Treatment plan was to get nerve block. I told the NP "I had that done by my old doctor before moving and it didn't work, it made my pain worse" she replied "that wasn't me" and handed me 3 pages of paperwork to sign for the procedure. I went in crying with nerve pain (in a different body part) and her only recommendation was a psychiatrist. I scheduled with a Christian psychiatrist because of my faith. The clinic told me "you have to see the doctor we chose for you" my appointment was that same day, their appointment wasn't until 4 months from that day. I discontinued their services that day. I remember one time the NP to bend forward, backwards and side to side and she wasn't even watching me.

If you’re looking for relief from chronic pain then this isn’t the place for you. They push physical therapy, nerve block, nerve “burning”, and provide you a back brace. NP claimed I had no trace of pain meds in urine so they terminated my contract. I never ran out of pills. Never took more than was prescribed not did I share any. She made me feel like a drug addict or someone who was selling pain meds! I comply with any therapy or treatment doctors suggest and when they don’t work, i tell them. This place wants you to schedule a nerve block; which is another more expensive copay and visit with the surgery side. I had a MRI and CT, nerve blocks, PT 3x a week and still was in pain. After telling her I can’t keep paying multiple copay’s plus the 20 percent out of pocket just to still be in pain-I coincidentally had no prescribed medication in my system. Read reviews and ask questions before signing contract. I left there feeling like I was wrong for asking for help with my chronic pain.

No help at all with pain, they only want to milk insurance companies for all they can get. My Dr. sent me there for injections after I had tried PT and Cortisone shots, but before having back surgery which I wanted to avoid if possible. The injections only made the pain worse, and cost thousands. After three injections, they had got everything they could from my insurance company and told me they couldn't help me. No follow up, no referral to another Dr., no nothing to indicate that they care at all (because they don't). They are only in it for the money. Their bedside manner is atrocious. During my first visit, an elderly man was coming out from seeing Steuer & Ritchey, and he was visibility upset. He said the doctors were horrible towards him and that they had no bedside manner. When I went back for my injection, they were gossiping and saying awful things about two sisters they had just treated. The women were overweight and they were making fun of them. I've never encountered a "doctor" who did that before, or since. For those who really do get relief here, good for you. Very few of the good reviews actually read as genuine. Saying how much you love them is not a review, and is immediately discounted.

It’s unfortunate that the lowest rating I can give is one star because I will never return to this place. I feel like I was conned out of $425.00. I pay and they provide no service. They should issue me a refund. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I chose this place because it is less than two hours from my home. I paid $425.00 to be told to come back in one month to give them more money. No care was provided. I take full responsibility for that because I did not perform due diligence on this place. So I’ll return to my two hour drive to the previous clinic. I provided them with my records from the Pain clinic I have been going to. They really push back injections, which I don’t trust. They performed no X-rays, no MRI, no bloodwork, no urine test, just a $425.00 conversation. Never again!

I have been disabled for 10 years due to my C7 and joint degeraration.I have come 6 times, all they have done is cause me more pain and cost me time from work, requested uneeded tests and physical therapy, even when they were told I had already been to the therapist who said at the original visit they could do nothing more for me. Since Feb 15 I have been coming here in hopes of relief, but not been treated yet. They arejust wanting that insurance money, and could care less if some one is in pain. Refused access to certain medical records.Horrible service. Filed a complaint with the state board of health, AG next, and seeking legal help.

Our appt took about three hours our first visit. I understand that they had to get all of the information and paperwork together in order to be able to address my issues. I have no problem with that part. I did not think it was good however to have the front waiting area as hot as it was. The patients coming in are already irritable. Placing them in a small hot waiting room is generally not a good idea. Then one of the front employees sprayed some air freshener or antibacterial spray in the small waiting area that choked up the patients in the waiting area. Again not a great idea. The staff, the nurse, and the nurse practitioner were all friendly and accommodating to me, but my spouse and other people who were there to help patients were not treated as kindly. There needs to be exceptions for those patients who need assistance to go to the back with them. I know it has to be a controlled environment. There is a difference between control and not meeting individual patient needs. Just some suggestions that would have made a stressful visit much better.

the doctor was very nice and explained the procedure quite well. the front desk was very cordial and when calling them they promptly answered the phone and transfer. the billing dept lacks a lot of personable skills and apparently cannot total balances out after payments have been made. i continually got two different responses, one from the southaven office and one from their offsite billing dept. so i have no clue what i actually owe. Very unorganized office skills in the facility and not sure about the offsite group because i can only interact with them via phone.

