Oh dear , fri20oct , what a state portswood js as become , first now more expensive than Waitrose , walkway completely a disaster not working , lifts overcrowded now , no staff , and ones there talking /gossiping amongst them selves . Oh yes beware the roof is leaking as well they have hoses coming down and into buckets 😂 check your goods I found damp packaging !!!!! Prices STILL GOING UP ! this store aims for the Chinese students with there bugling bank balances , plenty of ironing boards , been told this by a worker, out in warehouse . Today again cardboard boxes all over the floor why is this ??? No staff to transfer goods from cardboard boxes to shelves , maybe ?we the customer got to open the boxes ??? If we want goods ?? Next we will be in the loading dock unloading the trucks from Basingstoke ? Lastly beware of ALL the extra pallets of Christmas goods in the walkway soon it will be one way traffic going down the aisles ? A great customer experience no sorry , a joke store .

Even on a busy day they only have 2 checkouts open. They want everyone to scan their shopping, so do the job of a shop worker. Yet there are only 4 scan machines, that generally only have 3 working. Then to top it all they check up to make sure you've scanned everything because they have no staff..... what a joke

I'm horrified, upset! Before going into Portswood Sainsbury's I shopped at Aldi then pound shop. So when entering Sainsbury's I was carrying 1 bag of shopping. I went to Argos to collect my items I ordered online. Now I have 2 bags of shopping, I go into Sainsbury's supermarket not knowing or can't decide what i want for dinner. I needed to use the toilet, then went back into supermarket. I did notice female member of staff giving me a stern look when she past me. I've decided what I want and go to self-service checkout, i pay and make my way to exit shop. Sercerty stopped me and asked to look in shopping bag's. I put my bag's down and said go a head. He asked what was in one of my bag's, I replied it's an iron which I have just collected from Argos. He asked for proof of receipt, wasn't a problem so I got my phone out to show him. In the mean while that female member of staff I past earlier that gave me stern look came and stood with us. After showing proof of purchase the security guard said it was just strange I went back in to shop again. Absolute rubbish! The female member of staff got it wrong and I had no apology. I am puzzled as he didn't ask for receipt for any of the food, just for the iron that I purchased from Argos CAN'T STEAL FROM ARGOS CAN YOU?! You need to sort your staff out, and make sure they have facts right before reporting to sercerty

Found most things on my list. Feel very sorry for staff here as they have taken away the personal side of things and replaced with "up to date" technology, will only use when xmas is looming

Perfect location in Portswood always seem to have stock of everything we need, the cafe has recently closed but loads on the hight street a few minutes away. For convenience they even have an Argos on site.

I’ve used this branch of Sainsburys occasionally over the last few years. I would use it more often if I didn’t find it so frustrating! The issues I have with this branch are (1) difficulty in finding what I want. I don’t have the same problem in other supermarkets/branches but, for some reason, I often struggle to find what I want in this branch. (2) Often doesn’t have the goods I am looking for (nothing particularly exotic; recent examples are rubber gloves (in size “L”) and cardamom pods). (3) Arrangement of goods on shelves is often untidy and haphazard. (4) Often find prices are not shown on shelves or are positioned ambiguously (so it is not immediately clear which product/size the price refers to.

Be care-full on self check out. I didn’t took receipt few times till now, and I observed was added few extra products. Stuff what wasn’t on screen at all, because as excuse was said someone was before me, but how I said, on screen wasn’t any other products then mine.

It’s my favourite shop, I get everything I need there and now having club card saves me a lot of money!!!

There are vast range of collections available, very good supermarket with many more isles and sections stocked up with lots of good and best products. The sainsbury supermarket provides nectar points which can be collected on purchases by scanning your nectar card. Based on the points you can claim rewards and also nectar points works with other partnership stores as well. It's very convenient to the location surround portwood area, Bitten park, waitrose, etcetera. There are amazing offers at many occasions, never miss them because it's more affordable to buy at correct time. They also offere online services which are useful to get notified about the combos and offers. If you are looking for good quality products then sainsbury is one of the best stores you can visit and they are stocked up with new products everyday. The customers service is quite amazing and wonderful maintenence with precise supervision, The staff members are really friendly and will help to find any products and will guide us on the product's allergens. To give a overall rating I'll give them 10 / 10, I'm really happy with their cleanliness, stock management and availability of the store at everytime I visited to purchase something and I always find the expected products.

Excellent superstore, amazing variety of products. They have several different international sections and it is possible to find both fresh produce and other products from Eastern, Middle East, Asia, Caribbean, South Africa. Just mind the amount of time you spend there, as the parking is limited to 2h.

Great undercover parking in winter. Shop has plenty of room between aisles.

