Lovely hotel, bigger than the façade suggests. Spent one night here with a colleague as we were in London and working the next day. The room was very clean with a nice en-suite and the front desk staff were brilliant, making check-in very easy. The associated pub has a great selection of beer / wine etc and the food was superb for a hostelry of this calibre. I had the fish and chips, it was lovely, beautifully cooked and had just the right amount of crunch. Overnight the room I had was quiet and warm and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The English breakfast the next morning was lovely and set me up for the day. Will definitely re-book if I'm down in that area again.

Very comfortable hotel and pub. Rooms are very well maintained and services are also very good. The double bunker kids' bed was very well decorated and the double bed too was comfortable. The location is also very good very near Brunel University and Uxbridge High Street. I enjoyed my stay with my family and would definitely recommend it for my friends and future use.

Went for lunch. Staff charming and efficient. Beer v good. Unfortunately lunch didn't have that 'home cooked' quality about it. Looked and tasted like something I could have bought in a supermarket and microwaved it myself. Sorry Red lion but for the price I was expecting something better.

Very good Cornish Orchards cider. Staff a little disgruntled at having to tend to the little angled bar Uxbridge side. I would prefer not to have heard it as I'm paying over £5 a pint. BUT. nice atmosphere, nice pub, very English and very traditional. Wallet laying on the table for 30 minutes and not touched. Toilets very clean. Only reason for the one lost star is the grumbling staff. We all have problems. Please don't share yours.

Trying out pubs in the area and came here for a Sunday lunch. It was ok, the food wasn’t outstanding, just a standard pub roast dinner. The staff were super, really nice and attentive. 5 stars for them.

Lovely old hotel and restaurant. The outstanding asset is the excellent staff. On a previous visit we were mistakenly late for breakfast but they still served us willingly and with a smile. They are always patient and helpful whatever the demands on them.

As usual, a good choice for catching a flight from Heathrow the next day. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, but the air conditioning was not working in the building during our stay last night, on a very warm evening. Parking is a big problem, so you have to be creative. Dinner and breakfast were very good.

Excellent value for money. Large, spacious, comfortable, clean room and bathroom. I would have given the room rating five stars but the bathroom didn't have any heating. The menu choices were great and value for money as discounted when you stay there. The car park was a bit tight as workmen were parked there in vans but normally ok I would presume. The hotel is near to the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines giving easy access to London. I would recommend this hotel and restaurant.

Given the close proximity to a major and busy road the rooms were remarkably quiet I wasn't disturbed by either emergency vehicles screaming by (and there were quite a few) or even the church bells practicing next door! Comfortable, clean with helpful staff. I always enjoy a building with character, especially when the surrounding area, aside from the church, offers little. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent (although my evening meal was quite small). Would stay again.

We had a lovely evening of drinks with friends at the Red Lion. The bar area is comfy with lots of seating. A good selection of drinks behind the bar, and I enjoyed several pints of London Pride and ESB. Staff were friendly, and it was lovely to have an open fire in the pub as well.

Lovely place to stay with exceptionally clean and spacious rooms. Fabulous restaurant with a good menu. Friendly and helpful staff. Having transited through Heathrow for many years now we have always stayed around paddington due to the rail connections. However over the last 5 years we have found most of the rooms to be very low standard despite paying more than £150 per night. The Red Lion is on a completely different level by comparison and for a very reasonable price. Very much recommended.

We stayed here for just one night. Beds are comfy rooms are clean and tidy. Staff on reception was also lovely. Breakfast food was lovely but there was one member of staff (man) as the girls was so polite made you feel like you was an inconvenience breakfast was served between 8-10am we got there about 9.25am and he made us feel like we had got there at 10am. We had to wait for a table which was not a problem but when we was seated the table was not set up properly we had to keep on asking for things Milk spoons the girl realized there was no side plates and we had to ask for our toast twice. Maybe it was a busy morning

Top beers are usually off , all very basic and caters for the masses , food is …. Welll very basic , just food , wouldn’t bother making any special detours to go there for the menu , usual pub grub cafe food , beer battered cod , burgers of all descriptions, some weird old curry the chef thinks tastes good ( not ) and a load of overpriced ice cream and sweets . ESB is good the few days a month they can be bothered to rack it ……… bottled Chiswick bitters ie golden pride , ESB , 1884 sold in bottles and ice cold from a fridge would you believe it , shame it was sold to Asahi Japanese firm a while ago , they really just don’t understand the traditional British local that the pub prophets to be .

We stayed for a night with the family. Excellent service. About 15 minutes away from Heathrow. Historical place. Our room was renovated. Comfortable, cozy, beautiful. The breakfast at the restaurant was also really nice. There is a church and a park across the street which offered us a nice walk and a break with the kids before our long flight back home. I would love to come back and stay longer and explore the area more.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was really good, especially the breakfast. For £140 per night I was expecting a little more of my room. It was dated and needed needed some attention, overall we had a great stay.

