I bought what I thought was a signed print from a Salvation Army thrift store (under $50). I found that it had been purchased on a cruise ship and was sold by Park West gallery. I read that these are usually sold around the $5000 mark. I purchased it thinking maybe I found something. I asked Park West if they can give me info and sent them a receipt of the sale and my personal information. They would not provide any info even though I provided the item and lot number. I finally had it looked at and was told it likely wasn't signed print by the artist but just a print that had been nicely framed. Considering that Park West didn’t want to provide details, I believe what the person said. What I thought was a signed print from a known gallery for cruise ships was just a $50 print. I wouldn’t buy anything from any cruise especially if it comes from Park West. Once you're off the ship, what can you do? I guess that is why this ended up at a Salvation Army Thrift store. I can Imagine the person who likely spent thousands of $$ and ended up dumping it at a Thrift store. Update: After my review I was contacted and asked to provide the details again of the painting and they would give me information. Their Client services just replied saying they don't provide the information I asked for. But they asked me to send it again. These people have zero customer service. They don't care. Don't purchase any of their overpriced art. You'll end up throwing it away or donating it to the Salvation Army. I am thinking that I paid too much now at $49 CAD.

I purchased multiple artworks while on a cruise and was told it would take at most 6 weeks for delivery. I contacted park west to let them know I no longer wanted one of the artworks because it took way too long to receive it. They told me that I signed paperwork saying all sales are final, so apparently they can break the 6 weeks agreement made by one of their representatives but the purchase agreement is set in stone. They also thought offering to exchange the artwork would help although the actual artwork wasn’t the problem. Lesson learned.

I was on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and purchased two paintings. I got back home to find out Park West triple charged my credit card for the paintings. I was not upset. Accidents happen and that’s OK. I’ve called them four times trying to get them to reverse two of the triplicate charges. I’ve never been told OK I can get that done for you. I keep hearing excuses and being told this is not my department but I will see if I can make this happen. That is about as unacceptable answer as it gets when someone triple charges you. It should be an immediate, “We will get this taken care of promptly.” It has been a couple weeks now. I’ve never received a single phone call or email from them. I have to initiate each correspondence, but to no avail.

I purchased art work from Park West on a cruise ship in August of 2022. It is now January of 2023, and I have not received the art work. I contacted them in November to inquire about the status of the art. A few weeks of running around later, I asked for a refund. To date, I have not received either. The customer service is non-existent. I have had 3 different "Customer Service Team Leads" email me telling me different stories such as "We are checking with the artist" and "We don't offer refunds, you need to pick another piece of art" and so on and so on.

Was provided a $100 voucher to use at the auction on a Royal Caribbean cruise. My representative told me my card would show both the full amount, and the amount less the $100 voucher pending, and that the full amount would fall off and the proper amount would clear. Both charges were pending on my card when I left the ship. They canceled the $100 voucher amount, and cleared the entire amount. Several calls have been made to Park West to resolve this, and I am continually told to 'watch for an email in the next couple days'. I love the painting, but that is the work of Kre8, not Park West. I can not recommend doing business with a company who implements deceitful practices.

I've had 3 transactions with Park West over the years and for the most part, it has been the typical transactional experience you would expect from a 4 -5 figure purchase. However, this last one in April 2021 has been nothing short of insulting, embarrassing, frustrating, and now borderline theft. One of their emerging artists had a piece that generated quite a bidding war. So instead of taking the highest bid, the artist and auction director decided that if everyone was ok paying the agreed upon price, everyone who bid would get the piece of work. I believe 7 people bid and were thrilled. FF to Sept 2022 and I still don't have my piece in my possession. Despite over a 50 email exchange all the way up to the EVP of the company, they can't seem to get my piece in my possession. The only concession they have offered is $200 in credit for future purchases. I love art, but I'm quite confident I can get my art elsewhere when this is the experience. Any attempts to contact the artist was met w/ responses of how he's busy, he's traveling and don't worry the work will appreciate 10x. Well if i don't have it, what's it worth to me? In a world where your disposable income is shrinking but the options to spend are increasing, you would hope a good customer experience would be paramount, but in the case of Park West, they really don't care as they already have the money so just take it and wait. Unreal!

