We were having so much fun we forgot to take pics. My sister kept talking about how delicious the braaid liver is, so we went to try it. It was a saturday night and the DJ was playing old school house music. Hit after hit. The waiter Thabang was great. He was helpful and thoughtful and met our every need. As for the braaid liver, delicious. It’s served with onions and a sauce on top. But perfectly fresh and tender and under cooked on the inside. We had it with braaid tongue, pap, samp, gravy, spinach and archaar. It’s a spot on the heart of Orlando west that attracts mature crowds for easy vibes,

Great ambiance and great food. This restaurant is a gem just off the busy streets of Vilakazi. Vilakazi tends to have a more touristy vibe while Just Badela give you an authentic Soweto vibe. The place plays mature South African Jazz that makes you feel like you are in Soweto. The food is authentically ShisaNyama (Braai/BBQ) with a twist. You can also get traditional African food like tripe, hooves and animal head meats. The BBQ ox tongue is a signature dish that is to die for. This was my first time tasting Braaied Ox tonge and, I have to say, it is my latest addition to my braai menu.

This Chesanyama, thats about 3km from Vikakazi Street, provides a glimpse of soweto night out, away from the hustle and bustle of the busyness of tourist attraction sites. disappoints🍖🥩🍗. The nyama gets served with the flame grill aroma, and the succulent taste Just reminds one - "this was a great idea"🤤🥂. The platter for 2 with Ox liver and sides humbled us🤣 And as the night fall, Mbeki, our waiter, made sure we kept warm with our personal fire pit🤞🏽😅 The DJ's musicall set was also on point, although revealing our age, we enjoyed every lyric from Atlantic Star to the OJ's 🤫😍

High quality food, however with that said, it was a little too pricey for the average foodie, I understand that they're the only establishment that makes use of a "special pressure grill", however I still stand by my opinion, it was too pricey. Also the exclusive jazz music is a bit of a buzz kill.

Dropped in to buy meat on a friend's recommendation. Rump steak well-cooked but too salty. Ribs terribly prepared, practicàlly raw.

The food was so little for R200. I felt like a dog because wow, they dished up bones and gravy ( I ordered lamb stew and dumplings) get this, we only got ONE dumpling when the order specifically said 2 x lamb stew and dumplings. 🤡 The salt didn't make things better. The order was more like salt and lamb bones covered in salt gravy 🌚

What a phenomenal dining and music experience. Visited from the U.S. and joined the Jazz Society for their monthly meetup. The music was excellent, the food was exquisite and the service was superb. Will definitely recommend.

This restaurant has to be the worst in the entire Soweto, the food is always off (I’ve given it so many chances) they always cancel orders on UberEats, and they never answer calls when you try to reach them regarding ordering. Never again 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

It was my first time and the place. The food was nice and the vibe...but there was no electricity for more than 2 hours and it was not loadshedding. We were told it was electeicity fault but in places like this a generator should be available as back. I hope the management looks at this and sort it out, other than that me and my friends liked the place and we are thinking of making it our recidents place for our monthly meetings Big ups to Bafana who was our waiter for the day, he has a good customer service and convinced us to stay when the electricity was gone
