Great meat and three. I'm not big on fried food but the combo appetizer, and especially the horseradish, is amazing. It's hard to find a good baked potato surprisingly and theirs were perfectly fluffy and delicious. The service and atmosphere were both good. High recommend.

This was our first time in this restaurant. We moved here a little over a year ago from Arizona. We had seen this restaurant when we drove by. Our across the street neighbors had said they liked it and we should all go sometime. Today we were out and about and close by so decided to try it for lunch. It was a little busy, being that it was Sunday at lunch and it seemed like there were lots of after church folks coming in! Still, we were seated right away! It's a cute place, very homey, and everyone was friendly and sweet! Our server was so great, very friendly and efficient! We both enjoyed our meal. My only complaint would be that my sides...Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were not hot. Just warm. Tasty but not hot. It's nothing fancy, just home cooked food. Personally, I won't rush back. But if my neighbor said, hey, let's go to Dale's! I would tag along.

Chicken fried chicken was AMAZING!!!! The burger was a hit too!! Bonus with good service! Waitress gave a little back history and all the food is made in the restaurant from the original owners' recipes. Not too far from the airport for a bite to eat before or after a flight. The cornbread was horrible (maybe a bad batch .. we didn't ask for extra to find out) and the rolls were at least edible. Oh!! Bathrooms are good, and there are a few displays around the restaurant. If you like Christmas displays, STOP HERE AND LOOK!! OVERALL, a nice, homey place to get some good food and share a meal with someone(s) special.

Family friendly type restaurant. Great food with southern options. Very tasty. Needs more toilets in the men's restroom. One toilet is not enough for a restaurant this size. Revisit this great restaurant every other Friday fantastic catfish. Family friendly. Best food on Main St. / Stateline rd. And still very open. Great potato skins

Hadn’t been in a while and gave it another try Thursday. It felt like classic dales. Great server (Krystal who I worked with there years ago) fast service and the fried catfish was perfect as was the chicken and dressing and all our sides. (Greens, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and rolls) all hot and delicious. Glad to see a smaller, more manageable menu. That’s the first thing Gordon Ramsey does on Kitchen Nightmares, reduce the menu. Small but delicious menu to ensure consistency and efficiency. Seems to be working here as well. Will be coming back more often. The host was also very kind and sweet.

We were traveling through the area and decided to stop in because we were hungry. Boy what a treat!!! The food was AMAZING and tasted just like my grandma and great-grandma used to make!! Everything is literally homemade. It's so good that we stopped there again on the way back home! If you're in the area and want a down home cooked meal, you MUST stop here. I'd rate it 50/10 stars if I could!!!

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent atmosphere. I ordered over the phone for the fried mushrooms. Large portion which I was very happy for. The mushrooms were fresh and crunchy. So delicious mouth watering. I definitely will be returning. Next time I will dine inside. I’m going to try their fried green tomatoes! Also, they have mixture of crowd and I find that to be very comforting and relaxing.

Short wait time for a table on a Sunday and amazing food!! The wait time for the food was about 30 minutes because they are understaffed but I was patient. It is worth the wait and the staff are all so nice. Wonderful experience. They have a Christmas village on display inside.

Best home cooking I've had in a long time. The grilled chicken breast was awesome as was the cabbage. All of the food was delicious, service was great, and the hostess was most congenial. Can't wait to go back.

The poor waitress was stretched thin, but did a great job. The food wasn't too bad. It was all fresh, and took about 45 minutes to get our food. But with it being a local family business, that didn't bother me too much since I had plenty of time. The fries were the best part, honestly. Might go back to try something else, but I won't go out of my way to eat here again.

I was in the area and was wanting to have some lunch. Read the great reviews so I opted in. I got the chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes pinto beans and cornbread. I understand that the chicken and dressing was an old family recipe possibly... I personally was not impressed. It was good, yes but was it delicious... No. The pinto beans, probably could have been cooked a little bit longer and they really didn't have a lot of flavor. The cornbread was kind of bland. Nothing special there and the roles had a funny taste, not a bad taste but just a heavy funny taste. Like I said it was not bad but it wasn't delicious either. If I'm in the area I may give it another chance. Atmosphere was very nice and relaxing with an old feel to it and the waitresses were running around making sure to be on top of everyone's needs. I will say that the food came out really fast also.