Decent rooms, free parking area, good food, most of all helpful staff. We stayed in this hotel two weeks ago, we chose to come back to this hotel again because of Tihana welcoming and helping us out of her way, so we can enjoy our stay. We were so happy to see her again and she was helpful just like before. I recommend this hotel, you will not regret it.

Get the King Charles room. This inn has been around 380+ years. The King Charles room, one of only two original rooms, is quite large with a view of the church yard. It has a covered 4-poster bed that was very comfortable. The heating system was turned off for the summer season, but summer clearly didn’t get the memo. So, thankfully, they had very effective space heaters available. The completely redecorated bathroom was practically a shrine with a huge tub and showed cabinet. The food in the restaurant was okay, but not thrilling.

Lovely hotel, perfect for a couple of days stopover if you're in the area. The breakfast in particular is great. Recommend the home made granola - amazing!

Second time we have stated at this amazing Fullers pub/ hotel and we will definitely be coming back! Service is amazing, bar manager (didn’t get his name) was brilliant finding us a table in the popular bar area and was so knowledgable about the local area, and local Beers. Gungeeta was outstanding, she told us about a famous local waffle restaurant (Gooey Waffles) and helped us get around the local area. Nothing was too much trouble and she looked after us brilliantly. Hotel is in a great location and very reasonable prices. Thank you to the Red Lion Hotel team!

This hotel is so lovely, the ultimate British experience. Friendly staff, insanely delicious breakfast and the peace and quiet you need after a loud and buzzy day in London. Maybe a bit far from the nearest tube station but no problem getting an Uber to get you there. Recommend it!

Last night my daughter took me to Red Lion in Hilingdon for my birthday meal, the food was excellent and the staff superb, Elaine and a young man I belive called Billy were so caring, and knowing it was my birthday, gave us both an extra complimentary glass of wine. They are a credit to the company. Thank you so much.

When we arrived, the lift was out, so was the AC. They upgraded us to an excellent room on the first floor in the original portion of the building. Staff were very helpful and the room was completely awesome.

A very nice place to stay. Nice rooms with complementary fridge, yes, you actually get a free beer, wine. Room included a proper coffee maker and coffee selection. Staff were fantastic and happy to help. Good restaurant food and a great bar. (They almost lost a star due to lack of hot water one day, but they volentarily offered a part-refund so they keep the 5th star)

What a gem and a wonderful place to stay. Lovely unexpected bonus of a free drink in the pub and discount off our meal. Lovely rooms, knowledge staff and they make a mean long island iced tea.

Stayed 2 nights at The Red Lion, very friendly from housekeeping, to bar staff to front desk. Yana & Sam at the front desk went the extra mile to help me get my phone charged. The assistant manager also gave me some post-jubilee Union Jack flags to give out on my return home. Great patio, fine good & great fish n chips shop right across the street. Recommended!

Solo traveller here for 1 night with work. Set in a nice suburb it's in a good location and easy accessible. Service has been impeccable. Rooms are clean and spacious, as mentioned by another comment, surprisingly quiet. Lovely pub and restaurant. I guess the only negative is, while the food was tasty, it was a relatively small portion compared to the price. Typical gastropub I guess, using posh names for basic food then charging more! All in all I highly recommend and will stay again if I'm in the area.

Our 4 nights stay was my best hotel experience I've ever had. Rooms are amazing: comfortable beds, lots of space, bathroom is huge, clean. Room service absolutely perfect, every day had cleaning, new towels, coffee pods, etc.. and the kitchen is omg.. breakfast was very delicious didn't miss any. We had dinner once, steak and burger really good and the Guinness is non plus ultra:) Definitely will come back. The staff very friendly and always helpful. Also free parking with CCTV! Highly recommended.

My mother was recently admitted to the ICU in Hillingdon Hospital with a very serious and sudden illness. My father and I do not live in London (he lives in Canada and I live in Southampton) and we picked The Red Lion Hotel as it was within walking distance to the hospital and had immediate availability. It was a choice made at random from a google search but we could not have made a better decision. My mother’s condition was very uncertain and over the next 3 weeks there were many ups and downs. Every few days my father was due to check out and had to ask the front desk if he could stay a couple more. I shuttled back and forth between London and Southampton, sometimes on my own and sometimes with 2 small children, booking rooms last minute each time as updates came in from the doctor. Through all of this the entire staff were incredibly kind and compassionate, and more than accommodating of our constantly changing plans. They went above and beyond to make a very difficult time as easy as possible, especially for my father who was so far from home. The proximity to the Red Lion Pub was an added bonus, after long afternoons/evenings spent visiting the ICU we did not need to think about where to find something to eat, the pub was right next door with excellent food and service. I highly recommend a stay at the Red Lion Hotel, whether for family holidays (the very large family room with bunk beds was a big hit with the 2 and 5 year olds) or for visits to in-patients at Hillingdon Hospital. My sincerest thank you to the entire staff.
