A nice path along the river. It has an industrial feel with the barges in the river and the trains on the other side. There is a decent playground for the children to play on, a dog park and a ball field too. There is plenty to do. Eagles are also spotted along this path.

The playground is open! And it’s amazing!!!! Disability friendly which almost means very stroller friendly! Half rubber matting and half mulch ground. Lots of different jungle gym type of obstacles for the kids. Very cool park. Thanks SSP for making this awesome! No shade right now. Waiting on tables with hopeful umbrellas!!

Very pretty area and trail. Just a little smelly sometimes from the SSP smell :-)

This spot is getting better all the time. SSP has been working over the last few years to add baseball fields and a playground to the dog park and running/biking trails that are already there. It's $20 for an annual pass to the dog park, which is basically a LARGE open, mowed field. They have waste bags stationed all around which is nice. I have seen a water fountain for both people and dogs installed, but have yet to see it working. ?? Also have a section of the dog park fenced off for smaller or shy dogs. Portable toilets are available. Lovely views of the Mississippi. Opposite the river is an active railroad however, which can be noisy, but is also cool to see. Small engine planes land at the nearby St. Paul Municipal airport. You can walk across Concord on the pedestrian bridge to get to Simon's Ravine which is DREAMY - my family's favorite place in SSP! Only thing I wish there were more of at the dog park would be shade trees. They have a few small ones around the perimeter, but if it's a hot or windy/cold day, being out in the open field is not that pleasant. Of course, my dog ALWAYS loves it, so there's that! 😏

One of the more remote locations of St Paul. The roadways are typical to get to but once you're inside it is an oasis. They recently made a brand new park in the area with new landscaping and paved trails. I enjoy the natural buffer and ecology of the area. The history known here at Kaposia Landing is quite astounding. Please visit the Minnesota Historical Society web site to learn more about the area during immigration in the 1800s. Kaposia Landing was in the middle of it all.

A nice overlook across the river. It's not a lush view now, but come autumn I'm sure it will be great. You can also see tug boats working here sometimes. That's pretty cool.

Great walking/biking trails along the Mississippi River. Lots of wide open space, ball fields, playground and large dog park (though I believe you need a permit to use the dog park).

Great place for all types of active families: trails to hike, bike, walk; dog park; playground; sports areas. Go from obviously man-made to a wooded more natural gem of green space.

It is a wonderful set of baseball fields and a beautiful park. There is a huge dog park here also. You have the Mississippi River to the east and the bluffs to the west.

Sunrise and sunset are my favorite time to be here. Kaposia Landing is so big and the sky is so visible here. It's a great place for a date walk, a perfect place for photos, and the dog park is probably great too. I don't have a dog.

Nice open fields, parking and dog exercise areas right on the Robert Piram bike trail between downtown St Paul Harriet Island, South St Paul and Hasting. Nice 25 mile loop counter clockwise.

Nice large off leash area with small agility obstacles. Smaller small dog area has agility stuff too! Playground for human puppies across the parking lot. North end entrance has water available 3 seasons (basically when the pipes won't freeze!) Small dog entrance is only at south end.

To many off leash dogs going into the dog park. To many off leash dogs walking the path around the park. Today my two dogs and I were walking the path around the park and a man and his two dogs were going into the dog park unleashed. The two dogs charged at us barking and growling and the man yelled for his dogs more than 15 times. These dogs were not in control. Thankfully I have two very well behaved dogs. While walking we ran into 4 more dogs off leash on the path. Leash laws need to be enforced.