I bought over $4K worth of art from these people aboard a cruise ship. The initial art that they sent to me was improperly packaged, like they sent me something that was just lying around, threw it in a leftover box with a little bubble wrap and said yeah that's good enough for this guy and sent it. It was broken in transit. The art was worth over $1K and they charged me a fortune for shipping. I really feel if I had not been there to reject the art in front of the FEDEX driver I would have not had a leg to stand on (see photos). They did send a replacement, and the other items I bought were shipped properly. Beyond this I made the mistake of signing up for their auctions online. Despite my requests to unsubscribe and my requests to not be called they continue to send me email and call me. The initial experience I had with them was OK, but the length of time needed to ship the art, the lack of proper shipping and the endless spamming of me with emails and phone calls has made me upset. I would not buy from them again. Learn from my mistake.

EDITED- Joan with Park West called and helped me. She located a piece and I had it in my hand within two weeks of this review. The piece is beautiful! I’m thankful for this platform to get it handled and so thankful Joan helped. — Original post -So frustrated bc I cannot get an answer about an order I placed and paid for on a Celebrity Cruise in July!! It’s the Michael Godard Bond 007 piece. I was told 12 weeks for delivery. EVERY TIME I call I’m told “we’ll look into it and call you back” or “we’ll get you an update”. I was only told “it’s still with the artist” and they have NO IDEA when I’ll get it! So frustrating to be out almost $2000 to not have the art I purchased. If someone who is a senior level in customer service reads this, please help secure what I ordered.

We discovered a small blemish on our original artwork when we were hanging "Western Wonder." Since contacting Park West Gallery, in September 2023, our contact, Ester Vasquez, did such an excellent job of taking care of us. The communication was awesome. She made sure we knew what was happening on each step. From the original phone calls, getting the box to return it (the 1st box was damaged, so received a 2nd box), returning it and for informing us when the box was received at your facility. Once the correction had been made, she sent us pictures to approve the finished work before it went to framing. When it was ready to ship back to, she let us know. All I am doing now is waiting for the artwork. It has been a pleasure dealing with Park West Gallery, from the land auction to now. Saving up for the next Park West adventure with my daughter Candy. Very happy customer. Pam 2023

We began by purchasing a few minor items when on a cruise approximately ten years ago. Then a few more on another cruise, and since then we've filled our home with original paintings and met many of the artists whose work we've acquired through the VIP program. We are really pleased with our purchases!! They do warn you that once you purchase your artwork, it could take up to 12 weeks or more!!

I visited Park West Gallery last month and I was very impressed by the museum and art for sale. I had not been to the Park West Gallery in Southfield is many years. I recently visited the DIA and was looking to view contemporary art and I was disappointed, In contrast, Park West Gallery was outstanding. I highly recommend that you visit.

Absolutely the worst bait and switch "auction" I've ever participated in. Had "won" multiple items in the "auction" only to have an appointment made to come negotiate after closing. The $100 credit I "won" couldn't be applied to the pieces I won. Rather a separate collection 😂. Then they have higher prices for the same artist/collection after the fact and after finally trying to buy a piece they add a $35 appraisal fee to the already discussed "all in" price lol. When I try to cancel the manager in Miami laughs and says it's not in their system for weeks, and it's an all sales final auction.... as he laughs and pretends to be some higher than thou human being. Absolutely discusted with this experience. I'm sure the artists would love to know this is how they're represented. I'd love to buy more Ashton Howard pieces but not thru these scammers!!

Two friends and I have been here twice. This is a beautiful gallery and has many interesting pieces to view, plus an extensive Picasso collection! It is quiet and peaceful, very soothing just to stroll and see. We were greeted this past Saturday by Asia at the front desk and had a fun and pleasant chat with her. Her poise and warmth does your establishment credit. Please give her kudos!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our Park West experience. As we have been collecting for a number of years, and feel like a part of the family. The group events have become highlights in our life's journey. All the special people from artist to auctioneers, and sales. However, I would like to make special mention of the finishing aspect of the art experience. And, that is the framing department. I have been working with a gentleman by the name of Cristian Padilla. And he has far surpassed any customer relations of, wanting to get it right, that we have ever been involved with. The going the extra mile has made such a difference in the finished product, and we are beyond thrilled! Thank you Cristian for being outstanding in your daily efforts to make the Park West VIP's so happy! Alicia

I returned to Park West Gallery after many years. It had remained a beautiful space, spacious, bright, and as always displaying famous and unique art, from the classics Picasso, Dali, Goya, Chagall, Rembrandt, to contemporary artists, David Le Batard, David Najar – to name a few. Polite and helpful staff. An extraordinary pleasure to walk through the gallery rooms and see world class art.

