I read some recent one star reviews and thought it was probably just a bad day so decided to go anyway. Unfortunately it is not just a one off. This is one of the worse experiences we’ve had at a restaurant. The eggs and bacon were undercooked, the hash browns were chewy. The green chili resembled something that had been left to dry out on the counter for a few days. Our server never came back to check on us we had to track her down and the rolled her eyes when we asked for the food to be fixed. Restrooms were extremely dirty. We’ve been to Uncle Louie’s other locations that were great, unfortunately would recommend saving your money and going somewhere else.

It's the only place to eat open after 6pm. It was very loud and warm. We were seated at a table for two that was dirty from previous diner. Being seated was the only service we received. We sat for more than 30min. Waiting for menus, water, a waitress. We got nothing. After waiting more than 30min. And watching several staff members stand around with a few walking right passed us we got up and left after we saw a couple come inside they were obviously known to the staff, and they were seated immediately, two workers stood at their table talking to them while a 3rd one brought them waters menus and silverware right away. Then she stood at their table with the other two chit chatting and showing eachother things on their phone's while waiting to take their order. Looking around we noticed most people were waiting for their food. Only a few people were actually eating. Hot, stuffy, dirty and non existent service. Don't recommend

Great little restaurants in Spearfish South Dakota, food was good. Everything was fresh and large portions and our server was very pleasant & it was a nice dining experience. The restaurant was really clean and the bathrooms were kept up as well worth giving this place a try.

What a great place for breakfast- Service perfect thanks to Brooke & staff - Food was great - Chicken fried chicken - Eggs medium - Hash browns well & Sour dough toast. Stop in as you pass through town for breakfast.

Cute little place on the main street Spearfish. From the outside looks like a cute mom and pop diner, I assume our experience was related to it being Sturgis rally, but the food was mediocre and nothing special, staff was uninterested/super slow. Food was also expensive for the type/quality served. Like I said, maybe it was rally related? Place has the potential to be excellent. Probably will not be visiting again.

Really solid stop at the start of the the spearfish Canyon. Good place to get some lunch on ride. They have classic American food. My burger was good but not great, and my friend got a breakfast burrito that he really liked.

Came from out of town to visit family. Overall our experience was bad. Servers didn’t even try to put our party of 10 together - the restaurant was not busy. He put us in 3 different tables. We decided ourselves to put 2 tables together so we can sit together and it worked out. Server was friendly but did not have attention to detail. Finding gluten free food in this town for brunch was tough. This was our second place we tried. They definitely get points for having GF burger buns and toast. But also my hubby and my kids are GF and the rest of our party wasn’t so we couldn’t be too picky. The food was all over the place. My MIL loved the eggs Benedict. My hubby loved his omelette. My Aunt didn’t love her omelette because there was stems in it or something. Everyone else seemed to love their food. I got my kids a regular size GF burger with hash browns and they split it. The hash browns could be crispier and needed salt! A couple of us got under cooked hash browns—like, raw. I got oatmeal and a side of bacon LOL. I was going to get the tacos but they only had flour tortillas. Everything else just seemed really greasy to me. Maybe I’m just too healthy to enjoy diners. 😂 I didn’t use the restroom but my MIL said it was really dirty. My niece comes here all the time apparently and loves it. So, to each their own.

Went in for lunch about 11 with a group of 7. Most of the food was luke warm. One of our group got a chicken tender basket but when he got it the chicken was still raw in the center. After they re cooked the same chicken the waiter said he would "take care of it" and only took $3.50 off the bill.
