Dining at Restoran Duje was an absolute delight! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the service was attentive and professional. But the highlight, of course, was the food. The menu was an elegant fusion of traditional Croatian cuisine and modern gastronomic techniques. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were simply outstanding. We especially loved the octopus salad, the grilled sea bass, and the homemade chocolate cake. The wine list was also impressive, with a great selection of local and international wines to choose from. All in all, Restoran Duje truly deserves its reputation as one of the best restaurants in Split. Highly recommended!

Staff are very friendly and provide good vibes. We had steaks and cuttlefish inked gnocchi, we enjoyed them!

The food was divine here. I highly recommend the stuffed squid with shrimp and the wine pictured here in if you love a dry, full red wine. I was glad to be in this upscale atmosphere with attentive waitstaff. One of my best meals in 7 cities in Croatia!

A great dining experience with high quality food!

The restaurant doesn't look it from the outside, but is a high quality establishment with very good food and attentative staff. Our waiter recommended the carpaccio, which was one of the best we ever had, and the Mediterranean steak and grilled turkey with cheese. We had a very good experience and a nice dinner, would totally recommend.

The best restaurant in Split! This place is a safe bet if you want to eat tasty local food. They also have a great choice of local wines. I loved their homemade ravioli, squid filled with shrimp or steaks. With food they serve ovenbaked bread, which goes perfectly with their scampi pate. Service is excellent, with experienced and knowledable staff. Cannot recommend them more :).

This restaurant has become a tradition for our big family gathering once a year. It is absolutely delicious, and I recommend it to everyone looking for a nice place to try some fresh specialties (octopus and veal peka, shrimp pate, prosciutto)!

Amazing food and excellent service as well as atmosphere. I highly recommend the steak with gorgonzola and truffle sauce. I also really enjoyed my octopus salad and stuffed calamari. The portions were larger than expected and the price was very reasonable! I would love to come back here again and again!!

Good quality food comparable service and ambiance to a la carte dining, generous portions, prices quite reasonable. The photos show .squid stuffed with shrimps, cheese ravioli in a prosciutto and shrimp marinara sauce, and the last dish is grilled fish , with pasta in a wine sauce with shrimps.

Tasty meals in an elegant restaurant out of a city center, a part of the Gripe Sports Area. Calm place far away from a city rush, nice staff, big and tasty portions, spacious parking... Good choice to spend a nice time.

Finally something that resembles something Croatian. All others places around are purely for tourists and they serve international food options and each place has basically the same menu. This was recommended to me by our apartment owner/host when I asked for a 'local' joint. This place is also a lot cheaper than others in the old town. The location is a little out of the way for most but worth the walk! Downside is the outside, which is facing a courtyard near some martial arts and Olympic lifting gyms and it looks a little sketchy at night. Overall great experience!

What a memorable birthday at this wonderful restaurant. We had a shrimp pâté followed by a very fresh seafood platter. They then gave us some additional house wine for toasting my birthday. Then the desert was followed with the appropriate flamboyance of hot chocolate poured on ice cream and semi freddo. Best meal in 8 weeks of travelling.

Superb quality food, at very reasonable prices, excellent service. Friendly waiter giving us genuine and good recommendations. Bill including two mains and starter to share, with red wine, came under 40€, very large portions.

4.5 stars. Value hard to beat. The restaurant is hidden away in a sports centre but popular with both locals and tourists. The dining room was well presented and the staff helpful. Food was delicious - ham, black ink risotto, homemade ravioli and octopus salad. €50 for 2.

This place was recommended by a local person from Split. We had the Octpus salad, beefsteak with gorgonzola cheese, stuffed calamari and Risotto with chicken. All of the food was good and prices were reasonable. The waiter that served us spoke English and he was fantastic. I would recommend you try the Octopus salad.
