    I'm not sure how many of you are patients at this GP surgery, but I've only had to visit them on rare occasion and I've generally felt that the reception staff are consistently unfriendly - I mean what ever happened to service with a smile, or being made to feel welcomed and cared for (especially as many visitors to the surgery are unwell patients). The patient journey starts with a conversation at the front desk which in my honest and humble opinion doesn't get off to the best start. I've not seen any difference in demeanor or attitude of the seniors/managers in the practice either so the issue may stem from higher up in the management chain. Forgive me for my comments if the majority of attendees on this platform have received good service, but being a medic myself and having worked in the healthcare industry for over 20yrs now, I would be very disappointed with myself as a human being if I offered the same attitude/approach to my patients 🙏🏼. There happened to be a patient just after me who came in to ask to renew her prescription, and the response from the receptionist was so curt and abrupt - the whole process seemed to feel like the receptionist was doing the patient a favour, no pleasantries or courtesy. The patient was so polite as well. I really feel they should be taken to task. There's no one person who seems to be responsible or accountable for the practice, not even the practice manager who hides behind closed doors and is usually "not available" or "busy" to see anyone in person.... really look forward to hearing others comments and experiences at this practice 🌸

    Really appreciate the doctors and staff. The work hard for us to try and look after us. My, doctor, Dr Lloyd has been great in the many years I have been with Ridgeway surgery. Sure, nothing is perfect ever , but we cant treat human beings like robots, so not sure I agree with all the negative reviews here ( mostly about getting an appointment!). People need to be know that GP surgeries are currently (and in general) over-subscribed and there as there is a high demand in the community. I'm sure they do their best.

    I completely agree with an earlier review regards patient access, this abysmal excuse for a surgery establishes an online system, only for it to be open for 15minutes! They then advise what to do if their online system 'isn't open' - this must be the ONLY surgery globally which actually attempts to 'shut down' an online portal within 15 minutes! Hey, patients, the internet is open for 15 minutes today at 7:45AM - so, be quick ??? Bizarre! Taxpayers fund this?? Their next suggested steps are to then telephone the surgery at 8am! Precisely what their online 'patches' systems was designed to avoid - lengthy telephone queues? Thereafter one is advised, if you can't access Patches (because the volume of users is inevitably so high and the system is only 'open' for 15 minutes), and one can't get through via telephone because technically, erm, they don't take telephone calls (BTW, they advised this after a lengthy wait, hanging on their telephone line which they do actually answer....) Bizarre! Did I already state that? Or, did they just tell me they don't take telephone calls but when they did answer, they were answering my call, only to tell me they don't take telephone calls...oh and when they do they direct you to the Patches system again, the one that's open from 7:45am for 15minutes. Finally, they advise that if one isn't able to book in the 15minute window when the Ridgeway Surgery decides the internet can be open, or they don't answer calls, not the calls they do actually answer I presume (the other ones!), then one is advised to walk into the clinic to make an appointment at 8am. Doh!!! So much for the brilliance of the medical and administrative teams at the wonderful 21st Century (Harrow) Ridgeway Surgery - well done and thank you for single-handedly driving upwards the mental health fatigue of all of your patients with your fantastic ingenuity, care and effectiveness .....Hurrah!

    They open the PATCHs system at 7:45 am, only for it to be unavailable by 8:00 am. Why can't they keep it open throughout the day? It is simple maths - the number of your patients in a particular day is going to be the same. If your online access window is only 15 min a day, everyone will then queue on phone lines. Conversely, if you allow people to write about their problems through the day, you can prioritize the urgent ones yourself.

    In response to these negative comments, I am actually very surprised after being at this surgery for many years, seeing many different doctors (apart from one) i have never experienced this. In addition compared to my familys GP experience with many other surgery all over the uk. I as well as them believe this is one of the best GP practice there are. Guys although I can empathise in some ways, only because I dont know your situation. Have you considered that the problem could be you?, in life we often get back what we put in, what may appear rude to you could simple be, misconception, prejudice or even language Barriers, which other country will you go and get free NHS. Be grateful and just be nice it often comes back to you, or better try working behind the desk. All this complaining is unecessary sometimes, or better still find another practice.

    A Big Thank you to Dr. Dalal. To treat my injury and infection after a very poor treatment provided by northwick park A&E department. I know surgery service has gone so down but i was in good hands and been treated well. God bless you Dr. Dalal.

    Service at this surgery has deteriorated considerably. Despite several requests changes to prescription have not been made. Visits to surgery and urgent requests on behalf of relative have not Ben met.

    I have been a patient for over 10 years. I need to make appointments sometimes and have no issue making appointments with whatever system is currently available. I get a response that day, and get an appointment that day or if it is with my preferred doctor I might need to wait for a few days. The doctors also book in follow ups as needed. I also have no issues getting a blood test and the results come back quickly. I have found there level of response to be very high and it did not change in the pandemic. If the issue can't be resolved by their online booking system, the reception staff are happy to try and help and sometimes there's no wait!
