Dr. Tshikanda is great at what he does and very professional. Only problem is that one has to deal with the receptionists who unfortunately leave very little to be desired. They’re unhelpful, unmotivated and just not interested both telephonically and physically. Wish he can hire better in future.

I remember walking into Tshepo Themba heading straight to the reception area and enquiring about a gynecologist and the lady recommended Dr. KA.Tshikanda. I had no idea what to expect as it was my first pregnancy but from the moment I first met Dr. T, I had nothing but confidence that my baby and I were in good hands. He was so friendly and welcoming, mamaged to calm my nerves and assure me that this journey would amazing. He was always available, answered every question I had and forthcoming with information that i didn't know would benefit me. My daughter is 4 months and we still pop in to see Dr. T as he has become a part of our lives. I would recommend him any day to everyone as he is the best.

What an amazing Dr 👌🏽- however the receptionist are soooo mean (especially the chubby one who’s abit light in complexion)😭.. So unhelpful, demotivated and has an attitude! Also the waiting time is at a snail pace, wish they took appointments.

Meeting Dr Tshikanda was the best choice I have made during my pregnancy. Dr T showed great compassion and empathy. First of all i rate him as the best gyneacologist I have ever met. And what really made him stand out is how he made me feel, I felt like I was his only patient. He would spend as much time with me as i needed explaining everything I needed to know as I am a first time mom. I am now a mother and my journey was very easy all because of Dr T 🙏. I saw Dr Tshikanda on my discovery app and from the very first visit he was friendly, caring, patient, and very understanding. On the 16th of January, I was blessed with a baby girl and everything was perfect with her all thanks to Dr Tshikanda for monitoring my baby’s growth while she was still in my womb. Dr Tshikanda is the Best Obst/Gynaecologist around the South of Johannesburg or Soweto;actually one of the best around Gauteng. I am so grateful to God for using him to assist so many of us.I went for my first appointment at 36Weeks Pregnant and the Doctor welcomed me with both hands and it was like I have known him since forever,he is so friendly and very attentive.I also loved the fact that you can easily reach him on his personal cellphone if you have an emergency or any questions.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I didn’t have the best first experience but one thing I appreciate is that the Dr is always available on his cell. My initial review is the below but I’ll keep updating as we progress. I don’t think I understand the vibe around the ob.. myself and the other lady shared the same experience on our first consultation. It’s my first pregnancy, the only thing the doctor did was the sonar and Bp. He prescribed pregomega without even checking if it is suitable for me coz if he did he would know that my body can’t handle high doses of omega 3 which I had to stop taking after 2 weeks. And this costs about +R350. He did not explain anything about Dos n Don’ts for the first trimester, I later learned that some things are extremely dangerous for the baby’s mental health and these are the things I could have avoided had I been told. No guidance of what to expect, suggestions on what to read and so forth…I am not at all impressed. Note that yr first time if you pay using cash is R1950, I’d suggest you rather go to a gp bc he will do the same thing for less…

Never in my life had i been treated by a Dr/gynaecologist that is so selfless. I received the best ante natal care from Dr Tshikanda, from antenatal visits ‘til birth. He is so friendly yet so professional. He explains everything to your understanding.I would recommend him to every woman every day.

I went to him because of the reviews but I got a very different treatment. 1. The receptionist told me that the Dr works until 10am which wasn’t true and I wasn’t the only one that was told that lie, instead they cut the line at 10am; that was that and I accepted. My 1st appointment with the Dr went pretty well, he gave me his WhatsApp number of which he never replied to my messages so many times, I had to send back to back emails. I then got my surgery done and the receptionist came to the ward and told us to choose dates of which we’d require as sick leave, I only took 3 days because I washed told that I need to take at least a minimum of 2 weeks (and for that I don’t blame the receptionist but the Dr because he signed out the sick leave)……. I then got back to my normal activities 5 days later as I was feeling better, little did I know that I’d be rushed to ER due to some complications of which the receptionist and the Dr took lightly as I had to call countless times telling them I’m in pain and they did nothing till my brother called furiously. Even after post op (>8 weeks later) I still had pains, I’m still in pains today and the Dr doesn’t reply to my emails or messages & I don’t know what to do anymore. I had trusted him so much but he failed me.

I would recommend Dr Tshikanda to anyone without a doubt. Listen this Doctor is very patient and understanding, he diagnosed me with PCOS then performed a Laparoscopic procedure and everything went well.

I was looking forward to seeing the doctor because of all the reviews I read here, however I had to cut my visit short because of the rude receptionist (especially the light one with a weave on) thank you very much! Like you can't serve people like they've come to irritate you, it's just not on.!

I am leaving this review here to give hope to women who are struggling with fertility that Dr tshikanda is the best Dr to walk this journey with… i traveled all the way from limpopo to go see him… by 4am i would be at his office waiting to see him by the time he opens because he is so occupied…I struggled for the past 7 years in my marriage without a child but with multiple of miscarriages… In just one month of treatment with him i fell pregnant and carried my child full term 🙏🏾God bless you with this beautiful job you are doing Dr and thank you very much…. I don't even know where to begin... My journey with Dr Tshikanda has been a very pleasant one, he is a true definition of "do what you love" and he embodies that. He is very humble, patient, encouraging, kind and knows what he is doing. He is always available when you need to speak to him, always positive and welcoming. I didn't know him at all when I first went to his practice for the first time last year, I was not referred to him by anybody and I had not heard of him before but I believe I was directed to him by God. Dr Tshikanda is the best gynecologist in town. His very humble and friendly, he goes deep in details when explaining i remember my husband called him and he explained to him as well. Every visit to the doctor i feel welcomed because he doesn't even forget you or the last conversation we had on our previous visit. The two beautiful ladies are doing the good job. Dr Tshikanda is the best!! The only issues I encountered was with his two receptionist, Thendo and Lufhuno!!! Today came back to request for an invoice from a short payment made by my medical aid so that the medical aid can pay, I was told I had to pay cash they can't give me an invoice. When initially that was our agreement with the two ladies when I went in last year in November, as they were supposed to send it to me, however, they couldn't at the time as they had an issue with their server. Suddenly things had changed since it was the new year that was the reason. When I called in December I was advised to come in January since my savings had depleted. I went in today, I was told to come back next week for an appointment they have already closed, mind you I'm 36wks and this could be my last appointment. I've noticed that if you are not Tsonga or Venda, they will not treat you accordingly. They only treat Venda and Tsonga speaking people with respect, the rest of us, we can go to hell. I would expect great service since I pay for it, however, I was treated as if I'm in a public facility. My hospital authorization has been approved, however, I am willing to change it last minute with the kind of attitude I received. It's really appalling. Do not mind paying extra by changing doctors last minute!! Lufhuno and Thendo you are a disgrace to Dr Tshikanda's practice.😡😡😡
