Stayed for 3 nights while on a business trip. I actually enjoyed the hotel. It is nothing outstanding however it is clean, lobby looks contemporary, big part of the hotel is undergoing renovation, so at times it gets a little bit loud. Walking distance to 2-3 great restaurants. it's nicely maintained & clean. Staff was also very friendly. Breakfast - reasonable. Overall, if one needs a hotel in this area, this is a recommended option for sure.

We are very disappointed in this property, honestly they should loose their Hyatt Regency name. We checked in for two nights for a local wedding, the sheets on our king size bed had stains and hairs in it. When we asked for our sheets to be changed, the night manager felt like she was accusing us, questioning when we checked in and why we didn’t noticed it earlier. I had to explain to her we just pulled the sheets back prior to going to bed but the fact I had to justify myself was frustrating. We didn’t ask for any special accommodations, we just asked for new sheets. They then explained how housekeeping is closed and they had to find someone to change the sheets. Additionally, all the furniture had stains and dust on it, we had to put towels and clean sheets down to feel comfortable even sitting on it. Looks like they owners recently renovated the lobby but decided to keep the rooms looking like they’re from the 1980s. The hotel rooms are in rough shape, show their age, and unsanitary. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, there are much better options locally for the same price. The only good thing about the hotel is that the front desk and bar staff were kind. But the rooms at this hotel are well below the Hyatt Regency standard.

Good location, proximate to lots of bars and restaurants. Lobby is nice and the hotel breakfast good. BATHROOMS ARE TERRIBLE. Grout is discolored and old, corners of bathroom dirty, tub had painted finish which was lifting… would not stay again based on cleanliness of room. Beds were just ok

It looks like the hotel has spent a lot of money making the front desk and public area look modern and sleek but didn't put as much effort into the rooms. The rooms were a bit dated, and the ceiling had this weird popcorn tiling that looks like it will drip something on you.

Update June 2023 Staying at the Hyatt regency was a perfect location for being close to St Peter’s Hospital where my first grandson was born on June 2nd. The GM and his staff could not have been more helpful, courteous and congratulatory when my grandson was born. It was touching to have a signed card by staff and a nice amenity to celebrate. Abebi the doorman was very helpful with all of our luggage. It was nice to receive an upgrade and the front desk were helpful with restaurants during our week stay. Housekeeping staff were very efficient and cleaned the room always on time. The lobby restaurant was awesome. Complementary coffee in the morning, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very convenient if driving as the Hotel allows for multiple in/out and rarely was there an issue with a parking space. Ops Manager Smith checked in one me and so did GM Johnson. Overall excellent stay. Staff always seemed happy while being efficient and a tribute to the GM. Highly recommend with location, access to excellent restaurants and close to numerous roads leading to shopping, more restaurants. We were able to easily navigate in the area. Definitely would stay again. Thank you GM Johnson and staff for a great stay.

Avoid if possible. I booked a 2 queen size beds for a family of 4. and payed extra for it. On arrival I was told that they gave our room to someone else. I checked in at 10pm and didn’t have any option but to take the room because kids were very tiered. The Manager John, Aguilar was a total a total jerk. Did not even apologize and was very rude during the checkin process. They also charged me additional $25 for the parking which was not made clear at the time of reservation. If hotel gave my room away, they should have called me in advance to let me know so that I would have cancelled my reservation and went somewhere else. Will not recommend this place. Highly disappointed.bunch of thugs running the hotel.

Only one night, but it was very enjoyable. No hassle check in. Clean room with super comfy bed. Great venue for our business meeting. Catering was excellent. Would go there again.

Been at the Hyatt several times, very friendly associates, did their very best to keep things clean and tidy at all times. It is hard when you have two thousand people into a space. However they kept it up. Will continue to require their services for the time being. There are easily found off of route 18 and easily get back on to 18 which leads to route 1 and the turnpike. I just wish Google would have them turn into the parking garage instead of their front door that's no longer their front door.

Hotel was great and one of the better ones. We came for a wedding that weekend and Had an amazing experience with Darius from Human Resources at Hyatt who was able to clear up some mess up regarding our reservations. It started off stressful as we thought we would be out on our butts for the weekend and flying in from out of state was an issue. But it Seeing that we were part of a larger wedding group, he went above and corrected the issue to ensure we were able to check in. Very satisfied with his hospitality and courtesy.

Number one, the staff was not unkind, but also not friendly. One of them incorrectly assumed that I was a delivery person and practically accosted me all because I was carrying a bag of food to my hotel room. And one of the housekeepers even rolled her eyes at me when I asked very customer servicely for wash cloths and tissue. The other one was seemed like she would have been very nice. Now, let's get into the room. LMAOOOO A mess. Just crusty. The remote (it was so ugh, I opted to just watch my laptop for 2 days 😂), phone and coffee table were all dirty. The best thing about the hotel room was the sliding door. That was nice. Next point of pissivity, the Business Center. First things first, when I asked if there was a BC, I was told that there wasn't. There is. But, if I worked there, I'd be embarrassed as well. It was messy and dirty. There were bugs. LMAOOO And to top it all off, the chairs were uncomfortable. 🤣😭 The prices (since when did we start charging people for using the Business Center) were astronomical and totally not befitting of what they were giving. The food was mid, the drinks were expensive and the decor was mismatched and I just didn't enjoy my experience. The saving grace was that it was in a decent area and the food in the surrounding area was tres delish! The pictures I've included are proof that I was there and not just slandering this place randomly or for fun.

