to wait long and food was more than affordable. Would come back in the future.

Came here for a drink with some mates from school after having our last day before study leave. I had just got there and was sat outside having my first drink when one of the waitresses came outside and told us we couldn't order from the app anymore and we had to go to the bar because some of us were 'too drunk'. From then on, staff continued to offer unwelcoming service, even behind the bar they looked miserable. Then after coming to sit inside, the same waitress came over and told us to stop swearing because the place is a 'family environment'. Wetherspoons is a notorious spot for drinking because of how cheap the drinks are so I was really surprised that we were being scolded for something so silly that surely is something that happens often - there also were no young children around that could have overheard. I then was told to leave for swearing, not having heard what the waitress had said (I was told what she had said after I left). Overall, had a really horrible experience and will not be coming back.

Bar area and garden where very nice. Staff amazing and helpful. The room we stayed in was very dated. Bathroom needs to be modernised. Cob Webb's on ceiling. Stains on bedding. Breakfast was Luke warm

Handy location for Pub in the Park but warning about noise and the room temperature of 105 can get cold. Lift access but lack of disabled rooms as baths in. Beds ok and lots of handy sockets loved the oat milks and complimentary water was good. Handy WiFi..Didn't like the hand wash or shower gel. Water wasn't very hot in sink in the morning. Stayed had breakfast but didn't like the scrambled eggs much. Tomato wasn't cooked enough. recommend this for people travelling to Pub in the park from rail and the 800 bus

Only went for a meal but the ambience was lovely. Large seating area with 2 bars, so no need to queue for long. Usual Wetherspoon menu at higher than usual prices because it's located in Henley on Thames main street just near to the river. Well worth a visit and I hear the bedrooms are very nice too.

I've visited the Catherine Wheel several times with my family of 6 and with friends. Food is affordable, there's a good selection to cater for different tastes and its always enjoyable. Customer service is always excellent - staff members have been more than helpful, friendly and polite. I particularly love being able to get unlimited hot drinks. There is a large restaurant area and it's nice not being sat too close to others due to the tables being nicely spaced out.

Food luke warm again and very small portions. Seems the normal now for weatherspoons. I've started eating and drinking in different pubs now. Shame the company have cut the quality and service to a minimum to save money

We had a very nice time . The atmosphere was excellent and the staff were too. The only thing for me was the steak , which I ordered it medium rare and got a well cooked steak. It was disappointing and I should of said something at the time . I would recommend the gammon and eggs but for me if you like your steak medium rare do not ask for steak. I did love my onion rings. Apart from that it was nice.

First off the velvet striped tub chair I had to sit in was very stained from a lot of food / drinks thrown over it (was dry and as there wasn't an alternative to sit in, I had to use it). I ordered the Turkey dinner. Half of it came still frozen. They replaced it with a luke warm anaemic Steak & Pudding, peas & mash. Which was £4 less than my original order. Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert was much better...hot & tasty. Staff were friendly enough but clearly fraught due to how busy it was. No offer of a refund of the £4 I'd overpaid (I assume as I'd ordered through the app) & I couldn't be bothered to go through the hassle of asking them. I wouldn't eat there again due to the poor quality of the food and lack of care in checking that it's edible but good if you want cheap drinks (they have a huge selection of all types) and quick service & that's all your after. Just don't sit in the larger eating area as it had a canteen feel about it, no atmosphere at all.

very friendly welcoming place in centre of Henley. Food and drink combos available at ver reasonable pricies. Food is basic but still very nice. The Catherine Wheel is a big place with outdoor and seating inside.

Cheap, cheerful and CHIPS. Came here for lunch, a lovely pub in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, busy but good family atmosphere. Food was very reasonable priced, I do love how you can get a alcoholic beverage or an non alcoholic choice. The food portions were very big, not complaining, took it home for my lunch the next day. 😀 Staff were all very helpful and friendly. 💗

Clean and welcoming pub, friendly staff. 1st time ordering on the app and my beer & food was swiftly bought to the table. Very reasonable prices. Bitter in good condition. Food nicely cooked. Would definitely recommend this pub to others.