Bought some arts on our first Princess cruise in April 2023. The staff were all very helpful onboard. We were a bit sceptical and worried after reading some reviews. Staff explained on the cruise the arts they sell are not print copies. They are either copies printed on different materials (i.e. On aluminium or canvas, etc.) and authenticated from the artist by signing on the pieces. We can understand they can't create the same painting exactly the same every time. This is the best way of investing art as a beginner like us. The paintings arrived exactly on time as the onboard staff Told us within 6 weeks from the date cruise journey ended for us. As you can see the packaging they delivered them in. Perfectly packed for all of them. We love the fact they sent them one by one which was very thoughtful in case of any problems. We couldn't be happier with our purchases. Worth every penny. All in all, 5 star 🌟 for our experiences. Wish we purchased some more now.

We have been collecting for years. Been to few VIP events including a VIP Cruise. Wanted to give praise review to the Auctioneer on Carnival Mardi Gras, Keith. All the events we've been to he is amazing. Gave me goose bumps. His passion, knowledge and enthusiasm for art was truly impressive. Thank you Keith and his team. Job well done.

The staff on the Princess cruise was amazing. I absolutely love my artwork. I was not expecting my print to be framed. I was blown away when I received my package. Thank you so much! I Will treasure this art fir the rest of my life. It will remind me of my New York trip and my Alaskan cruise. Also the lovely story of the artist. We are very happy.

I'm from out of town and I visited the gallery last week and boy can I tell you what a great experience I had. From the moment I entered the building I was thoroughly impressed. I was immediately greeted by the front desk and Felicia was very pleasant and answered all of the questions I had. The art was beautiful and the staff was amazing. When I'm in town, I'll be sure to visit again!

If you’re thinking about buying anything from Parkwest on a ship. DO NOT DO IT. In October, while on a cruise, I bought a picture. The contract said we will have it before the end of Jan 2023. I called Feb, Mar, Apr. still no picture. Parkwest manager agreed to a refund because it still wasn’t coming. May, June no credit. I finally received the credit but they didn’t refund the shipping and handling cost. I didn’t get a picture to pay shipping and handling. They scammed me out of $200.00! NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. This company is not trustworthy or dependable. The manager said too bad.

I was so happy after talking with Kristen at Client Services on June 5th. He was able to assist me after I encountered a mix up on some shipments and their processes. After speaking to others prior, he reassured me of what was going to happen next. He was professional, calm, courteous, and informative. I am so happy to have received his service after what I thought would be a nightmare! Thank goodness it was resolved. Thank you Kristen!!

Purchased art from the park west gallery on my cruise in January. Paid for the art with m park west gallery credit card. They then also charged my room credit card. Have tried to reach out to them to rectify the issue of being charged two times for one product. It has been 6 months no resolution. Getting together with my attorney to get this taken care of when it’s as simple as refunding one of my credit cards.

Purchased a Thomas Kinkade painting, well so I thought. The Park west employees on the cruise were very friendly but just found out they flat out lied. When I bidded on painting I was even told it was a beautiful painting. It's a freaking print!! I had so many witnesses with me and the lady said it was a painting when bidding and when I set up payment and framing! Will never fall for their lies again! Paid way too m.uch for a piece of Damm paper

I HAD to come back and modify this review! After reading so many negative comments as we anticipated our Marcus Glenn work, I became nervous about the purchase and immediately wanted a refund. TODAY. The artwork came and the frame isn't expensive but it is beautiful and we STILL love the art! It was not damaged by Fedex even though Fedex did not ask me to sign for the delivery [they were supposed to ask me to sign as signature was REQUIRED]. ( I recorded the unboxing in case of damage ) We were already in the process of preparing for the work by purchasing some decor items that would compliment it since we were replacing an older piece that was less colorful. PARK WEST. Thank you for introducing us to this artist! We are thankful and I apologize for the original bad review based off of a nervous response to other people's reviews. This is my honest review and we are completely happy. We will be collecting more Marcus Glenn's in the future.

👍👍 I had never been here but my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to park and eat on the way back from Southfield. This place is adorable! The grounds were impeccably landscaped. The grass was incredibly green and it was in early July so there was a beautiful array of flowers everywhere I look...
