I love this part of Southampton it's like the rest. People love to help. Many thanks to Shirley Baptist Church. I loved my food bank item. Wednesday and Thursday 10 am till 3 pm.

It's maybe a good visit instead of the main Southampton main town but alot of good shops are closing as it's the sign of the bad times at this moment in time which in my opinion will be getting worse in the future big companies now are even going down the pan including Wilco's yes Wilco's it's very sad times like me I like to go to the shops not shop on line but now it's getting very doubtful if the good shops will be still around in this day and age 🤞

It's shirley, can't say much, some small shops, many charity shops , frustrated pedestrians, cars zooming , total chaos , the regular works of a standard run down area of any English city. You can find lots of free parking behind the high street in parking areas on each side of the road , high street isn't the easiest place to park. I always avoid driving down the actual high street as fearless pedestrians will just launch themselves on the road to cross , like a video game , only here it's real people. I find portswood or above bar street a better choice for similar shops.

Every thing is on hand in Shirley. A selection of good schools.Pubs and lots of charity shops to browse round. Every Thursday is market day, fruit and veg, butcher vans selling £20 packs of meat.

Variety of charity shops however it would be good to see some more classier shops and less betting facilities

I went into the post office where I was served by a rude and unhelpful woman. It was my first time in that post office and definitely my last!

Small selection of various shops. Sainsbury's being the main attraction. Shirley library can be found here. There is a street market on Thursdays.

Outdoor seating area, Market during certain days selling meat, fish and clothes etc. A good couple of charity shops and other shops plus the Windsor Arms and Salisbury Arms round the corner

Different shops than Southampton city centre so a nice alternative, although too many barbers/hairdressers.

This place just seems to have been left to rot. The majority of shops are targeting the lower incomes, betting shops, fast food etc... Not the nicest area to walk around, generally rubbish everywhere and too well kept. There are a number of empty shops all around. It is certainly no Oxford Street. The only reason I ever visit is for Sainsburys.

I won't catch 4 bus from here as it was full it's much easier to go right into town then you can guarantee a seat on the bus back !!

Good for normal shops. Free parking in most areas but usually busy.

Good range of shops in Shirley all within walking distance of the car parks at the rear of them, wide paths on both sides of the high street and a few pedestrian crossings makes for a nice experience.

It has plenty of shops. Shame that the locksmiths has gone. Totally understandable, as there seems to be a Timpson's everywhere now.

Fine if your local, but not worth venturing to unless you like charity shops. Best keep to the city centre

Lots of shops in the area, however it could do with some funding to make the surrounding area nicer and more welcoming.

Doesn't feel like the safest area even in daylight. I understand there are lots of plans to revamp the area 🤞 it drives the drugs etc further afield

Don't be snooty here. Have an open mind. The people are brilliant. Don't offer the lady beggar a kebab though....