I just had one of the best home cooked meals at a restaurant I've had in awhile y'all! Dale's in Southaven in soooo good. Family owned. My first time here.Completely decked out for Christmas the grand room I didn't get pics of because it had customers in it. Everywhere you turn it's decorated. Will Absolutely be back. Look them up.😍😁🌲❄️⛄🎅🤶🦌

We love Dale's. Best place for a plate lunch or dinner. The country fried steak on Friday's is always a winner. The vegetables are always fantastic. We love the rolls. We could make a meal on them alone.

Dale's never fails! Went on a Sunday evening, got seated right away, and had the best waitress, Angie! I had the chicken and dressing special and my husband had the catfish platter. Everything came out fast and hot, even though there was only one cook in the kitchen (overheard another waitress telling another diner). This is one of the best hidden gems in Southaven and I wish them many more years of success!

Wait 45 mins for food. People who set down after us received food before us. They only had one cook and a "manager" whom seemed like a punk. Don't get me started on 3 nasty tea glasses. Note for the manager: If you're down cooks. Then put a apron on.

It has a nice old-fashioned atmosphere. The food was delicious and they gave generous portions. The waitress was on point with service and friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

Dale's Restaurant has been around since before my existence. I remember going when I was a child and the place looked somewhat different then. The main part of the dining room used to actually be the front part of the restaurant with a salad bar where there are now dining tables. As the years went by, they added more dining areas but it was always the place to go on Sundays. It was always packed with so many people! For me, Dale's represented nostalgia and good memories of better times. Even now, when we go, we get awesome service and great food. I highly recommend Dale's for anyone who wants the nostalgic atmosphere and excellent home cooking.

Placed a To-Go order here. The lady working in that department doesn’t care anyone has to wait over an hour for a salad. Others waiting as well as all the table customers get served first. Do not recommend.

Just not good. We went on a Saturday at around 1pm and there was nothing going on. Immediately sat and greeted quickly by our server, who was pretty good. The food however was awful. It came out really fast which was almost a red flag. We got an appetizer platter with fried mushrooms, fried pickles, and mozzarella sticks (which was the only decent part of the meal). Rolls came out almost room temperature. My mom’s salad looked like salad from a bag - droopy and with no crunch. Her chicken was so dry she couldn’t finish it, and her rice was so over-cooked it was just mush. The squash casserole (which used to be delicious) had no flavor, and the yams were alright but they tasted like they came from a can and they went heavy on the cloves to cover it up. My steak and cheese sandwich had literally no flavor - the only flavor came from the toasted bread; the au jus that is served with it tastes like WATER. No flavor at all. I got the yams as well, which again just weren’t good. $40 for, as my mom put it, “food I wouldn’t even feed my dog, and I don’t even have a dog.” Also the restroom is very cramped and I doubt a wheelchair could even fit in the handicapped stall.

Usually busy, but slow sometimes. Love the chicken and dressing, fried chicken, fried catfish, and dinner rolls. Tastes like your Grandma’s cooking. I miss mines🥺. Servers are attentive even if they’re busy. Sunday is probably the busiest day to go. Not so much on late Sunday evenings after the church crowd.

The chicken dressing was really good. Enjoyed having lunch with family on Mother's day. Dale's was my 1st job 😊

Dale's is a classic American diner type experience. Down home cooking and delicious home made rolls. They were moist and a hint of sweetness. The catfish was delicious but the sides of Mac and cheese and green beans were not so much. Chicken fried steak was just ok. The sweet tea was a nice treat too. The kids chicken and was fresh and a large portion. The kids burger was well done and dried out. I do recommend this restaurant for passers through or casual dining.

Today I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was terrible, I wanted to give ZERO STARS, it took 2 hours to get our food and it was a little cold I just brought it home and heated it up because I did not want to wait any longer. The glass was greasy around the top and my beverage was in it. I will NEVER VISIT this restaurant again. I asked the waitress what took so long for the food to be brought out and she responded they only had one cook for the entire restaurant and if that was truly the reason they should have closed for the day. Also the gratuity that was added should not have been added to my order because I was individual not a party. I did speak with the manager and she was not concerned at all she was just about getting a tip because I would not have left one, service was very bad.

Though the plates are photogenic and the place was hopping, it was not my cup of tea. Food came out luke warm and the gravy was skinned over like it sat under a warmer for 10 or 15 minutes and mostly likely it did because it took s while. The food was pretty bland on top of that. And for what you get, pretty overpriced in my opinion. Service was good though.

We gave it another try but since the owner is gone it’s gone downhill. We were there early yesterday and the floors were already dirty and they set us at a small table although several booths were open. The waitress was rude and the food was served in small styrofoam bowls and seemed like canned or frozen not homemade. I won’t go back. Ugh
