I've
had
3
transactions
with
Park
West
over
the
years
and
for
the
most
part,
it
has
been
the
typical
transactional
experience
you
would
expect
from
a
4
-5
figure
purchase.
However,
this
last
one
in
April
2021
has
been
nothing
short
of
insulting,
embarrassing,
frustrating,
and
now
borderline
theft.
One
of
their
emerging
artists
had
a
piece
that
generated
quite
a
bidding
war.
So
instead
of
taking
the
highest
bid,
the
artist
and
auction
director
decided
that
if
everyone
was
ok
paying
the
agreed
upon
price,
everyone
who
bid
would
get
the
piece
of
work.
I
believe
7
people
bid
and
were
thrilled.
FF
to
Sept
2022
and
I
still
don't
have
my
piece
in
my
possession.
Despite
over
a
50
email
exchange
all
the
way
up
to
the
EVP
of
the
company,
they
can't
seem
to
get
my
piece
in
my
possession.
The
only
concession
they
have
offered
is
$200
in
credit
for
future
purchases.
I
love
art,
but
I'm
quite
confident
I
can
get
my
art
elsewhere
when
this
is
the
experience.
Any
attempts
to
contact
the
artist
was
met
w/
responses
of
how
he's
busy,
he's
traveling
and
don't
worry
the
work
will
appreciate
10x.
Well
if
i
don't
have
it,
what's
it
worth
to
me?
In
a
world
where
your
disposable
income
is
shrinking
but
the
options
to
spend
are
increasing,
you
would
hope
a
good
customer
experience
would
be
paramount,
but
in
the
case
of
Park
West,
they
really
don't
care
as
they
already
have
the
money
so
just
take
it
and
wait.
Unreal!
