The place is somewhat ok. At least looks clean. Ordered an appetizer which was good. Our entrees were Tacos al Carbon and "pick two" lunch special. We've been at least 15 minutes without service. No refills. The food was probably the worst I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant. The chips were softer than the soft tortillas on my Tacos. The enchilada sauce on the pick two had no taste. The prices were wrong. We let the server know but I just wanted to leave and we decided to pay for it because we were done with the quality of the experience. For people who are familiar with Chiles but haven't been here, this is very much like Chiles. I got the mini street tacos with steak. The meal was 12.49. The food was passable, but not exceptional. The service was the key here. Absolutely fantastic service. My waitstaff was very attentive and very efficient. They were personable and thoughtful. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody traveling in the area as a place for a quick lunch.

I had a good experience at On The Boarder Mexican Grill & Cantina. The chips are light and crispy, the drinks are good, and the food is delicious. I loved the steak quesidilla, but there's a lot of other stuff on the menu I'd love to try as well.

Found this Restaurant on the Internet. Went there and had dinner. OMG’ it is the best place I have ever eaten Mexican food. The food tasted so good and the portions were amazing. The workers who seat you and serve you were outstanding. All of them were smiling and they were very nice. They helped us make our order. I highly highly recommended this great Restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to the Staff who made our first time there a very fun and pleasant experience. The 1st trip was pretty good, but it seems like since we got there at a later time the quality of the drinks abs presentation suffered. The staff was nice though. The picture below is what my drink looked like the 1st trip the 2nd time it was in a regular cup. 😵‍💫 it wasn't as good either. It was more icy.

Even though we waited about 20 mins to be seated, we had a great experience. My kids enjoyed the music, decor, and kid menu activities while Mom and dad enjoyed a nice margarita lol. Great place..just understaffed.

We had to wait around 10mins to be seated and the place wasn’t busy or crowded. The our waiter was also our hostess if that tells you anything. The food was okay but I doubt our will ever return.

The food was horrible and ordered on a Sunday at 6:30 pm. Stale chips, frozen salsa, missing drinks, and tiny portions. We wont be ordering again.

Great restaurant and great service. Not only did we really enjoy our food, waitress, and service, but I left my glasses there and they so graciously hid them on the patio for me with the sweetest note. Highly recommend!!!

Didn't have a lot of help that day but the bartender was nice. The food was terrible. I was really served a cheese bowl instead of shrimp on top of rice with.

🥰 perfection... Went for Happy hours 3-6 and tried their frozen strawberry margaritas with a shot of 1800. I also tried the chicken Quesadillas and boy they were amazing. I only spent 16.01 for this 🤗😍

Well. Came in for lunch brought the grad kids, order food and drinks , well my wife saw something on her plate/food , you can see in the pic I shared, well my wife won't be back , anymore, either would I, it's a shame that the food Used to be really good 10 years ago, Unfortunate that quality of food went down like it has. I don't know if it was a bug or not but picture shows like it was a bug!!. Again Don't know why that company wants to go cheap on the food but charge so much for their product, The bar tender was good though. It cost 71.00 dollars to eat that stuff...

The chicken was dry, hard, and burned not enough food, the entire meal was very disappointing especially for the price I paid 😕

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! My husband just got off an 8 hr flight & we arrived at the restaurant 45 minutes before close. We were refused service, blatantly ignored, the hostess rolled her eyes at us. We had no intentions of ordering a huge, complicated meal...we just wanted "good food" after a long flight. The hostess teamed up with a waitress & hid in the kitchen. I suggested to my husband we leave. As we turned around to walk out, the kitchen staff & other members began clapping!!! Yes, they were clapping because we decided to NOT spend money eith them.

Never got to eat. They may have been shortstaffed is all I can think. But the greeter asked us to " wait a minute", and disappeared far longer that we should have waited. We had a nice dinner across the street at the Olive Garden.

Very poor service. I would assume due to poor management. Everyone had an attitude. My family and I left and went to El Agave across the street where the people were nice the service was fast and efficient. The food was far superior to otb. 1 stizar for on the border. And 5 stars for El Agave.

I love a good Mexican restaurant with happy and nice employees. I have met two young ladies already and they know me by name. Kisha and Cocoa. These ladies always make sure that they provide top notch service. I'm sure the rest of the employees do to. I love eating here and my daughter loves the queso white cheese😁. I love the food and the TikiRita I believe that's what it is called, if not you know what I'm talking about. When we moved in 2019 we were looking for a place similar to No Way Jose. This is where we found. Keep up the good work, providing great customer service, and may God continue to expand in the business.

