There are very few places in Split where one can get a beer without having to order food as well. Lvxor is my favorite; has great air conditioning; a very cool decor; cold beer; and a super-friendly staff. If you just want to get out of the heat and have a beer/drink without having to order food, this is the place. Located across the courtyard from the tower in Diocletian's Palace.

Amazing. 3 different areas. You can sit on the steps of the palace on the burgundy cushions and order drinks with appetizers which we did on 08-12-21 while listening to the live music. You can eat in the restaurant, which we didn't get to do. You can also eat at the Luxor's outside dinning area under the watch tower, which we did on 08-13-21. Waiter was INCREDIBLE! Knew the menu, what was in the dishes. I couldn't decide so he asked me for my top two, then described each and made a suggestion when I asked. We had the absolute best meal we have had since we arrived in Croatia 7 days ago. Was the perfect ending to the day. Sinisa is the manager of the tower area. It was wonderful to watch him and his team working together. Type of service and quality of food we would get in a 5 star restaurant in the USA. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.

A wonderful Split experience! The locale is situated in the heart of the Diocletian Palace(old town). Serves average food etc. The highlight is that the place serves drinks at seats around the little square. After 8pm there’s live music. So make sure you go there, grab a seat and a Few drinks and enjoy the Dalmatian evening and fine tunes. Service is hardworking and impressive. We loved Viktor. He was so helpful and friendly. He made our night. Expensive yes, but by far my favorite thing to do in Split

The taste isn't anything special. The price is high because of the good location. But the location is so great. It is romantic to have a coffee or tea outdoors on a hot evening overlooking the Dioclecijan palace. It would be nice if it was less crowded. While parents drink coffee, children can play in the square in front of the palace.

I was there last night, very nice place with live music, excellent food and very friendly staff. It is located on the main square with cushions all around for their guests. I noticed some people who wanted to seat in their bar area but without ordering, just to watch and listen live music. When they’ve been removed by a waiter they threatened with a bad review. They had enough space to seat on both sides where is not bar, but no, they decide to took the opportunity to other people who want to order drinks. I don’t even understand where in the world you can seat in a bar or restaurant and order nothing!!! Then they write lies about the place out of a revenge. Shame of you people with fake reviews! Think about your behaviour!

Come here for tasty omlet breakfast. You have more to pick but their omlets are just wow. Great tea quality. Ambient is special, with mistyc and hermetic motives. Special place to visit. Oh, and you cam see remains of 1700 years old Dioklecian's pallace.

I don’t know what kind of problem during the summer tourist had to deal with, but I can spend only lot of many beautiful words for this place . First of all it priceless to take a coffe in the most center and historical part of the city . You can go on the second floor and watch from the windows the peristil and the church. Not to mention how good is the coffee too . They gave us also some delicious homemade cookies which made the experience simply wonderful. Attached you will see the bill to prove how I was shocked ( in positive way ) for the price . I came from Italy and make sure that in most of historical places a coffe would coast the double , or even three times more . Highly recommended!!!!!

What a lovely place! Atmosphere, location, service, food can't decide which one was better. The staff is really kind and attentive. Prices are really reasonable since you are sitting on one of the most important historical sites in Split. Lovely live music after 20:00 is just cherry on the top. My favorite spot in Split for sure!

Great spot for breakfast right at the entrance of the palace. I ordered the Vege omelet and it was delicious- full of fresh veggies and the macchiato was to die for!!! The staff was so kind and service was quick.

I was really sceptical of this place as it looks like a tourist trap but the service is great and that makes up for the average food. Nice place to have a drink and listed to the music every night at 8PM. The waiters were attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is great.

Perfect! Great atmosphere with live music in the evening, we found that it was usually on approximately 8/9pm through to 10/11pm. The drink prices are slightly high, but this is to be expected considering the location. Take a seat on one of the little red cushions and just relax…

We went here multiple times for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and they had no problem serving breakfast even if we got a little late. We appreciated that a lot since we usually ended up having a late breakfast and then skipping lunch.

Racially discriminatory restaurant with very poor service and intentionally difficult customers. First of all, there is no signage in the area of the steps to indicate that this section of the steps belongs to this bar. we waited on this section of the steps before the evening concert began, when they were empty, nothing on the steps. During the 45 minutes we waited there was no one to tell us, nor did any of the waiters ask if we would like something to drink, even though they passed in front of us several times. Suddenly, just before the concert was about to begin, a waiter approached us and ordered us: Sir, you must leave! Sorry but you must go!” He said this while throwing cushions with logos onto the steps. A minute after we left and struggled to find our seats, the waiter asked a white customer who was also sitting on the steps, “Sir, would you like a drink? ” (I've never experienced this kind of arrogance in Croatia, and you can feel it in the store's reply. The photo is just to illustrate the location of the steps.)

Wow! The food was great, the service was wonderful, we had the best waiter, Mario, who was patient, nice and explained and recommended on good dishes. And he was so great with our kids, my daughter fall in love with him! And the live music was great! Best place in our trip in Croatia!