Really good large Whetherspoons in the town centre. My only gripe with Tim Martin is not allowing dogs even in outside area's. That said as far as the pub is concerned it's an excellent pub. I knock a star off for "No dogs"

Generally a good pub ( and value for money food and drink ) with the benefit of having a hotel attached with clean and tidy rooms . I’ve stayed here a number of times but recommend you always ask for a room at the back as the traffic and deliveries ( draymen )can early and be a bit relentless.

Had the vegan chicken nugget wrap and beyond burger. Burger very nice and succulant. Worth an extra patty. Wrap is ok. Could be more nuggets in but personal preference. Overall satisfied.

Nice and quiet on a Thursday evening. Food was served quickly and was nice and hot. Good prices and my daughter thought it was a very posh restaurant being attached to a hotel. I haven't disillusioned her.

This is a lovely Wetherspoons (hardly what you might normally say I know) however they have got it right here. Its a lovely location and the food is simple but hot and tasty and reasonable. Lots of places to sit and the staff are lovely. Great service and did not disappoint. 5*****

Friendly staff. Room was clean enough, little things like empty soap in bathroom not very clear how to find reception. Several spider webs. Apart from this very nice and I would stay again. And again staff where helpful and welcoming

One of the best Wetherspoons I have visited, the food is cooked beautifully and its always piping hot, unlike some other Wetherspoons. The interior is comfy and there is a lovely pub garden.

Stayed one night as Christmas party in henley. Plus side beer was good and ridiculously cheap £1..59 for a pint of IPA and it was a very nice pint. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't eat as had a Christmas dinner elsewhere, but menu looked cheap and cheerful. 3 stars But probably had the worst night's sleep ever room 204. Room 2 stars max only as it was clean and functional with kettle free tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits. Never a good sign to find a kingsize base and double mattress. The mattress was so uncomfortable I woke up multiple times and had a bad back the next day, the bed was rock hard, but also bumpy and even after a few beers it was hard to get comfortable which tbh I didn't. Rooms are run down and furnishings old and knackered multiple scratches and repairs. Towel rail heated but both soap dispensers only about a third full ( I didn't use them as looked a bit manky). Unfortunately, there is very little accommodation choice in henley so you stay at the Catherine wheel. But the rooms need to be completely refurbished and renovated.

A bit dissappoining quick service but both chicken meals we had were a bit too oily greasy for our liking. We should perhaps had some sides, plenty of chicken but no veg.only chips.

Making a pint of Broadside taste almost the same as a pint of Abbott is quite an achievement but this pub managed it last night. Both were connected by a vinegary flavour and a dead, cloudy appearance. I’m a relatively old bloke now and I can honestly say bad pints are rare but last night I and a colleague copped for two on the trot. Something’s wrong that even the brilliant £2.50 ish price tag doesn’t make up for. Wetherspoons are usually better than this.

Helpful staff, food very good, we enjoyed evening meal and a breakfast, baked beans could of been hotter, otherwise enjoyable.

We had a gathering just before Christmas with our close friends together with our children. We had a wonderful time and staff Judy made it even more special with her friendliness. She was extremely helpful. Thanks Judy, we wish every staff is like you!

I've visited The Catherine Wheel on many occasions as the staff are all very helpful and the choice of food is very good. It's reasonably priced and cooked promptly. The location of The Catherine Wheel is excellent and I have always managed to find a table. The Wetherspoons App is easy to use and very convenient so I would recommend using this for ease.

Located centrally with good accessibility. Everything is clearly signed posted and easy to find. As you would expect from a spoons, food was good and fairly priced and came out promptly. Only gripe would be certain bits of the eating area is very tired/dirty. Next to our table were some offcuts of wood from somewhere and the light fixture was barely giving any light through the grime on it. Having said that the toilets were very clean. So just needs a tidy up.

Just popped in for meals & drinks Good food. Very reasonable prices. Great service. Accidentally left a bag but they immediately spotted it & kept it.

Visited on a Thursday lunchtime, used the app to order food after finding a table quite quickly. Food arrived pretty quickly, was typical pub grub, a biggish portion and tasty with it. The Pepsi Max was a bit syrupy but that's the nature of the beast. Will definitely visit again as standards are much better that the last time we visited a (different) 'Spoons.
