If you are traveling to Holiday World this is a great family restaurant. We were looking for something a little more healthy food than just a pizza and wing place. Highly recommend if you are looking for nicely sized kids serving and adult menu. Also adult beverages available. From kids menu the kids had pizza, tater tots, Mac n cheese, chicken tenders. Adults had salad and grilled tenderloin sandwich. All was very good.

A great place for a quick lunch and also a drink. I tried the Philly cheese steak and added the onion rings. My wife had the turkey club with chips. All the food was great and the owner was friendly, attentive and quick to serve us despite it being pretty busy at the time. The lunch menu has a lot of classic lunch items but no steaks etc. The dinner menu which begins at 4pm has the steaks and the more dinner appropriate items. There were numerous TV's with various games on. We were staying in Santa Claus Indiana and this was recommended because Santa Claus doesn't have many places to eat. Google took us down gavel roads to get here. Ha! It was very scenic and adventurous!

The BEST fried Chicken EVER! Excellent service. Great atmosphere! Very family friendly and the only good sit down restaurant around. We eat here yearly and are NEVER disappointed... definitely recommend for everyone to try. Perfectly cooked food every time. Just GREAT!

The workers are friendly enough but they lack in service as we never received our refills, had to go up and request check, and to go boxes for ordered items that took too long to arrive. Buffet was alright but not worth $20 each. My mixed drink was excellent not too strong or weak.

We wanted a family restaurant that was something we couldn't get at home. Everyone was happy and left full. Food in my opinion was amazing. Atmosphere was good just a little loud but we weren't the only family there from holiday world. We plan on going back again when we visit holiday world again in a month. I had the pork steak and tasted almost just like what I make at home. All of us were very satisfied

My wife and I had a family dinner at The Chateau and we had an absolutely wonderful experience! Sammi was our server and never have I had a waitress in my life that was better her! The food was spectacular and I recommend anyone who’s hungry to make the drive! It’s worth it!

To be honest, I don’t recommend. We had 5 people, 3 got the buffet, 2 (including me) ordered off the menu… everyone else at the table finished and after an hour I hadn’t gotten my food yet. We mentioned to the waitress 3 times that we hadn’t received our food and still hadn’t gotten it. I got the BLT to-go and it wasn’t even that great. 🤷‍♀️

I had a grilled tenderloin and it was amazing! The waitress was very friendly and did a great job! Thanks for lunch!

The Chateau is a classic tavern in the heart of rural Indiana. A great place to take your family for an evening meal or hang out in the bar with friends to watch a game. Super relaxed atmosphere with plenty of locals that will warmly welcome you. Extremely affordable food and you won't find a less expensive place to drink... example.... $4 shots of Patron! Stop in and tell them Todd sent you! You'll like it I guarantee it!

Food was OK. Service was OK. Our waitress took our order and then she must’ve left for lunch. A waiter refilled our drinks. No one ever asked us if the food was good. We ordered sandwiches that were supposed to come with potato chips and we each ordered a side of either french fries or onion rings. They did not give us potato chips, but also did not give us a discount on the onion rings or french fries. Given the price we paid, and the service we were provided, we will not return. If we’re in the area again, we’ll find another place for lunch.
