My partner wanted to find a restaurant where we could quietly enjoy our meal away from the "full of life" main street, and he found it! As well as it being a beautiful day, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely gorgeous. I'm always sceptical about trying new foods, but what we ate was delicious. We will return when we visit again - thank you very much for your service. Total meal valued under £80 plus x2 alcoholic drinks and a coffee.

Booked a table for 2 here on Easter Sunday and the food did not disappoint. It was a sunny day so we sat outside and had our starter main and dessert. Main came with a carbohydrate sharer of potatoes and cauliflower.dessert was rich, it didn't just taste of sugar. 3 courses and a drink x2 people was just under £80, so it's slightly above the area average but worth it on a day you have time to enjoy your food.

Absolutely lovely place. Love Sicily and Sicilian food. The Dover Sole was excellent. The place had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were attentive. Throughly recommended and next time i'm in Southend, I'll be eating there again

A true old school Italian restaurant with food that can awaken all of your taste buds and quickly teleport you to a small Italian village where everything is fresh and life is simple. You really don’t want to leave that place. 10/10 food, 10/10 service and the owner/host is a real gentleman that will make everyone feel welcome. He has preserved this place to the highest standard for many years and it is definitely worth visiting again and again!

We came here on Sunday and they were closing so we had to place order fast. And that's what we did. We placed order fast and we had the food after less than 10 minutes. Food was great. We got the pasta dishes for both and the calamari starter. We asked for a bit if parmezan and meal was served and was delicious. I do recommend this place not only for the food but also for a great service as well. Polite, fast, piping hot food. What else someone can ask for?

It's a very cosy and authentic Sicilian restaurant, white tops and napkins on the tables, beautiful and clean! I had the Veal Special.” tasteless and dry” the Tuna Steak was excellent, and the homemade bread was awesome with tomato and olives on the site. The wine was excellent! In the end, we ask for the bill, and they bring us the Captain order with the final price, we pay by card and ask for a printout of the real bill! We never have the printout! Just the note with the price for two covers ;( Then it was a little argument between the manager and the waiter” didn't look good!

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was 'to die for'! I've had Monkfish many times but here the flavour was divine! As for service, Pedro & Nicole were really welcoming & friendly. A must-visit restaurant!

Excellent food, welcoming friendly staff, great house red! Definitely recommend. Visited for my mums birthday- we had cannelloni, lasagna, salad, merlot and tiramisu for dessert. Really good quality food, obviously take pride in their cooking and their service.

Staple local Italian, good service, busy place. Seafood food pasta, too much sauce and 4 unopened mussels. Pollo Milanese, dry and fried too long. The spaghetti that came with it was passable. The garlic bread was very nice. Quality of food seem have dipped a bit

What an excellent place to spend an evening. My wife and I visited for our anniversary. It was a Thursday so admittedly it wasn't full to the rafters but we were both impressed how busy it was for a Thurs. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Our waitress Leona, was so attentive and made sure our evening was prefect, she is an asset to the company. We enjoyed our time there and will be heading back again soon.

Booked a large table for a post Christmas do and can’t fault anything! We all cleared our plates. Food was well cooked, pizza looked mouthwatering and my fish fell apart! Will definitely return. Thanks all🙂

The food here was quite good. I had the Aubergines Parmesan. This didn't have the amount of eggplant I'm using to enjoying, that said it was quite enjoyable as was the seafood melody my wife thoroughly enjoyed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il Pescatore in Southend-on-Sea. It was a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. The overall atmosphere was great. If you pay them a visit, don't miss the seafood pasta—it's a real treat. I'll be back for sure!

Not been to this restaurant before. It was booked for a birthday celebration. We eat out quite a lot so have a pretty open minded view of local eateries. Ordered a mixed grill. The sausages were awful and actually inedible. Had perhaps been in the fridge far too long. I could not tell which was the pork and which was the chicken. My wife ordered a Pizza. Tasteless and bland. Out of a packet ? Especially when the day before we had eaten at a similar venue just round the corner where the food is far superior and cheaper. Garlic bread was great. No bottled lager. Service was so so. Prices high. Good atmosphere. Will not be visiting again.

This is a fantastic Sicilian restaurant with an excellent menu. The young lady who served us was polite, attentive and helpful and the food was superb. I had a piece of fillet steak cooked with Pate and lovely jus. Great stuff. Top notch Italian food.

A restaurant as you rarely meet, attentive to customers, delicious food, I fondly remember the years spent in Italy, as soon as you enter the location you are greeted by a fishy smell, everything was perfect. I want to mention that I live 2 hours away. And to drive back and forth for 4 hours just to eat in this place says it all. I can't wait to go and relive through the taste and atmosphere of the place the longing for my country My soul, Italy. I highly recommend this place

We were very pleased with the service and food. We had a really warm welcome, served with a style and elegance, adviced with a food and drinks choises when we needed, the waitresses were very polite and helpful, very patient and the chef of the kitchen is like Italian Gordon Ramsay 😉 food was so good, so delicious and the restaurant has a bit of Italian style that lets you feel for a moment like you are in Italy ❤️ P. S.: many thanks for waitrose who was running after me trough the town to give me back my personal stuff which I accidentally left in a restaurant. I see that those people really care about their customers. Thank you so much ❤️ best class!

I have been going to this restaurant since I was child (30 plus years 🤫) with my family who all continue to support ll Pescatore and have never once been disappointed. It is a authentic Italian restaurant supported by Pedro their manager and the most friendliest waitresses. This is my go to Italian and my first and only recommendation to share to all my friends and clients. Thank you to the whole team at ll Pescatore for a lovely evening tonight x x

First time here and the only disappointment is that I hadn't been much sooner than now. Food was great, atmosphere is welcoming and cosy and staff very friendly. Highly recommended!

The scallop as starter is great. But the main course of halibut is as dry as an overcooked chicken. Not recommend. The service is too chilling which means that although I’m hurry for my train, I still need to wait for 15 mins to get my bill, nothing else just waiting for my bills.

Tucked away down a side street so probably would not have found without googling Italian places to eat. Not disappointed. Lovely cooked food and generous portions. Staff friendly and attentive. I had the grilled sea bass with a mixed salad and my daughter had the veal with mixed vegetables. The fish was two really large fillets and veal consisted of two good sized thick tender pieces. Not cheap but value for money. Together with a bottle of rose wine and a sambucca and tequila shot came to £79. Left a 10% tip for good service.
