A truly biblical experience - the frogs made me see things in myself and society that I have never seen before. The expressions in their nice glass eyes were both dulled and lifeless, but profound and knowledgeable after their 100 years on this cursed earth. Anyone who seeks to elevate their psychological state to The Frog Plane must visit here, or else.

Very nice and very small museum to visit, I am quite annoyed that there is a no photo rule which is why I am giving it 4 stars. It is quite a shame that you are not able to take pictures with the frogs as a souvenir or that they don't even offer the possibility to have your pictures taken and printed for a price. Despite the rule I did still take some pictures. Otherwise it is a very nice place to visit, the scenarios the frogs are placed in have been very well interpreted and the detail is very impress. Very good place to visit, especially if you have kids

I had to take these pictures sneakily because we were told that you can’t take pictures of the frogs. I love frogs, but for €13 this is a rip off.

It do be a froggy land. Quirky museum with whimsical dioramas of stuffed frogs doing different activities and scenes. However it’s a big overpriced - €15 for a museum you can see in about 15 minutes

Funny little museum, must be one of it’s kind. Morbid and entertaining at the same time. But way overpriced 240 kn for a family and no more than 10 minuts worth of watching.

A very unusual experience! I’m not quite sure what I expected reading the leaflet but the museum was certainly... interesting. The room contains displays of hundreds of stuffed frogs arranged in various positions to simulate scenes such as a circus, building site, school playground and many more... I’d imagine most will be unexpectedly entertained by the exhibits, it’s worth popping in for ten minutes!

I’m not sure it’s 15€ good (12€ cash) but I praise its ambition. Also I bought the most expensive fridge magnet I own from there too for €9

Ferenc Mere was a genius. The positions the frogs are in are a true work of art. I never expected such a place to exist, but it was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the visit while in Split. (I really recommend seeing the frogs in funny poses.)

It was one of the most interesting museums I have ever been to. The amount of work and detail that went into these scenes is amazing. The best part is the funny captions for each. This is a must-see if you visit Split.

The most comprehensive frog museum I have been to. Far from competition! It also made us thinking... Are frogs maybe the better people?...

It's fun and disturbing at the same time. Very fun. It's not big, you'll be done in 30 minutes

A truly unique experience and highly entertaining. The only issues were that the exhibition was a bit small and a little pricy (in comparison to other nearby attractions) for what it was. The exhibition takes about 20minutes max. to complete.

Unfortunately you are not allowed to take photos of the exhibits but they really were fascinating. They had lots of black and white photos on the walls, which the "artist" had based his frogs on. There are over 500 frogs in here and they have all been positioned with care to make them look realistic. Definitely something you should do when visiting Split!

This was a very unique exhibit that was quite exhilarating. They give many warnings to read all parts of the exhibit to get the full effect and the artist is correct for making us do this. The labels are much of the fun. The assortment of 507 taxidermy frogs is a feat and they are very human like in their behaviors. The artist who created the exhibit from 1910-20 had a very creative mind and we enjoyed exploring. The exhibit is a little small and is definitely way overpriced, but it is still a cool experience.

I visited Froggyland about 5 years ago and had a great experience, now I returned and I am very dissapointed by the prices. Entrance used to be around 5 euros which is what it should be for what it is, it is a small but nice and funny exhibition. Now, they raised the prices to a ridiculous 15 euros which is honestly a giant scam. I used to love this place, but now I hate the greed and the blant attempt to rip you off to visit. It has completely ruined the quirky and fun atmosphere this place used to have. If you really want to go, please do, but remember that the soul has been ripped out of this once magical establishment. Disappointed…. :’(

Once I realised they used real dead frogs for their personal financial gain it left me absolutely hopping mad!

Definitely a unique experience. It’s a museum entirely of “cadaver” frogs posed into various positions to create and tell a story. It’s 16€ if using a credit card and it’s not that large. The stories are ok but the diorama are comical.

Very nice attraction to visit. 500 frogs, over 100 year old, all set up in a set of interesting and funny scenes. Staff friendly and enthusiastic. Recommended.

I didn’t get what the point. Frogs, so what. They got more books with the “Trippadviser” reviews than frogs. Actually, this “museum” overpriced 10€ for this? It’s forbidden to take photos. What is cool: this frogs really old (100 years), but looks nice, also they are representing life in 1920s (two stars for this).

Froggyland is a whimsical, wonderful little museum. Excellent little souvenirs, too. If the idea of frogs doing human things does not thrill you, then simply do not go?

