Back after more than 3 years (19 March 2023). The menu is different from pre-covid. I was informed the chef had changed and this menu reflect the part of Italy he's from, Sicily. Ordered the seafood minestrone and the lamb shank. They were very tasty, but I would say the lamb shank is outstanding, the meat is so soft and tender, falls off the bone. Very attentive staff and the service was excellent. Glad to be back! Came back for dinner today (4 June 2023). The manager Alyssa surprised me when she remembered I had enjoyed and raved about the lamb shank the last time! She didn't serve me the previous time, but had stopped by asking how the food was. This is indeed excellent service, for remembering and making hotel guests feel special. I ordered the roast pork belly with apple sauce and the birramisu, which is a tiramisu with dark ale beer. Both were very good (pork is fat, so know what you are ordering!). They asked if I would like to finish with coffee and when I said I wouldn't have to pay for coffee if I go to the Horizon lounge, the staff (Jessica) immediately offered me a complimentary coffee. This is indeed a nice restaurant with great food, excellent and friendly service and nice ambience! Highly recommended if you are in Jakarta or if staying at the Shangri-la.

Love the food here. They are flavourful, taste is not overpowering. The dessert is consistently delicious, sweetness is just perfect (not overly sweet) in which you can taste what you’re eating. We have eaten various desserts in the several time dining in. This place has cosy ambiance and subtle great music. People are friendly. Even when there’s about 80% crowd in the restaurant, it is not noisy. For dinner, you will be served a complementary pre-dinner drink. Their Sunday brunch comes with a wide spread of appetisers - to name a few: carpaccio, cheeses, berries, liver pate, calamari dishes, cold cuts, clams, prawns. Highly recommended. Quality, fresh ingredients and food. For gluten intolerance people, Rosso do serve your meal accordingly, and with gluten-free bread too. And don’t be shy to make a request for a gluten-free dessert, it is delicious! 😃😋

Nice ambience, accompanied by music from the pianist for a lovely dinner, is made perfect with the delicious pastas my family had. The desserts are good, the orginal tiramitsu taste better than the beer version.

Delicious Italian food and definitely worth the price! This was my first time eating here, so I ordered one of the signature dishes and was pleasantly surprised by it's scrumptious yet complex flavours. My dessert was also a delightful and the perfect touch to the meal. The atmosphere was really stylish and sophisticated; the staff were polite and professional, adding to the outstanding experience I had at this restaurant. If you're looking for delectable Italian food in Jakarta, take your time to visit this spectacular eatery.

I really don't have any complaints or disappointments at this place. At first glance from outside, it might look like some expensive & non-family-friendly resto, but it turns out that this is very very family friendly place restaurant, aside it is a very romantic resto. We had pastas & pizza, and were very surprised for its taste.. our kids and us loved it so much.. even the welcome-bread/biscuits were awesome. Pricing-wise we think it is very acceptable for the portion & quality served... the waiters/resses were very friendly & helpful.

Food is well varried for night buffets and on lunch buffets to a lesser extent. Went there during discounts which made the price reasonable for the quality you get. Almost all buffet items were treated like ala carte menus. Served king crab legs and fois gras which I received with open arms for the price paid. Despite the crowd, it was easy to get around the posh interior as the place itself was relatively small compared to the neighboring "Satoo" and on special occasions, the management might do something special which is rather neat. Its easy to try all they have, something difficult to manage in buffets of the same price range that focus on quantity over quality, making it a satisfying experience.

Great fine dining place. Unfortunately, it was very noisy when I visited; an Indonesian family let two of their children run around other's tables screaming. Other than that, the service is excellent, the food is great, and the atmosphere is nice.

I went here with my family for a brunch on a Sunday. Although all the food that we ordered tasted quite good, I wish there are more options for the food. The servers were quite attentive.

Me and my husband had an anniversary dinner at Rosso. Of course, we had a very good food and services. Staff that served us that time was very friendly and recommend us main course and dessert which turn out very nice. For the information her name is Nathania. Thanks again for everything.

Tried the sunday brunch buffet - priced at IDR 799k++/pax. The theme was italian/mediterranean and it was surprisingly good. Salad - wide spread of mediterranean style of salad. They had prawn, couscous salad and a few with lentils. All olive/balsamic dressed. It's good but it's quite standard. Appetizer - they had salad, foccacia bread, and a spread of cheese n salami. Loved the foccacia bread, and salami was as authentic as the one i ever tried in milan. Primo - they served grilled salmon, beef wellington, wagyu tomahawk, and lamb shank. The lamb was exceptionally good. Not a fan of lamb usually but this one has no lamby smell/taste and spiced perfectly. The other roast meats were not bad either. Pasta - very special shout out to the delicious risotto and pasta. The chef will bring his mini station personally to serve the 2x dishes and boy, they were go-od. My parents even liked them too (my mom esp is not a big fan of pasta). They also made fresh pizza although taste- wise, nothing special that i could remember specifically Dolce - Tiramisu was good! No wonder its quite difficult to get one although i checked the station 2x. My most fav was definitely the log cake with the rich dark choco mousse in the center. Cake was moist enough and rich! Yumz Drinks - tbh their refreshing drinks: fruit punch, lychee tea were made properly. BUT! The coffee was terrible. I expected more from an italian restaurant. Overall, would give this restaurant another go when it's dinner time where they will serve ala-carte instead of buffet. Solid 7.5/10