One of my favourites ,well stocked ,clean and the team is wonderful. My only objection has to do with the toilets as they seem a bit of ,but could be due to the area (in terms lot's of people use them?)

Good sized shop, plenty of space and choice. Had to hunt around for a basket before I started my shop. Four staff by the tills just chatting and laughing, not working. Signage for finding items could be improved.

Haven't visited this store in a number of years but still looks clean and tidy. Argos is easily accessible. I LOVE the sushi counter (I would have bought some if someone had been around to make a custom order). The clothing section is not as large as the one in the Lordshill store but was still fairly reasonable. Car park is a good size so was easy to find parking.

Nice and beautiful environment. Nice and pleasant staff who are ever smiling and willing to help out with all my enquiry and questions.

Nice store. Has the Argos inside which is handy. Good car parking. Recently expanded Ethnic Range in World Foods and Frozen which is great. Always clean and smartshop is brilliant which is quicker, however seem to get checked most of the time which can be frustrating.

Big selection. Large store. Lots of carts and baskets are always available. Rarely are there queues for self checkout and when there are, they move quickly. A good shopping experience overall. Integrated Argos as well. Big vegan selection in both frozen and refrigerated products, as well as shelf products scattered throughout the store.

If I can afford it, I would definitely go there more often. Very impressive selection, very good quality. Quite spacious, even when it was crowded, it didn't feel like I had to squeeze through a lot. I like it.

A member of staff especially came to find me after I’d asked about ice packs a few minutes before. I didn’t get his name but he went out of his way to help. Really good store and an under cover car park which is a bonus!

This is one of my favorite shopping mall. 🛍 It's located in the heart of portswood, very easy to locate. There are different kinds of goods, ranging from foods, drinks, clothing, footwears, skin care products, books, writing materials, traveling bags, and some electrical gadgets. I visit this place quite often and my experience with all the staff working in the mall has always been pleasant 😊. Specifically, there was a day that I had issue with my debit card at payment point, just after shopping, I was attended to calmly for other payment options. Got resolved and I paid for my purchased goods afterwards. 👌 This mall is always clean and tidy and equally welcoming to people of all ages. People who uses Wheelchair can equally do their shopping in this mall independently, however, if assistance is needed, the staff are always willing to help and offer necessary support to customers.

Modern store with plenty of choice. Can also collect eBay deliveries which with free parking is useful. Lost a star because if you have a height 2m+ you have to go in the out lane which can present issues!

Great store, huge variety of items.

Ver good shop, has almost anything I can think of. They need to do more to reduce their plastic packaging however, especially on own brand items.

A good range of food and drink as well as kitchen ware, electronics and clothes. There is a fine selection of free from products and allergies are clearly marked as are vegan and vegetarian options.

Good sized Sainsbury's, everything you'd expect from a Sainsbury's, you'll find here. There's an Argos within the store also, which is very convenient. Their parking is underneath the store so you stay dry in case of rain.

Been using this Sainsbury's for about 3-4 years and have given up. I pop out for some essentials and there's always something they don't have available, the quality of fruit & veg has dropped dramatically too. Cutting into an onion after only 24hrs to find it completely unusable and mouldy is not ideal, and not ideal to drive back to get a few pennies refunded. The cafe that used to be there wasn't bad but has since closed. For convenience, quality and ensuring I get stock I've switched to Ocado who seem to be more reliable and I don't have to go out.

Staff are great, store is clean, easy to get around in wheelchair, aisles not too close together, parking is great, undercover and I can fit my tall wheelchair accessible van in, which is fantastic because normally I can't get into car parks because of height restrictions. This is the best supermarket for vegetarian and vegan options. Staff are all very helpful, knowledgeable kind and friendly. I only shop here if I am coming into Argos, because I live too far away for it to be economical with fuel prices, but it is a great store, one of my favourite Sainsbury's stores.

The supermarket is an inviting place to shop in. It is well-stocked with plenty of choice of food and non-food items. Customer Assistants are both friendly and helpful, particularly if you need assistance with finding a product. I had no hesitation in awarding it 5 stars. One point - I have found it annoying that there is not more than one point where shopping baskets can be collected from. I find that the arrangements now can cause irritation as you may have to queue to get one. Perhaps there could be another point by 'Customer Service'. A good supermarket is Sainsbury's.

A large store with most of the things you need under one roof. The prices are pretty good as well. There are groceries, clothing, electronics and other things. There is large selection of chocolates.

I have been consistently shopping in this branch for 3 years. It hosts a plethora of food options for all tastes and preferences, as well as a wide range of household goods. Customer service in-store has always been very helpful. I would definitely recommend and I will keep coming back every time I pass by Portswood.