It was a very good experience. Had to wait awhile to see the Nurse Practitioner but really did like her when she did come in. Everyone was very pleasant. The only other comment I’d make was I was expecting I was getting my Nerve Block and didn’t realize this was a pre-op appointment. Which in reflection, it was the right call with the way they handled it. They really didn’t have all the information I “thought” they already had about me. Thank you!

Not very informative. Seems to always be in a hurry. No other treatment options but a nerve block. Because I declined the nerve block, Kristy Egbert was short and rude. She was kind enough in her angry departure to advise that I could return if I wanted a block. 4 to 5 months wasted.

Teresa Smith is great and has been treating my cervical issues for a number of years. Very courteous and professional staff. I don’t know how I would make it sometimes without their service. Doctor Steuer is great and his injections work for me!! Highly recommended!!Thank you!

From scheduling, to triage, everyone i encountered at Mid South Pain, was professional and had a smile on their face. Flexible scheduling options got me in fast. Dr. Egbert is the provider i see and she is above expectation, caring and reassuringly confident. She definitely knows her stuff! I have a lifetime of chronic pain in my neck. She listened to my WHOLE story, which was long and complicated, evaluated my scans and MRI; She came right in and place her finger directly on the problem. She looked me in my eyes and gave me a plan to get it fixed. I felt heard and cared for! Can't ask for much more.

Nothing spectacular. She’s just okay. She’s steady putting me on Gabapentin & giving me injections & they aren’t doing anything. I was once on stronger medication. I don’t know if that’s how they’re supposed to do it or not. I always tell her that the injection shots only last a day or two but she’s not doing anything. I hate feeling like she don’t care buuuuttttt..I give her two stars because she acts bubbly or nice or whatever

Understaffed concerning NP's is one problem. I've been in pain and unable to function normally due to a frozen shoulder for quite sometime. I'm having to wait a total of 2 months before I'm able to get any relief. I had to sign permission for record releases twice! The amount of time it takes to get pain relief of any kind is inhumane and the process and time it takes needs to be reassessed and adjusted accordingly to better serve it's patients. I sincerely hope I don't have to return to the ER due to unbearable pain like I did two weeks ago before my appointment for my block comes around.

Literally a waste of time! First of all, they overbooked and had me waiting for almost 3 hours just to tell me they wouldn’t prescribe my medication. If you are looking for injections and devices put into your body, this is your place to go! They prefer the most expensive treatment methods than what you’d suggest for yourself.

I have been going here for the past couple of months and I have yet to get any relief from my pain. I have had several nerve blocks and just today back injection with no relief from the pain. I don't know if their medication is outdated or just saline but there is no reason why I have had all this done and I'm still having the same issues with no relief. I would not recommend this place. I am currently seeking other treatment options. The physician over surgery is rude, doesn't have any empathy or compassion for his patients. The ancillary staff is okay but as far as doctors and mds they all need to find another profession.

My experience with the midsouth pain clinic was a good experience. The nurse practitioner was kind, she was knowledgeable about my problem and she explained everything to me in a way that I was able to understand. She didn't rush out of the room, she took her time and that showed me that she cared about me as a person. I would highly recommend this clinic to others.

If you are in pain this is the place to go. The staff is great and take care of you. Dr. Richey is wonderful and takes the time to actually talk to you before your procedure. He makes you feel very comfortable. I just love this place and highly recommend it.

Office staff was nice. However, practitioner pulled up chart from about 15 years ago for another diagnosis. I went for pain control of autoimmune disease and bladder pain. She treated for degenerative disc disease. And saysbi need to PT before they will help do anything. So, I am disappointed she didn't listen.

Ms. Christy is such a wonderful person. From the receptionist to the nurses, everyone is great. Ms. Christy listens, ask questions and talk it out about your treatment plan and we decide what is the best route. To have been in constant pain with no relief was a terrible way to live. I love this place.

'Nerve blocks' are the greatest way to treat pain, if the pain can be traced to a nerve. They have been miracle workers. Visits are usually about on schedule- once had a long wait. They know what they can offer, get to the point and move on....

They have always treated me good there. Dr. Richey explains what is going to take place. Nurses are always very helpful.

It was my first visit and on that same day my oncologist called to refer me to a different doctor so I have to follow his advice. Everyone was very nice and seemed to truly care about my health issues.

I love coming to this place!!! The service is prompt. The front desk people are very friendly. And Dr. Christy Egbert is very professional and friendly as she always listens to what we go through and never judge us. All doctors could take notes from her on how to treat their patients. Paid $400 to be told it will be months before we can get you back in. We only do procedures and since you don't have ins you can cancel it if you can't afford it. So I drove 1 1\2 hours to get there, spent $400, drove 1 1\2 hours back home, in pain, for nothing, got no help.
