Patricia let’s the place down very rude ! Her attitude stinks! Needs customer service training or to leave. Shouldn’t be working in a hospital environment where you don’t know what people are going through! so have some compassion and respect instead of being rude and barking orders that doesn’t make sense! And clearly doesn’t want to serve you.

After a traumatic time with a poorly relative, I was looking forward to sitting in Costa & eating for the first time in a couple of days.. i wish I hadn't bothered! Stale crisps, dirty tables & floor & miserable looking staff. I will definitely go to the other cafe in the hospital next time!

One of the better costas I’ve visited, always well stocked shelves and drinks made reasonably quickly. Staff could be a little bit friendlier but it’s a busy one so not always expected. Just wish they had Black Forest hot chocolate this Christmas!

Just inside the main entrance to Southampton General Hospital, this Costa is very conveniently situated. Service of the usual hot & cold drinks, and snacks is good.

Rude staff, mixing up orders and pulling faces when asked for a change, filthy place, but busy, so I can understand the tables being sticky, they probably cannot keep up. Food is VERY expensive for the quality.

The food and drink were pretty standard Costa fare. What set this location apart was the staff. They were really friendly and helpful. Despite us coming in close to closing time, they were still happy to take our order and make our drinks with a smile. I didn't catch their names, but they were the two who were working Sunday afternoon 14 August. Kudos guys!!

I stopped in to see one of my friends and decided to stop and get some Costa and I didn’t know what to get and the young man behind the till I think his name was Josh was a helping man would 100% recommend this place to anyone for a cheap bite to eat

Visiting someone in hospital. Called in for a coffee and got served by a lovely guy called Josh. Very friendly and very quick with my order.

Friendly staff, though only 3 on shift. Could have done with a couple of more to keep the queue down, but that wasn't the fault of the staff working

The chocolate is nice but the tables are absolutely disgusting. On each table there's a sticker that says "Please only sit at this table it it's clear so we can be sure it is fully sanitised". The tables are clear so the customer would expect to have them clean and sanitised as they say, but they're all sticky and look dirty.

Nice staff, clean and tidy area, plenty of everything, only thing letting it down was the tables, they were very sticky. Would still be happy to go there again.

Came to Costa at 7.20am this morning (13th September) After driving from 4am we was met with hostility, rudeness and incredibly poor customer service. She was more concerned about her night before then she was with making our drinks. After then slamming our drinks down they were then wrong in which she then avoided us like the plague and forced her colleague to help us. Her mask was under her nose and mouth, in a hospital?! Her poor colleague looked like he didn't want to be there at all. Wish I could have got a name but no name tag. I must say when working in a hospital you do not know what your customers are going through; please treat them with respect. Its a very big/daunting day for me and my family and to be met with such inappropriate behaviour is absolutely disgraceful.

Apart from the fact its extremely overpriced I was forced to grab something to eat when attending A&E one evening with my daughter. I had a smoked salmon and cheese sandwich which my daughter enjoyed. I opted for a toasted cheese and ham sandwich which disgusting. The bread was rock hard and I ended up only eating a couple of the inner triangle pieces which was edible. The ham was underwhelming and the cheese processed. The £3.00 latte very average! I wouldn't bother and will not give anymore of my money to them. Next time I'll go hungry. Also the gentleman serving was not the friendliest.

Seems to be bit pricey they know they are the closest coffee to people being at A&E or in the hospital in general

Bearly warm coffee, soggy warm so called toasty. But was just warm bread. Rude staff.

The Costa coffee shop at Southampton hospital is fast and plenty of seats My only criticism is that the point system has been changed to beans and I can't get my free drinks now Like the coffee but ditching the card and membership

The Man who served me is rude, I take my own marshmallows to put in my drink because the vegan one don’t melt. The Man refused to let me put them in because his words ‘he doesn’t know where they have been”. Also then gave me half a cup of froth. The only Costa in England that has ever refused and been so rude. I had been up all night and considering the shop is in the hospital you would think that he would be a bit more caring but obviously not, I think he was the Manager aswell. I would rather go to the Tesco one or Shirley who are very friendly and welcoming. Bad manners are not good for customer service. Never again.

Being open 24 hours a day you will never be short on getting a coffee when you have an overnight stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. And always a welcome sight to see it open.

Have made friends with staff here, they are very friendly and can be very generous, lovely places to chill and have the morning or late night brew.

Now quite busy and a little cramped, prices high compared to others.

I have been at hospital for nearly a year now with my son and come to Costa daily at all hours. Two people that work there Callium and Jordan are always there to greet us with a friendly smile and always ask us how our day has been and ask after my son. Pleasure to have got to know them.

My daughter was an inpatient for 3 months, and our evening Costa was our treat every day. We were always met with a smile, even when they were very busy. They were part of the care we received at Southampton general and just wanted to let them know how appreciated they are :)

Been to Costa a few times with my family and been served by Jordan Hartfield, not only does he have amazing customer service, drinks are made perfectly!
