This
was
my
eighth
stay
at
the
Bissell
House
—and
my
first
review.
The
staff
of
the
Bissell
House
really
work
hard
to
make
your
experience
fantastic.
Janet,
who
helps
customers
make
reservations,
is
always
so
responsive
getting
me
the
room
which
best
meets
my
needs
and
answering
my
questions.
Carrie,
who
prepares
breakfast,
thought
to
ask
in
advance
about
food
allergies
and
preferences—and
has
always
come
through
making
something
unique
and
delicious.
Which
says
something
about
her
breadth
after
eight
trips
Will,
who
maintains
the
property,
is
very
welcoming
and
had
always
assisted
me
with
questions
about
the
property.
Including
helping
me
get
set
up
to
the
wifi
which
was
plenty
fast
enough
for
video
conferencing
when
work
required
About
the
House:
Bissell
House
is
located
close
to
downtown
South
Pasadena
so
I
walk
almost
anywhere
when
I
visit.
If
I
choose
not
to
walk,
everything
is
a
short
uber/lyft
ride.
When
you
arrive,
you’ll
be
received
by
a
beautiful
porch
and
enter
through
a
big
craftsman
door.
History
enthusiasts
will
love
the
decor
and
nautical
enthusiasts
will
love
the
house’s
library
which
always
has
the
most
recent
yachting
magazines.
The
rooms
have
a
very
Victorian
feel
with
antique
furniture.
The
house
is
true
to
form
and
doesnt
pretend
to
be
something
it
isn’t.
Bissell
is
the
real
deal.
I’ve
stayed
in
several
different
rooms.
Each
has
a
unique
character.
Travelers
should
definitely
ask
about
the
larger
rooms
if
traveling
as
a
couple
and
single
guests
should
ask
about
the
Rose
room
(a
gem)
on
the
third
floor
overlooking
the
heated
pool.
The
gardens
have
a
subtle
English
feel
which
pairs
nicely
with
the
complimentary
tea
bar.
I’ve
stayed
during
peak
season
when
the
house
was
full.
And
when
I
was
the
only
guest.
the
place
is
always
been
quiet.
And
guests
are
free
to
come
and
go
as
the
please.
The
home
is
definitely
worth
looking
into
and
will
add
an
element
of
character
to
anyone’s
stay
in
Pasadena.
Thanks
for
all
the
great
memories
