An absolutely amazing experience. We went through and enjoyed an incredible balloon ride, with Japie as our pilot. The service was exceptional, the views were amazing. Japie was very friendly and had great knowledge of the wildlife. He helped with making the occasion extra special for us and they provided coffee and tea before launch, juice and champagne on landing and then a full breakfast once we returned to the lodge. Overall and absolutely breathtaking experience.

Our flight was without any incident and magical to say the least, thanks to our pilot Paul who put us at ease from the get go. Thank you for making my dream a reality!!!

If you’re visiting Pretoria you MUST check this off your bucket list ✅ What an amazing experience- the views, the feeling at take off and the air in your face is like nothing else you’ll ever experience (short of jumping out of a plane) We did the classic safari flight over The Cradle Of Humankind and it was so well done that I was not scared once (and I’m afraid of heights)! The ride is a leisurely 1 hr float and once you land you get to toast your experience with a mimosa and then a buffet breakfast afterwards 🤤 Make sure to visit the Cradle’s visitor centre for another uniquely whole experience 🎈

My chosen option to ask my girlfriend for her hand in marriage! We went on the exclusive couples flight where it was only the two of us and our pilot. The whole experience was simply amazing! The ride was one element of my proposal and Kloofzicht and Air Ventures worked so well together to facilitate all my requests and needs! Andries, Japie and Marius were simply brilliant in all aspects and made this whole experience perfect for both myself and my now-fiancée! From the collection at Kloofzicht, through the flight and landing (Kudos to Andries for his exceptional flying skills) and finally a very romantically setup table on return to Kloofzicht for breakfast - everything was simply perfect thank you to the Air Ventures team!! I would highly recommend this and we'll also be back!

Expensive but I guess worthy it

My twins gave my youngest and I the safair hot air Balloon as gift for our Birthdays. What awesome experience and gift. Everything was so professionally handled by staff and our experienced, friendly and good looking pilot Adam. He was well knowledge about the areas, rivers, history, animals. We saw ostrich, bucks, white rhinos, baby rhino feeding. Landing on trailer was amazing and so perfect. Really enjoyed our birthday - thank you

Brilliant to day the least Ruan and his crew especially Harold are outstanding and take the experience to a whole new level. From game viewing, to info anout the region, tourist attractions, landscape and history! Explaining the intricacies of ballooning and the art and science behind it. Highly recommended!

Great service and fun experience!

This was the most fulfilling experience, a once in a life time great experience. Our pilot who happens to be the head pilot had a great sense of humour, he made all the guests feel relaxed and gave us the best ride… we were blessed with the most beautiful sunrise and beautiful views. Thanks for such great service and scrumptious breakfast ❤️

Omg!!! Best experience ever! I booked this for my husband's birthday and we enjoyed it soo much. We did the safari ride, we could watch wildlife from above and it was just amazing. The pilot said "you cannot explain how it feels to be in a hot air balloon until you have been on it" it's exactly that, you can't describe it. I loved the mimosas served right after the ride and the certificates of courage. The breakfast was just OK... Not sure about 5 star. It's basic buffet. What I didn't like was arriving at Kloofzicht Lodge at 4:30am we found no sit we had to stand until 5am when we had to go to the bus.

My wife and I woke up at 2 am to take a cab from Rosebank to the lodge where we would fly away for the sunrise safari air balloon flight. The safety briefing was clear, the pilots and instructors made us feel comfortable and excited, and the walk over to the balloons was absolutely stunning at now, 5 am. We loved watching the balloons fill up. Speed up to the ride itself, a misty sunrise greeted us in the air and waterbuck, giraffe, and zebra were out on the safari. Breakfast was good and the lodge itself is gorgeous. Don’t even think about it! Just book it!
