The food and wine are top class! Being off-season, we felt we could have had more attention e.g. waiter explaining the wine and food, BUT it really is not missed when the food is phenomenal, really supberb chef! They have a large outdoor terrace you can not see from the front.

Excellent food quality, full of surprises and good portion. Fish Soup - taste of freshness and fish chunks are so tender and juicy. Sou-vide duck breast - cooked to perfection, wonderfully married with the beetroot sauce. Crispy skin and medium rare throughout. Truffle mushroom tagliatelle - smell and taste with note of truffle. It is well balanced and the home-made pasta is outstanding. Service wasn’t perfect but ok which accounts for the one star off from full score.

Super tasty food, good portions and super service! Would come back here anytime soon. I had my Birthday and they thought about that in a very special way, We are in love with kitchen 5!

The staff was so kind and helpful. Their grilled octopus was probably the best and most tender octopus I've ever eaten. Great place. High recommended!

A hidden gem. What started out as an impression of the staff trying too hard, ended up being one of the best meals we had eaten in our 30 day Split trip. A divine combination of sweet and sour is this place's specialty, and while the prices are on the fine dining side and portions also follow that rule, the taste is an adventure you shouldn't miss. Had a stellar duck breast in sweet orange dressing, the girlfriend had a "lubin" filet, spiced so good it should be illegal. The staff was cordial and professional despite starting off with an impression that they were genuinely surprised to see someone come in. The food on offer is limited but that's on purpose because everything is special. My dessert, millefoglio, was mediocre and rather a trefoglio, but the lemon tart with chocolate mousse is exceptional. Highly recommended if not very hungry.

We ate here twice during our visit in Split, I strongly recommend the cheese/ham platter for starter, filet mignon, and any dessert. The staff is the most friendly we have met so far. Our favorite restaurant in Split, we will definitely come again our next visit.

Some issues with their payment machine, apparently the power went flat, payment was taken and had proof but they wanted a second payment and caused some troubles but . Food was nice and top quality a little pricey but was satisfactory

This is a great little restaurant with excellent plating and a very nice outdoor ambience. The food was very good and the pricing was reasonable for a tourist place. I came here with friends and we all liked it. The drinks were good as well. I'll include pictures here. On a hot day, this is a good place to cool off as most restaurants in the area do not have air conditioning and the outdoor patio here is very well shaded.

Awesome meal, from starters to dessert. Great service and never felt rushed. Step onto this side street and enjoy the amazing presentation and excellent flavors. Really impressed with this restaurant.

Possible the best restaurant we went to in split in terms of food and service. The ravioli was divine and the waiter explained in detail to us about Croatian wine which we weren’t familiar with - and we ended up really good value red.

Very good restaurant, the veal was exquisite and so was the wine. As many places in split, tap water is not available, so that you have to order a bottle of water you have to pay for. Same goes with bread. Atmosphere is great.

This was probably my best meal during my entire 5 week trip to Europe, and we ended up there totally randomly as our hotel steps came out right at this restaurant. Every dish we had was amazing. Was 10 x better than all the restaurants we made reservations for months in advance. Fantastic , high quality good, great service

The best restaurant we've been to in Split, probably one of the best we've ever been. Absolutely amazing flank steak with a lovely truffle sauce and for dessert a wonderful cookie with pistachio cream. I would definitely recommend eating at Kitchen 5 when visiting Split.

Food was lovely and the staff were great☺️ They were unfortunately out of the bottle of wine we ordered however the waiter came back with a more expensive alternative but gave it to us for the price of the original one we ordered. I would definitely recommend for a nice meal with good vibes💙 It current 4.5 stars doesn’t do it justice at all!

This was a romantic dinner - the meals were all made using local ingredients and they looked beautiful 🤩 the flavours were great! I would say with the risotto I thought the prawns would be larger but the flavours were fab! Prices: €24 for the risotto and €26 for the stone bass, €6 for a glass of wine and €8 for the dessert which is large enough to share.

Average pretty tasteless food. Lovely setting inside and helpful waitstaff. Be wary of being seated outside in the back courtyard - next to very busy thouroughfare of the internal/external door, the very noisy generator(?) constantly ticking over outside, or people disgustingly smoking right next to you and all over your food and forcing you to passively smoke.

The food was delicious, and you can tell they paid attention not just to the food but the plating of it. Our server was very attentive, and the back terrace is open yet cozy.

Rarely I post good reviews, however Kitchen 5 absolutely met the expectations (sorry guys, there is no "exceeded" in my realm:). We stumbled upon this place while looking for not such a touristy spot and did not regret. The food was flavorful, properly prepared with creative touch of garnishment. Overall, from the friendly staff to digestive drinks, it was all excellent. I hope to visit Kitchen 5 again.

THE BEST - This restaurant looks low key from the outside and is a hidden gem within the old town. We walked past once or twice and looked for other options in a more populated area. After getting turned down a few times, we re stumbled upon this magical establishment and it was the best meal we have eaten in Split. We ordered the burrata, the veal steak and the octopus - each was better than the next. The service was incredible and our waiter Marin made the experience so special. Cannot rave about this restaurant enough. Eat here

Great take on local fare, loved the smoke tuna carpaccio, cheese plate OK. Great wine, perfect lamb, not so sure about gnocchi strudel, but admired the effort.

It is pricy but worth every kuna you paid. Their homemade green tagliatelle with truffel sause was amazing. I just hope it's a main dish instead of appetizers ❤️

This was place a PLEASANT SURPRISE. We were in Split on a busy Saturday and didn’t have a dinner reservation anywhere. We walked around and got rejected from 6 different restaurants. This was our literal 7th choice and it astounded me how freaking good it was. Get the cheese plate which was phenomenal and had this incredible truffle goat cheese. Then get their stand-out dish the truffle Parmesan risotto. It was unlike anything else I had in Croatia and I was floored.