Its quite small but worth a visit because its so bizarre. Real stuff frogs from 1910-1920 period. Definitely better than the GOT museum metres away. Cheaper if you pay cash. Photos forbidden

We had a good laugh in the museum, the exhibits are funny and the descriptions have a dry sense of humour. €13 was perhaps a bit expensive in my opinion, but this did include a Froggyland postcard which is a good memento. I’d recommend to anyone that has the time to appreciate the weird and wonderful.

Froggyland is an unmissable trip when visiting Split. Just literally so many frogs. I've never seen anything quite like it.

You will never see anything like this anywhere else. We were only sorry that the visit was so short. My daughter and I had our pick of things to do in Split and did not regret choosing this for a second. It was delightfully weird. Yes, it's a tourist trap. Did we care? Absolutely not. All hail Froggyland! (writing this review in 2022, visited in 2017)

A fascinating and unique experience, which you’d certainly never find anywhere else. We expected it to be bigger for the price, though: at 15 euros each, this was the most expensive 15 minutes of our trip to Split. Even if you spend a lot of time looking at each display, it’s really only one small room and you could only spend a maximum of 30 mins here. We enjoyed it and it was an impressive historical life’s work, but sadly not good value for money.

This was a highlight of our Mediterranean cruise last week. What a quirky, unusual and very artistic little museum. I would recommend a visit, take in the oddness of it all and enjoy some very interesting froggy shenanigans! Oh, and don't forget to sign the visitor book. 🐸🐸🐸

It was great! We went with a group of students and had the reduced price of €8 per person. For that money, it is worth it 100%!! We stayed there for an hour or so and had the time of our lives, our days was made. In every single display, there is always another fun detail to be found. Its like a fun spin on an ethnographic museum!

It’s kinda fun, you need more time than you think to see every detail tbh. But I’d say that the ticket for this kind of place is pricey. However it was weird but fun :) P.S. the ticket bought with cash is cheaper than with card

This was truly a unique and fun experience, each display is intricate and funny. You'll definitely love to see the displays the only downside would be the pricing could be considered expensive for the size of the exhibit. But it is definitely still worth a visit once!!!

Such a fun and unique experience. Def quite small but worth it! No picture allowed inside. Loads of unique souvenirs. Honestly can’t describe how insane this attraction is you just have to see the frogs for yourself.

Froggyland is genius and bonkers. If you love quirky places, and want something unusual this is definitely for you. Even if you don't, then this is a must visit. Don't question the ticket price, it's honestly worth every penny. I couldn't live it more.

been waiting for years for the chance to visit froggyland after hearing about the fun my friends had there. However upon seeing the entrance is now 15 euros I decided ultimately that its now unfortunately a scam, and decided to save my money

Quite interesting exhibition of dead frogs arranged in unusal poses. Unfortunately taking photos is prohibited. The price is too high for just maybe 20-30 minutes of visiting. Additionally if you pay by card the price is higher than when you pay in cash

I absolutely loved this. Best 8 pounds I've ever spent. Would definately recommend to anyone in the area especially if you love frogs like me. We had a great time looking and all the funny scenarios.

Quirky place with fun stories, probably not the best for kids as its not especially interactive, but its uniqueness should be appreciated. It's also quite small and you're (not unreasonably) not allowed to take photos so it mightn't be for you if your only intention is to capture the experience on the gram

  • 5/5 James H. 1 year ago on Google
One of those unique attractions you won't see anywhere else. No photos allowed within the museum but I found it made you appreciate the frogs in all their glory.

We absolutely loved it! One of the beat exhibitions I've ever seen. Never seen anything like this before! I loved the many ways in which the frogs were presented and the funny commentary as well! Wish I could've taken pictures! 80kn is a bit expensive, but it was worth every coin! Would do it again! Because like Ferenc Mere himself would say: Frogs are my greatest passion!

Very strange! To kill so many frogs of the same kind and arrange them humanlike in various situations like school class, sports, crafts... is a weird idea. Don't expect to learn something about frogs or to see different species. Rather boring and I regretted not to have spent the money to one of the excellent street musicians or art galleries in Split.

An interesting experience, not something you may find in any other city. Worth a try if you have time to spare, like a bit of history and really like frogs…

  • 4/5 Petra S. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice small museum. Nice to see and to take children. The only catch is that you can't take photos.

  • 5/5 Liza K. 2 years ago on Google
Well, that was WEIRD, but in the best of ways. I do think it's a bit disappointing that they ask not to take pictures, and it is indeed a little over priced, but it is an experience you would not get anywhere else.

Tip of the top. It's a must when visiting Split. More than 500 frogs in people's life positions. Amazing. Great for kids and adults.