Our first stay at this Hyatt Regency, and it did not disappoint even though it is undergoing a complete renovation. We were upgraded to a King Suite (not yet refreshed), and it was fantastic. The room was quiet, large, and will be wonderful after it's renovated. All staff with whom we interacted were wonderful from check-in to garage to restaurant. The only thing I would change is the very "gravelly" interior, including seating and walking areas, of the hot tub: it almost requires the use of shoes and a seat cushion! We most certainly will be back!!

Very nice hotel. Pool area needs attention to the walkways since the floors are uneven and the water just collects and makes it very slippery to walk. We had a room with two double beds which is weird since there was plenty of room for two queen beds. When it’s just you and your wife the beds were really small for two people and when you are celebrating your anniversary you definitely don’t want to sleep in separate beds. We were only passing through the area for one night but if we had time we’d go for a stroll around the area. Many restaurants and shops. Other than that, I would stay here again. Just a different room 😅

The Hyatt Hotel has always been a beautiful hotel. The service is great, and I love rooms with a balcony. However, it's time for them to do something different now, like re-inventing the design internally and making the infrastructure more modern.

This hotel is in a nice corner of New Brunswick; it's walking distance to several restaurants, including Bagel Nosh for a quick breakfast. The building itself is lovely, and the front-desk employees are wonderful and helpful. They were actually very kind and refunded us a night for an early check out, which they weren't required to do. On the negative side, parking is very pricey — I think it's $27/day, which seems nuts to me — and there isn't complimentary breakfast or any snacks. At first I thought the cookies at the front desk were gratis like the ones at DoubleTree, but no, they were selling them — at $5 apiece!! I don't like being nickel and dimed, and I felt this hotel did a lot of that. As far as the rooms go, there are pluses and minuses. I liked the layout. The shower was good and got properly hot. The iron and ironing board were pretty effective, though the iron was a little leaky (of the water for the steam). We had a minifridge, a nice sofa, and a big TV. Unfortunately I hated the bed. The mattress was much too soft, and the pillows didn't hold their shape at all. I woke up half a dozen times overnight with a crick in my neck. If you're aging, like me, this bed is not going to give you the support you need.

I booked a stay for myself, my wife, and 3 young kids (10 yrs and under) for 2 nights in November. I booked a room with 2 queen beds, and there was an option for a rollaway bed. When I checked in, I was told the cot was not available for my room because it posed a fire hazard. There were 3 walls in the room with more than enough room for a cot, so instead my son had to sleep on the dirty loveseat that hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. $27 per night parking even if you're staying there. They had 2 pool sticks in the bar for the pool table, both were broken ($5 tip per stick is all they needed). They offered free coffee on Saturday morning, but not on Sunday. Only option was a $4 small coffee at the restaurant. They add an additional $100 on your credit card at check in for an allowance on purchases within the hotel, instead of charging the card if you do purchase something. The temperature control in the fridge was broken, so a can of seltzer water froze and exploded in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, there aren't many hotel options in the area, but definitely check Heldrich first, the Hyatt should be a last resort.

We stayed for a Dance competition this past weekend. I have a Hyatt membership and was able to stay under an earned night. Check in process was easy, we arrived at 1:35 and asked for early check in, we were told a double bed room would be available in 40 mins (2:15) unfortunately room was still not ready at 2:25 and we needed to be somewhere at 2:45... they were able to give us a single king bed that was very far from the elevator but it was an early check in nonetheless. Parking and elevator access to the hotel was very easy. Pool, hot tub and gym are open 7am-11pm which was very nice for our schedule this weekend. The rooms were recently renovated with sensor lighting for middle of the night movement. A lot of natural light in the room for doing makeup (this is important for competition dance LOL) There were also reading lights built into the headboard to not blind your partner. Room was clean and had a small glass door refrigerator. I was not a fan of the low drawers for clothing but it was a modern look. Bed was very comfortable. Two sized pillows were offered for each side of the bed. A fluffy and flatter which was very nice! Wish an extra set of sheets/blankets were in the room as were needed to share but I am sure this could have been brought up if we had called and requested. By the time we realized we had wanted this, it was too late to request and we were tired. We would definitely stay here again if needed for this area.

Comfortable rooms. Friendly service— except for the breakfast service. Cranky woman berated us for heading straights to the buffet (like most Hyatts) & insisted we to get back behind the host stand and wait. There were plenty of tables and our breakfast was prepaid by our professional organization. Disappointed to deal with pettiness first thing in the morning, especially when staying here on business with a group of 15. The plus is the location— an array restaurants right across the street and a Quick ride to Rutgers New Brunswick.

