I ordered seafood gumbo, catfish beignets & fries. Upon arrival to pick up my to go order, I was told the catfish was still cooking and it would be at least 10 minutes. Cool. However, when I got to the car, my fries were cold and soggy because they didn’t give me fresh ones after the fish was ready. I was hungry so I ate them anyway. When I got home I realized instead of the big catfish pieces I’m use to, it was just a bunch of fried crumbs. That is unacceptable, especially since all the prices are increasing. Very disappointed. 2 stars because the gumbo was good.

I was not impressed at all. Got catfish beignets, alligator bites and the Gumbo Ya-Ya which should have been called Gumbo No-No. I was craving a delicious gumbo and this was not it. Sloppily presented and small portion compared to the price. Nothing was good, the alligator voo doo was do do. I’ve had their sushi before at the downtown location and we should have stuck to that location. I don’t know if it was the location but this was just not good. At all. The quality and taste did not match the price point. At all. I gave 2 stars simply because the waitress was ok. I won’t be back. I do not recommend. Update - I did not order sushi from this location. I said I have had the sushi at the downtown location in the past and should have stuck with that. Meaning that location. Not this one.

Sat at the bar and it was rather busy. There was only 1 bartender servicing the entire area. He was very good! He made great drinks, got the food out timely and checked on my party and I frequently. The food wasn't as good. One of the turkey burgers was chargriled (turkey is not supposed to be overcooked) and the gumbo didn't taste or look that good. The Alligator Voodoo was hot & good. The bill was $160 (party of 4) food not exactly worth it but service was above average concerning all of the staffing shortages.

Not a lot of restaurants in Detroit metro area that serve real Cajun food. Menu and food taste authentic but I don't know if I want to come back. My food was luke warm for some reason, they all looks very appealing though. Also it is kinda of pricey that I am not sure if it worth the money. Bacco next door are miles better if you looking for a good dinner experience

1st time here. My partner and I . He had The Chicken Florentine. I had The Chicken Sausage Jambalaya Both of them were exceptional. The Bisquits were nice & warm also My only complaint here is that they automatically add 15% gratuity only the bill. But it is posted as you come in. Also a bit pricey but worth every bit.

Must try the catfish bites and the shrimp appetizer. The salmon maple glazed dinner was prepared perfectly and presented beautifully . The cheesy potatoes are really good as well for a side to choose. The lamb chops were juicy and very flavorful. Excellent service! He gave some recommendations and was so friendly. Service with a smile and he seemed genuine which is hard to find lately.

Can you say delicious, delightful, and delectable? We grazed on everything from 1/2 slab of ribs, which fell off the bone. I myself was in Heaven with my Catfish, red beans and rice. They have a very skilled chef in the kitchen. I wish I knew him/ her personally to share recipes. The customer service was top shelf even with our waiter who was training someone new. He was very personable when taking our order, which led to us tipping maximum. His trainee was also pleasant. The only disadvantage to this evening was that I forgot to order dessert to take home. I would definitely go back to this location.

Many dishes and some drinks were not available to order. (?) Our server, Chris was actually okay. However, it took us a while to get our food... Appetizers and Meal. The prices do not reflect the quality of service you receive. There was lipstick on one of our glasses. I don't think we will return ever again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I always get the voodoo alligator and fried catfish. The ambiance is great with the occasional live singer, 70s-2000's R&B, and mature vibe.

The food we received was good, HOWEVER, We had 12 people in our party and 1 never received her food. When we brought up we shouldn't be charged for it we were told because she eventually received it (in a To-go box and the manager themselves couldnt come over to relay) that they couldn't remove a $30 meal off a $700+ bill. We will never go back to this restaurant due simply to the customer service.

This place is absolutely great. The atmosphere is amazing and there is plenty of room inside the restaurant. Parking is ok. I the staff is great and nice. Drinks will put you on your butt if you're not careful, lol. I've had a lot of items off the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. The alligator bites are one of my favorites on the menu. Some days they have live music and it's pretty cool. Overall, everything is cool here, and I love it.

Service was fine, the food was just okay, truly nothing to write home about. Jambalaya contained sausage that tasted very commercial, as if from a package, and the sauce needed more time for the flavors and spices to blend well. I would give the restaurant a passing grade, but honestly we're not in a hurry to go back.

The restaurant opened at 2:00 p.m., and we arrived shortly afterwards. The waiter was friendly, but must’ve been preoccupied. My husband and his sister ordered water with lemon, I ordered a Diet Coke. He returned with 3 waters and lemon in one of them. My husband had to request lemon again. He then took our orders. My sister-in-law ordered her meal with a salad, I ordered a cup of gumbo and a cat fish Po Boy sandwich (the server recommended I get the bowl for just $1 more), and my husband ordered a lake perch Po Boy sandwich. When he returned with our orders, my sister-in-law’s salad was missing, and my gumbo was missing. She had to ask for her salad again, and I assumed my gumbo would be delivered shortly. The catfish Po Boy sandwich didn’t taste fresh at all, and my husband said based on the taste of his sandwich, it was ocean perch not lake perch. I had to ask for my diet coke again when we received our meal. He never bought my gumbo, and I didn’t bother to ask for it again. I checked to make sure we weren’t billed for it. We were very disappointed in the service and the food and will not be returning. FYI …. Your tip is automatically added. The server almost got a double tip until I noticed the automatic tip card at our table.

Had a Stella from the tap it was bitter . Oyster Rockefellers were swimming in some type of cheese sauce. The Orleans pasta was Bland. The presentation on the food was great. I sat at bar the bartender was attentive and the gratuity was automatically added in which I hate

Our greeter was very polite but argued back and forth with co worker. We called and made a reservation but it was not noted when we arrived with our party of 9. The waitress was unpleasant and wouldn't respond to my one year old who said hi to her four times while she was at the table. I gave allergy restrictions and they were not taken into consideration. My blackened shrimp and grits barely taste cajun and definitely wasn't blackened. Poor service altogether

Failed to meet my low expectations. Service was poor. Host that greeted us was pleasant. That was height of our dining experience. Haven't been to this location in a few years due previous poor service. I was quickly reminded of why we stopped coming to this restaurant. One thing I have noticed is the unprofessionalism in ownership by responses to criticism voiced by patrons on google reviews. It is clearly reflected in the poor service.

We stopped there for Thanksgiving and had appetizers and drinks. We ordered our dinner which may have been late for the staff because the food came out and we felt bad being there while the staff was closing we packed it up. When we arrived home this catfish was discovered to have been microwaved. It was disgusting and tough! This was not a cheap meal it was a catfish’s atchafalaya entree with vegetables and mashed potatoes. My wife ordered chicken piccata in which she found a strip of cartridge!!!! 🤢 The bartender while we were there was great and very personable! It is very disappointing for your Thanksgiving dinner to be like this. I wish they would of closed the kitchen rather than serving microwaved fish. Grilled fish has either grill marks from a broiler or flattop grill. I have had this dish many times downtown and it was phenomenal. Very disappointed!!!