Not the same and.. Food wasn't the best and overpriced plus the drinks didn't have any liquor in it. So weak.. I want be going back. Only reason why I went here is because my usual Mexican restaurant right down the street from on the border had a long wait. I'll be waiting next time. But out server was great.

I've ordered food here twice in the last month and both orders were completely wrong. I spoke with the manager and he stated that he would send me some coupons in the mail to accommodate for my order being incorrect and I have yet to receive them.

A Very Good Lunch, Short Staffed however every place is now. Our Waiter/Host/Bartender handled it all Perfectly! Can't wait to go back and try a Different Entree!

Mike the bartender was awesome. I was staying at the hotel behind the restaurant. Came in with my young daughter to grab a bite and get out of the room for a few. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience without interrupting other diners. Huge thanks.

I came here for the first time and was highly disappointed. Not only did my server let our drinks sit at the bar and water down. I gave her specifics in which I wanted my food which was very simple by the way. She’s in such a rush to come and leave that she is just saying yes and brought me out the complete opposite. A huge waste of money. So if you so go don’t let the lady with the ugly eye liner be your waitress. Plus she charged my card twice.

Absolutely the best... I was there on last Thursday evening and the service and food were amazing. Oh get the Patton Margarita 🤣

This was a terrible experience. I wanted an stuffed jalapeños. They were out. I asked for Crispy shrimp. They were out. I asked the server to just tell me what they have. She did not. After waiting about ten minutes I placed my order for brisket quesdilla. It was served without the sour cream , Pico or guacamole. When I asked about it she told me it didn't come with it. I showed her on the menu that it should be included. Her response was oh. She did bring it but without haste. Lauren did not seem concerned about good customer service

Great food! I ordered off of the lunch menu. They are currently understaffed but the service was still good! My server was the only server and worked hard to get things right. I appreciate hard work, good food, and authentic customer service.

Poor service, food, atmosphere is dreadful (employees do not want customers) Bartender did not offer chips/salsa Yells at servers to pick up their drinks Was on video call while customers sat at the bar Asked the patron next to me what I ordered after requesting a beer(gulped it down to exit the restaurant as quick as possible) Watched a couple walk out after the bartender treated them poorly, after which they asked for a manager (I don’t believe the man he came from the back was the manager, no apology) Short staff is OK, understandable… Poor customer service is not! Take your business elsewhere.

We (four females) walked in around 6:15 pm on a Sunday. Stood at the front for five minutes until someone even acknowledged us. There was an employee (guy with dreads) sitting at a table chatting with customers. Only discovered he was an employee AFTER we were seated by another employee. This young kid was on his phone. Thank God our server was attentive! Unfortunately, I didn't get her name (sweet Mexican lady). She was the ONLY reason we stayed. I only recommend this place for the food. We spent over $80 and felt like the server was the only person who even cared we were there. Disappointed ☹️

My guest and I came right before closing. Human Resource Management is my field. In my line of work, everything goes unnoticeable. Employees' attitude suppose to be the same from the time you open until the time you close. Most Businesses are in service to make money and to provide great customer service from the Bartender to the cook and back to the host. You must provide excellent customer service. The food was good but the action from the Bartender who ordered our food rude. However, I recommend the food -- but not the service of the bartender from this particular night. You all have fun enjoy! I will not return!!

Probably not going to come back to on the border, I ordered at 4:30, they marked it as complete at 5:00 and the lady I talked to when I called for curbside pickup told me I had to come in and get it, when I asked if it was done she hung up. I went in and was told to wait 10 minutes because it wasn't done.... When I eventually got the food at 6, it was warm. Like it had been sitting on a counter for a half hour. The food was decent, but it was very much ruined from being cold by the time I got home. Would definitely not recommend this place. The staff are lazy, slow, and really dont care about the quality of their food. The hostess was just sitting in a booth on her phone by the front door. One employee was very nice and accommodating while we checked our food, she was a taller black lady with long black hair, super nice and helpful, made sure we had all of our food before we left. And the restaurant was pretty empty, maybe 4 tables. So they weren't rushed or behind.

Went in for Happy Hour and was not disappointed. Food was well prepared, service was A1. Good atmosphere. We will definitely be returning for Happy Hour
