Excellent gym with all sorts of amenities. They are very inclusive and make newcomers feel at home. Definitely a better atmosphere than other gyms I’ve been to in Salt Lake. The members range from beginners all the way up to seasoned fighters like Merina and Justin.

Hands down the best mixed martial arts gym in Salt Lake! Alexis and Jake are very educated on technique and will help you to reach your goals. Also just down to earth good people. Highly recommend anyone looking to get into it to give it a try!

One of the best Muay Thai gyms I've ever trained at! I've been training over 8 years and this gym is one of the best, from the overall experience of the coaches to the friendly culture. Each of the coaches have their own styles and experiences, so you get a wide variety of knowledge and focuses while training. There is also an overall excellent attitude and culture to help everyone learn and perform at their best. Alexis manages the gym with enthusiasm and loves what she does - she excels in providing a conducive learning environment and a variety in class scheduling. Whether you're a beginner looking to start training or more experienced and looking to compete, this is the gym to train at!

Jake Paul is an awesome trainer and human. Took a half hour to teach a few things to my kids and I and roll for a round when we showed up on a night with no class. He didn’t have to do anything with us but out of his way to make sure we left the gym with something. Awesome coach and we are grateful.

When our child was bullied at school in December 2022, they wanted something to give them confidence and support. When checked other gyms first before finding SLC Muay Thai on Instagram. We knew immediately that this was the place to be for our child. We saw love, community, support and inclusivity. I emailed Alexis and she invited us down for a visit the next day. Scarlett (our child) is 13 and was nervous and shy but over the last several months we have seen their confidence grow by leaps and bounds. Alexis and her team have done amazing things to help Scarlett feel included and one of the group even though they are a teenager and just beginning. We are sad to be moving to Washington in a few weeks but would recommend SLC Muay Thai to anyone that is looking for a gym that is not your standard cookie cutter gym and welcomes all levels with open arms.

I recently attend a class taught by Alexis and it was great! I learned some new moves and techniques along with lots of stretching which is what my body really needed that day. Alexis is the real deal… she’s caring, fun, and has a magnetic personality! Go try out a class! She will make you feel welcome and at home, even if it’s your first time there!

I have really enjoyed the classes I've taken at SLC Muay Thai. I wanted to check out the vibe at a woman-owned muay thai gym, and I have not been disappointed. Alexis is friendly and knowledgeable, and maintains a great culture at the gym. I've enjoyed working with the other folks who attend - and I love that there is a women-only class on Saturdays. Definitely check it out!

They take you seriously and don't sweep you under the rug. Show up and they'll support you. I've been apart of a toxic gym and THIS IS NOT A TOXIC GYM. The knowledge that all the coaches have is unbelievable. Alexis is the most caring coach in the game and I'm proud to be apart of this camp.

The Salt Lake Muay Thai Gym is by far THE go to gym for Muay Thai in the Salt Lake City area! Alexis and her team of overly qualified instructors provide a smooth teaching environment where the production of quality skills are the outcome. Having moved away from Utah, I base my new gym finds on how closely related to this gym any other gym is. Upon my return to Utah after living, training, and fighting Muay Thai in Thailand I found this gym to be a western equal to my experiences and expectations of my time in Thailand. If you want quality, then you have found your trainers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I've done two classes so far and I'm hooked. I've never enjoyed any kind of excercise but Alexis makes me feel at ease and let me go at my own pace while at the same time challenging me and cheering me on. The space is clean and I always feel so welcome. Do yourself a favor a join a class!

This gym is awesome! I’ve taken classes with Ned and Ian - both great instructors who not only push you but help work on form. I’d recommend this gym to anyone from those who are brand new to the sport to more advanced fighters.

My first time coming in was really nerve racking. I was pretty intimidated, because I’d never take a Muay Thai class. But I was immediately help, class went great, and now I’m hooked. Got a monthly membership! Love this gym.

Best gym EVER! Seriously, the coaches know what they’re talking about and are so helpful! Whether you’re a beginner with no experience, or someone who’s been doing martial arts for years, they know how to help you become a better version of yourself. I‘ve been training here for 5 years and I learn something new every day. You’ll be pushed out of your comfort zone, but you’ll never be made to feel uncomfortable. This place is my second home and my team is my second family.

I love this gym and all of the people there! Such a great community and atmosphere. I’ve been stationed in Kansas for a couple years now but everytime I come back to SLC training a session or two here is always one of the highlights of my visit! Can’t wait to move back and train daily with the group again. Excited to train along side “The Shieldmaiden”