Honestly food is just okay but cool you get to eat in 3rd century square and on the same stones. Service was phenomenal tho! Waiter so nice, funny and attentive.

I stopped over here for a few beers and some drinks. The restaurant is located in the hypostyle hall of Diocletian's palace, dead center of ancient Split. The indoor restaurant is decorated in a continental style with lots of wood and earth tones. The outdoor bar is on the ancient steps of the hypostyle hall. The service was good, timely, though not overly enthusiastic, drink quality was pretty average. I'd rate the value as very poor as the prices are higher than in many U.S bars, nevertheless worth visiting for the shear surroundings.

Lovely upscale place in the middle of all the touristy chaos in Split. History of the location is very interesting and the local schnapps were delightful. Well worth a visit. Squid ink aranchini was delicious.

Best pasta with beef and truffles! Nice sitting inside where you can talk as well as listening to the live musician singing soft romantic songs. Visitors sitting around the square listening to the soft music and dancing. A beautiful evening to spent with family, friends and love ones. 👍

This place had a brilliant atmosphere right in the center of Diocletian's Palace in Split. We went there for three evenings during our six-day visit and had food on two of those evenings, enjoying some relaxing drinks on our final evening. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of one of the staff members who served us every night, but he was absolutely top-notch. There was music playing outside every evening, which added to the great ambiance, and the place was buzzing with energy. I highly recommend it.

Lvxor has an excellent location. I would say this is a must-go-too spot, even just for a coffee break, which is what I did. They have outdoor seating on pillows and indoor (air conditioned) seating in a very beautiful room. It feels very upscale and the service matches. The staff was so kind and welcoming. I think 4,50€ for a cappuccino was a good price for the quality of the drink and the atmosphere.

It was a delicious breakfast with my family in the middle of the Palace. Beautiful Christmas ambience. Very kind and polite service and very good coffee. Most of the places in centre are closed, especially in the evening so we’re happy that we found this one and will come back for dinner for sure. What a shame that this amazing city doesn’t have a winter opportunities…

Highlight of our stay in Split. Drinking a glass of wine on historic steps of Diocletian's palace while lovely live music is being played in the background is the perfect way to end your day while in Split. The staff is really lovely and we felt like at home. Their restaurant is exquisite. Would recommend 100%. Cant wait to come back!

Quick, friendly service. A bit pricey, but we expected that because of location. Food was really good. We had the meat platter for two and bruschetta with prosciutto.

Great service. Super friendly and attentive. Sat outside in the old square - cushions, music = idyllic. Food - hmmm not so much. Stale bread and old, dry crusty cheese, needed to pull the good bits from the stale. All good though, the outdoor, balmy evening experience and good service was worth the high prices and poor quality

We had dinner here and drinks in the square after. Although the service was attentive and friendly, and the surrounding was very pleasant, the food was disappointing quality and very overpriced given the standard of food and drinks served (think we were served tap water when we asked for and charged for bottled water). Wouldn't recommend unfortunately, which is a shame since they have one of the best locations in all of Split.

The only thing good about this place is it’s location. Bad food, worse service and worst behavior. Reserved for a birthday dinner for my friend. Told them at the reserving to make sure a birthday cake comes at the end of the dinner. And the manager said yes everything will be perfect. Surprisingly, after dinner I am informed by the waiter that they don’t do birthday cakes. They are responsible for monumentally messing up my friend’s birthday. My recommendation NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE.

Espresso was rich, smooth finish with a good amount of bitterness. Cheese plate was aright. Outdoor seating is high-style, oozing with history. Neat place.

We visited this restaurant in winter and as it was the only restaurant that is open inside Split, we decided to drop here for lunch. The restaurant is quite conveniently located opposite of the St Domnius Church, which I guess will make it super crowded during peak periods. We were one of the only few tables in winter though, but we still had to wait a while for service. Food was average and adequate to fill your stomach, but won't say it's really special. Staff was still friendly though so appreciate the service. Price is also on the expensive end. Won't say it's a must visit, only if you cannot find food maybe.

Undoubtably the best coffee in Split. My dad became known to the staff, as he popped in each morning. He still talks about their amazing customer service. Of course Split can be swamped with people so if you want more personalised service, come outside of peak hours otherwise appreciate it for its good coffee and priceless atmosphere.

Great place to have a drink in the Peristil. Live music at 8pm, so come earlier to get a good seat outside on the cushions. Though the musician may not start on time (when o was there he started at 8pm for a few minutes and didn’t return until 8.45pm!). But it a great place to have a snack and a drink before dinner. The service is fairly quick. The anchovies are surprisingly delicious and great with a cold local beer. Highly recommended

This is the best place to have dinner. When you sit and enjoy food & drinks under the Bell Tower that feeling is speachless. The Waiter suggested me to try Homemade Green Pasta with Seafood. It was soooo yummy I still have that taste lingering on my toung. I recommend totally worth having food (possibly dinner as the lite a candle for you❤️) and enjoying the ambience.