We stayed here for my daughter's dance convention. We arrived just after check-in time, but our room wasn't quite ready for us yet. The staff handled it wonderfully. Our parking was comped, a fruit plate was delivered to our room, and the manager called my cell phone that evening to make sure that everything was resolved to my satisfaction. They handled it wonderfully! Our room was nicely done with plenty of lighting and outlets to charge devices. The room fridge was very convenient, and our room was close to the common area that housed several microwaves. Most of the renovation appears to be complete, but they were doing some exterior work on lifts outside of our window, so we had to spend more time with the curtains closed than we'd have preferred, but we had a lovely view when the workers weren't working directly outside of our room. The city noises were easy to hear in the room, but perhaps that's part of the exterior work that was going on. Either way, it wasn't terrible, but light sleepers should be aware.

I had a room with a scratch up mirror frame and phone wasn't working. Then, there was strange odors but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom door has a whole in it. Then, notice no couch in the room. The hotel manager transferred me to another room that had plumbing problems in the bathroom. Low water pressure in the shower and the toilet failed to flush on the second day. The refrigerator bar was scratched up. The managers were very attentive to making up for my disappointing stay by credit back a percentage and given extra rewards points to me. I felt well valued as a customer and I will give this hotel another chance in a future stay. I can say that these department managers truly care to provide excellent customer service. God bless them both.

This was my first time staying @ the Hyatt hotel. I wasn't really impressed with the rooms. ( although I think they're renovating soon) upon entering the Hyatt, the lobby looks really nice, but the rooms doesn't quite match up. Also they don't have refrigerators in the rooms. ( that's a must for me if I decided to being any items that require refrigeraton. Other than that, our stay was good.

It's was a fun short notice trip. The pool is great. We had kids and they loved it. Not the best area but stick to the campus and there are a bunch of options. Quick drink, quick bite. Bring the kids somewhere too, ice cream etc, walking distance. Staff is really attentive. Big enough hotel to be able to take care of you quickly but not so big where you left by the wayside. In hotel restaurant is pretty good too. Fun place to sit and relax, grab a lil bite to eat. Just don't go during parents weekend. Lol. Def recommend this place. Love Hyatt's in general.

The location is convenient but that's about it on the positive night. Service did not have our bed preference registered when I checked in even though I called them about I the night before, room had stains on both the wall and the floor, and we were given a room with a horrible view and non-lockable windows even though we were by an outside ledge. Overall not recommended. Edit: found even more stains and the dresser is close to falling apart. This is absolutely awful, avoid at all costs.

I was at this hotel for about thirty hours as a guest of the AnimeNEXT convention. The room was comfortable, and the staff always friendly and helpful in my brief interactions with them. On the negative side, parking was atrocious. I drove around the entire garage before happening on someone leaving. I was also bothered by two issues with the bathroom in the room. One is that the sliding door had no latch or lock. Sharing with female business colleagues created a minor concern. The other is that there were no hooks on which to hang clothes or robe, a bit inconvenient. On the whole it was a good place. My stay was covered by the convention management, so I can't speak to economics.

Don't forget to use Hoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is the best rated in the area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down. Only one night, but it was very enjoyable. No hassle check in. Clean room with super comfy bed. Great venue for our business meeting. Catering was excellent. Would go there again.

Very pleasant room & well serviced by housekeeping Lobby's fine too. My breakfast in the restaurant was somewhat convenient, but pretty ordinary in its good; wish they'd had a brunch (i.e., something later). I had a few problems: 1) I asked at front desk for a taxi one morning, but when I returned to it, after 10-15 minutes waiting in the lobby a few yards away, it appeared they hadn't called for one. 2) I wanted to pick up some food late &, in order, pushed room phone's buttons for Restaurant, Front Desk, Guest Services, & even Room Service. No one ever answered at any of them, so I went downstairs, ordered it & brought it back.

I stayed at this hotel one night as I was in town for an event. Usually when staying at hotels I like it when they make me feel "at home". As soon as I approached the front desk to check in and was greeted by Robbie (not sure of pronouns but will use they out of respect) they welcomed me and made me feel like I was being welcomed to an old friend's home. They made me laugh and quickly learned about them! I haven't had this type of interaction with hotel staff in a while. It made it so special! We did have a minor issue but it did not over shadow the 5 stars that Robbie earned for this hotel. I hope I got their name right! I also interacted with one of the housekeepers and her response to my needs was very nice. Clearly customer service is their priority here!

Very comfortable beds, great shower experience with good water temperature and pressure. Great toiletries. Fridge in room. Mini balconies with an outstanding view! Main areas of the hotel are clean, great aesthetics. Lots 9f comfortable seating to sit and chat or share drinks. Fast elevators with adorable faux succulents in the glass elevator shafts. Main critiques: the hallways and rooms can get humid. Turning up the AC fixes the room situation. There is also noise from the highway.

  • 5/5 B R. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent. Super-clean room, not noisy except for a small amount of noise from traffic outside, kind staff at check-in. Pool very nice, jacuzzi quite spacious and definitely hot enough to relax but a tad bit hotter would be even better. Hours of pool and jacuzzi were great. Nice that they put the on/off button for the jacuzzi jets inside the jacuzzi itself. Yes, there is a parking fee but it is fair. Great job.
